I blame Wellens Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I will support the 11 men on the pitch for the rest of the season. No point being a Newcastle fan and abuse my own players. They are as good as they are or as bad as they are. (Well apart from konch, who is in a league of his own). But our Nige is a different story. Never been his biggest fan but hard not to respect what he has done at this club BUT much of his decision making this season has been diabolical and I feel the blame of this season must lie solely with him. Pearson out whenever. Now, tomorrow, in 5 months. Doesn't really matter. The idea that he is the man to take us back into the Prem is hilarious. 10 years we waited for this and we are going down without a fight On and Off the pitch. Let's just put 11 men behind the ball. Don't put any pressure on the ball. Give away 70% possession. Put on a winger and take off the only player capable of getting on the end of the crosses. Be happy that no one has beat us by 3 clear goals all season yah de yahda...
SecretPro Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Say's to me people are reacting to shite. After beating utd we were going to be in Europe n Vardy was ready for an England call up. Vardy is now shite and we are as we lost to utd. Over reaction shite with no realism. Not often I agree with you but I do on this. Knee jerk w4nkers Do they all wear a full kit to? Lets be honest we don't agree but we both knew this season would be hard. I also think we agree Nige will come good even if that means we step down for a season. I like how easy you make relegation and instant promotion sound...and you think everyone else lives in cloud cuckoo land? This attitude on here like 'nevermind, we will just pop by the championship and say hello for a season before we come back and wipe the premier league floor with everyone' is absolutely ludicrous.
MC Prussian Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I can't believe some of you are still backing him up he's had 2 transfer windows now and failed in both to bring in what he obviously needed , I wonder how I would feel if I was the owners tonight ? There seems to be I couldn't give a toss attitude In what world are you living in? Most sane fans still back him no end. It's only a delusional minority with a superiority complex and unrealistic expectations that thinks otherwise.

Stepping down for a season might mean stepping down for 10 or maybe longer. 10 years to get back and we are struggling to make a decent shout at staying up.
MC Prussian Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Take your anger out on the " arrogant one " !! Ok, which side do you prefer it on?
Guest ttfn Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 We need to win 8 out of 13 games we need to go on some run to stay up We've got 15 games left and I'm confident that if we win 5 of them we'll stay up.
sylofox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 WHAT!!!!!!!!! I can fully accept critisism of the management and club, there is so much good thoughtful stuff posted on here. The problem is it's also so often laced with the above knee jerk stuff that I end up responding to that and not pointing out the critisisms I actually agree with. Think we only disagree in the transfer forurm. But hey lol
5waller5 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 In what world are you living in? Most sane fans still back him no end. It's only a delusional minority with a superiority complex and unrealistic expectations ambition that thinks otherwise. Although to be fair, I think we'll still stay up, just ..... would have preferred to make it a bit easier with a couple of quality signings though.
chapero82 Posted 2 February 2015 Author Posted 2 February 2015 We've got 15 games left and I'm confident that if we win 5 of them we'll stay up. I hope you are right mate I don't care how we do it as long as we stay up
5waller5 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Right, I'm off to watch the undateables .... can we please sign Capoue whilst I'm away, thanks a lot.
Babylon Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 There's the green light for pro Pearson posters to tell us how shit Darren Fletcher is. Good signing... but also a massive risk for a man with Crohn's, unless they get a pay as you play but it didn't seem like that's what he was wanting.
Kitchandro Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Sell your soul to the devil in return for a quick result - or stick by the principles that have done us right so far, even if it has taken a little longer? Would going down with the squad we currently have be the worst thing that could happen to us? Might a bit of yo-yoing be the better way for the club to build to where we want it to be? This attitude that it's going to be easy to come straight back up is becoming very annoying. You know what would be a better way to build? Staying in the fvcking Premiership. How is going down any benefit to us whatsoever?
goose2010 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I honestly don't no what some fans expected out of this season, it was always going to like this, I honestly don't get why you want to change the manager now, what would be the point?

You know what would be a better way to build? Staying in the fvcking Premiership. How is going down any benefit to us whatsoever? Well is it more annoying than the attitude that we're doomed if we don't stay up this season?
Bettsj2 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Your correct that some may go - but given the obviously good atmosphere around the squad, not all - we'd surely have a firm base to work with? Signing people for signings sake is not the way to go - panic can get you players like Junior Lewis. There was absolutely no panic involved in Peter Taylors signing Junior Lewis. Just very bad management!
Babylon Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Well is it more annoying than the attitude that we're doomed if we don't stay up this season? We're not? Phew. There was absolutely no panic involved in Peter Taylors signing Junior Lewis. Just very bad management! Exactly, it was well thought through and that's even scarier.
Bettsj2 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 So signing new players wouldn't make a difference then? It would for the first few games. Once the long bal.........no, no, not doing it.
sylofox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I like how easy you make relegation and instant promotion sound...and you think everyone else lives in cloud cuckoo land? This attitude on here like 'nevermind, we will just pop by the championship and say hello for a season before we come back and wipe the premier league floor with everyone' is absolutely ludicrous. Not at all do I think that is easy. No easier than staying up is. But I feel we have a better chance of return with Nige than without him. Where did we get with Mandric and 20 managers? Everyone craved stability now we have it. But hey sack Nige and hope whoever gets it don't want a major clear out and when that fvcks up the next man don't do the same. I'll go with you. But if it goes wrong I will say I told you so. Yes Nige may take us down but I feel He will bring us back stronger. My feelings so slag me.
Bettsj2 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 We're not? Phew. Exactly, it was well thought through and that's even scarier. I remember Taylor saying something like 'his potential is frightening' when he signed him.
Kitchandro Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I honestly don't no what some fans expected out of this season, it was always going to like this, I honestly don't get why you want to change the manager now, what would be the point? I honestly expected us to not be the worst team in the league. That was not too much to ask. Well is it more annoying than the attitude that we're doomed if we don't stay up this season? Yeh, it is. Getting relegated is the worst case scenario for a football team in a single season, if we ignore the very unlikely outcome of a Premier League team going bust. The football clubs aim should be to avoid relegation - going down would be total failure and set us back 2 years at the very least. If we go down we've performed below expectations (can I remind you that a side has never got 100 points or over and then been relegated the following season) and there is no positive from it. Don't try and make out that relegation is ok. It's not. It' failure.
Babylon Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I remember Taylor saying something like 'his potential is frightening' when he signed him. Well he was definitely frightening. I'll just remember Chelsea and forget the rest.

Yes Nige may take us down but I feel He will bring us back stronger. My feelings so slag me. This is not the point. Whether Pearson should keep his job is not the question. He is being criticised for his many failings this season and some people think that he's doing alright. He isn't, he's fvcked up and unless he pulls something out of the bag we are getting relegated. We've not been up against it like Burnley, we've had all the resources to stay up, including a very strong squad to work with. We have failed to strengthen that squad in crucial areas and have underperformed due to poor tactics. If we go down Pearson will have failed big time, and regardless of whether he stays or not that will be how this season is remembered.

Yes Nige may take us down but I feel He will bring us back stronger. My feelings so slag me. Fair enough but the Mandaric era isnt really a good comparison. He bought us when we were already in freefall, it wasnt the case of just having come down. The rot was well and truly set in and I doubt anything could have stopped the subsequent relegation.
sylofox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Right, I'm off to watch the undateables .... can we please sign Capoue whilst I'm away, thanks a lot. No he is unsignable lol
