Kramaric - Why I chose Leicester City

So we're just a stepping stone.

He'll be gone next season whether we stay up or go down - unless he proves to be not good enough and no-one wants him.

if he proves "not good enough" we'll go down and probably need to get rid of him, if he proves good enough we'll have stayed up. makes perfect sense to everyone with half a brain.

For a young player of his perceived talent he has a fantastic attitude. He wants to play regularly, he's not interested in the pay cheque, the Rijeka fans say he's a very hard trainer and he's spoken out about not diving. Good to see.

didn't that pozo kid who played up front for man city against us have like number 87 or something, too? nige has clearly just said "listen, son, 91 isn't happening".

Just had a quick look and Pozo wore 78.

I'm actually surprised Nige lets his players wear coloured boots. He looks like someone who would call you a puff or something if you wore anything but black boots.

78/87 damn so close.

yeah i bet he thinks everyone should have short back and sides, short sleeve shirts and black boots. basically the army but in blue kits not camo gear :D

From Wikipedia

Players may now wear any number (as long as it is unique within their squad) between 1 and 99. To date, the highest number worn by a player in the Premier League is 78, by Manchester City's José Ángel Pozo v Sunderland on 3 December 2014.[citation needed]

Think we'll get him for one more seaaon if we stay up. After that who knows....

People always moan  when our foreign signings don't come out with clichéd rubbish about it being a dream to play for us.

I think the fact he's known of us for 2 years is enough to convince me he hasn't made a knee jerk decision to join us.

The truth is he probably dreams of becoming a big name and playing for a bigger club but that doesn't mean he won't give 100% for us. In fact this is why young players are often better signings than veterans. More incentive to perform.

Praying it works out for him, and ultimately us.

Edit: And if he is a stepping stone, so what? Look at Swansea - bought Bony, did well for them, scored lots of goals, sold for a healthy profit. I wouldn't complain if the same were to happen with Krama in a couple of seasons.

I can't quite believe that any realistic LCFC fan would believe this to be his dream move and for him to finish his career with us. We always will be a stepping stone, nothing wrong with that.

It's always been an issue for a lot of people on here that every footballer isn't a Leicester City fan so this is rarely their first choice for reasons other than money or a chance to put themselves in the shop window. Remember everyone going mental when we had Sven and offered more money than some prem teams, people on here saying players shouldn't need money as an incentive to sign for us when we were a mid table championship team.

For what it is worth, I think the lad comes across as a really grounded person and the more I hear what he has to say - the more I like him. Leo and Esteban also showed this same level headedness when they joined us so I am not surprised Nigel was delighted to have got us an excellent player but also person.

Besides, who can blame him about Leicester's appartments. We all love our City but it is a bit of a dump.

Andrej - my advice son is go and live over Bradgate way or somewhere of a similar nature. Views are picturesque!

He'd be all right if he was student.

You obviously must have half a brain if you believe the above to be true. He could hit 15 goals between now and the end of the season, and we could still be relegated, if our defence doesn't perform to standard.

I don't think it means that Kingy lives in a hotel! It's just the way either he's phrased the sentenced or the way it's been written down.

I've heard King's missus kicked him out because he's started sleep-gurning.

“It is an important step for me and then I can make a big step, which is why I am here.

meaning he will go to Hull when we get relegated.

He clearly wants to use us as a steppinh stone but hey at least he's honest about it

didnt Knocky get abuse on here for saying something similar until it turned out he was misinterpreted and we were all very idiot.

It's quite clear that most players will see us as a stepping stone.

Loyalty in the game is a rarity these days and I can't imagine many of the younger players will see us as their last club. So let's not kid ourselves!

Posted

I don't give 2 shits about his future ambitions as long as he scores the goals to keep us up. It would be nice for a change that we actually had a player someone else wanted.

Posted

“I want to play here with the best players around me.

“I hope I can play my part in helping Leicester stay in the Premier League.

So you want him to say We instead of I Collymore? English is his second language but in no sentence spoken does your comment make any sense. In fact, I would say English is not your first language if you can add a We before anything he said, which was totally team based apart from his own desires of playing in the premier league

Rant over

I can't work out if you're joking or being serious. Either way it's quite funny so you can't lose really.
