Kramaric - Why I chose Leicester City

Recommended Posts

Kramaric is suppose to be one of the hottest things in football - anyone thinking before we even signed him that he would be sticking around for life is complete nuts. Chelsea wanted him, he wanted games, Leicester was ALWAYS ALWAYS going to be a stepping stone. FFS. Some people on here talk like we are champions league, we are BOTTOM OF PREM with a CHAMPIONSHIP squad.

He's here on a 3 year deal, If we stay up we will get another season out of him, who knows, if we start heading towards them Europa League spots then he might even see out his contract. The Kid is 23, he's up and coming, it's an obvious trajectory.

Someone mentioned we slated Knocky when he said it - Knocky is good but he's not suppose to be in the same league as Kramaric so it's completely different, the thing that would have pissed me off about Knocky is the fact that he reakoned he'd be good enough for a champions leage club lol

Let's just enjoy Kramaric whilst he's here, if he turns out to be the bollocks we should be grateful for every game he gives us.

Hey Collymore. Not serious, just thought after I wrote it that it sounded like a rant. Apologies on being a bit harsh

However, what I will say is that you need to know Krama to understand the things he says are pretty genuine. He likes it at Leicester, and for now his only concern is playing well and trying to help keep the team in the top flight. During that interview he was being asked about himself, not the whole team. So every question was asked like 'what do you, how will you, do you' so he did answer with I to those questions. But he's very much a team player. Also to people who think he'll just run, he's come from Rijeka for goodness sakes, so this is a massive step up coming to LCFC. To be talking about him running off after 25 minutes of game time does annoy me, there's no need to be having these conversations already. If the team stays up he will be staying. If he plays crap and they get relegated then he will struggle to get back into a prem side. So it's a catch 22 really. He plays great and the team stays up then he stays with Leicester. Of course if he bangs in 20 goals next season someone might offer crazy money. But he is a serious guy and all business, so if he says he's happy just go with that. He has a lot to prove before he can even consider moving to another club

I just want to enjoy watching play for this team. That is my whole focus in life right now. Seriously, I don't care how any other Croatian plays apart from him right now. If he fails I will be gutted

To be quite honest I find it a really weird position to be in as a fan. He feels like a loan player not a Leicester player at the moment. I understand that he's an honest lad and he doesn't want to pull the wool over anyone's eyes but apart of me wishes he could just lie and say that he wants to play out the rest of his days with Leicester.

I'll handle the heartbreak of him handing his transfer request when the time comes, just please pretend for me!

I don't like the idea of stepping stones.

I think if the team survives from here, and if you go by stats at Xmas they don't from last place, then there will be a lot of feel good factor in the team. You've got a owner willing to spend to achieve success, and the goal is to be a Europa league side in a couple of seasons. I think he's been sold that story by Pearson, and he's also got a manager who totally believes in him being a success, much like he had at Rijeka. You can't dismiss things like that, it's good to be the main man at the club you're at. The prem is littered with guys who made the mistake of thinking they were too big for their own side only to fall by the wayside at bigger teams, thinking of Scott Parker there, who was great before he went to Chelsea.

When Modric went to Spurs this same stuff kept coming up in the early days, but he stayed 4 seasons. Not saying Krama will, but he won't be going to Chelsea at seasons end if the team stays up, and he will play all of next season with the goal being Europa league qualification, and he will be the focus of that drive. After that who knows?

Right now I'm looking at Berahino and just shaking my head at him being a half season success and wanting out to a bigger club. He's gone off the boil lately and will go down the same path as Parker and co. These guys want it all, and they've done nothing to earn that. They've paid top dollar for Krama, so if someone comes in it needs to be a big big offer, and that won't happen after half a season. Let's worry about staying up and see what type of players come in during the summer window

No he didn't. He said he wanted to do well at Leicester and was happy here, but if he was performing well enough he'd love to play Champions League.

The actual difference with the FT reaction is that at the time of that interview all the nobheads on here thought we'd be Champions League by now. Now we've had some perspective we're apparently able to be more magnanimous, even if it's just one idiot after another saying that if he scores goals and moves on we won't mind.

I for one really like what he's said. He hasn't come out with a load of PR clichéd rubbish that he's clearly been fed from some agent. See Bony for an example. Kramaric has been genuine from the first interview. And if he uses us as a stepping stone then fine. Clearly that means he'll have done well. We aren't a top 4 club. There's always a bigger club out there. Do you really expect Tadic to be at Southampton in 18 months if he carries on playing the way he has been....

If they're playing Champions League football, yes.

Doesn't matter. If he really shines, like bags 8-9 goals shines, we may well stay up and he will stay.

If he doesn't shine, and nothin changes regarding our form, who cares and we may well still recoup some decent money.

In all fairness can't see him wanting to play the likes of The MK DONS, can you??

In all fairness, I can't see us getting relegated and dropping down two leagues at once.

Can you?

i think that reading between the lines what krama means "i have always dreamed of playing for the mighty foxes, filbert is the greatest football mascot of all time, the club are being very good to us and have let me kip i on the sofa in the teams hotel room until they get another set of bunk beds i share the room with  king and Schwarzer, at which point a couple more players who have dreamed of playing for foxes all there lives, the guy who has watched us on Japanese telly is just making sure he can watch Takeshi's castle at the hotel before signing. his only concern is the the will be too many players in the room and the will have to start getting smuggled in past security if all the players we are linked with actually sign.

didn't that pozo kid who played up front for man city against us have like number 87 or something, too? nige has clearly just said "listen, son, 91 isn't happening".

I believe at City; most of the development/academy lads are given a number from 50 upwards...for training kit, lockers etc.

He signed a six month deal on a flat on the day his work permit went through. He may have looked a some dumps but this one takes some beating...take it from me.

Bit of a cluster of new players in the area and a couple of well known rock stars.

Fair to say the days of settling and buying seem to have gone as the players no doubt will. Short or rolling tenancy contracts.Understandable.
