Bettsj2 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Well he was definitely frightening. I'll just remember Chelsea and forget the rest.Agreed.Christ are we in the Twilight Zone?
Sharpe's Fox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 We will win 6 games (Palace, Hull, Swansea, Burnley, Newcastle and QPR) with two draws (Everton and Sunderland) and stay up on 37 points.
MC Prussian Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I hope this is some sort of sick joke. Nope - it's the last hour of the 2015 January transfer window and allegedly, we're doomed.
Bayfox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Why does my post draw from you such an extreme response? Would paying some higher wages to Capoue for instance until the end of the season really cause us to go bust? Of course not. Is he a quality player that could in fact assist us in staying up? Yes, definitely. What's wrong with that? But you have no idea what is going on inside the club the same as the rest of us. If as is common thought we have a wage budget an we want a player he wants 70k a week why should we just bend over and give it the full seth johnson?
sylofox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 This is not the point. Whether Pearson should keep his job is not the question. He is being criticised for his many failings this season and some people think that he's doing alright. He isn't, he's fvcked up and unless he pulls something out of the bag we are getting relegated. And like most of the squad he is learning. So lets just fvck him off hope the next guy does the job without destroying the squad. And Hope the next guy don't fvck it up too.
Bayfox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I remember Taylor saying something like 'his perfomances will be frightening' once he has signed. Fixed

He is being criticised for his many failings this season and some people think that he's doing alright. He isn't, he's fvcked up and unless he pulls something out of the bag we are getting relegated. We've not been up against it like Burnley, we've had all the resources to stay up, including a very strong squad to work with. We have failed to strengthen that squad in crucial areas and have underperformed due to poor tactics. If we go down Pearson will have failed big time, and regardless of whether he stays or not that will be how this season is remembered. Also in 18 months I will stand here if we go down and if we keep Nige and don't go up and say. I was wrong! If we don't go down will you ? If we do and come back Will you?
65RosesFox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 The last 2 league performances have been woeful A team at the bottom of the league fighting for survival put in a poor performance at Old Trafford. Shock! If someone who knew nothing about football read this forum they would think we were bottom of the league and at least ten points from safety. We are three points, that's one win from getting out of the relegation zone. Christ alive talk about pessimistic. Yes we have some tough fixutres coming up this month, but people say it like none of the teams around us have to play the, before the end of the season! What would you prefer, to play them now, get them out the way, or have the run in that Norwich had at the end of last season relying on beating teams in the top six to survive!
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I honestly don't no what some fans expected out of this season, it was always going to like this, I honestly don't get why you want to change the manager now, what would be the point? I didn't expect us to be bottom of a pretty ordinary Premier league, with some awful teams above us, why was it always going to be like this?
6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 To be honest I'm just focusing on the fact James and Mahrez will be back again, we'll have Huth a week later. Get the best out of kramraric and we should have enough to scrape survival given its between us, QPR, Burnley and Hull, possibly Villa. Could we have done better these 2 transfer windows?, undoubtedly, we have put our hard won status at more risk than we probably should have done, but Christ how many Monday morning quarterbacks are dominating this board now? We are where we are, like it or not Pearson will be here till the end of the season, which is when we can all play the blame game if we do go down. In the meantime lets support the players we have got and see what happens.
CosbehFox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 There's the green light for pro Pearson posters to tell us how shit Darren Fletcher is. Pearson or no Pearson, £70k a week. We could have Sven as manager and don't think the club would take a risk on a player whose had just an appalling (not a criticism of him as very unfortunate) injury record

Where is that win coming from? It's all well and good saying we have a nice run after the next 5 but that's what we were all saying back in September. Teams around us will pick up points during our next 5 and we may well not. It's not pessimism its realism. We played badly against United but it was Stoke that was worrying, there is no creativity in midfield whatsoever.

Spanner73 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Let's be about right here the man had all summer he told us all who his targets were he had more time than snyone else to assemble the squad he failed , he underestimated the league and stuck with his current squad through thick and thin knowing we needed more then had the excuse to say the jan window was difficult to operate in , well yes Nigel that's why you should have done your business in the summer !!!! He's failed again now and for that he should be relieved of his duties if he stays and he brings us back up we'll be hearing the same thing over , I'm sorry he has to go !!
sylofox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Fair enough but the Mandaric era isnt really a good comparison. He bought us when we were already in freefall, it wasnt the case of just having come down. The rot was well and truly set in and I doubt anything could have stopped the subsequent relegation. Really I blame Mandric for our lowest point ever how many managers in one season. You really think sacking a manager every monday morning helped. We stuffed Watford 4-1 they were top and sacked our manager after what five games? Don't ever paint mandaric as our saviour the only thing he did for us was sold us to our current owners. And he made a packet from that MM was no city fan just a money man that made money. Just as he has at Sheff weds. Yes I thank him for selling us thats it.
tickler28 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 He's bought a premiership quality CB and a premiership quality attacker. Let's not quite condemned ourselves to relegation yet. The damage was done during the slump, crap tactics and odd team selections. The team may yet scrape survival. How do we know Kramaric is Premiership quality?
Danizen Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 How ****ing depressing is this thread! We will stay up! I can't believe people are resigned to relegation already! Absolute madness considering the quality of the teams around us.

Fans were saying the same prior to christmas and then we took 7 points from 9 after the Spurs game which we also should've got something from. Or are our fans forgetting that.....

tickler28 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Nobody answered my question earlier so I ask again. How do we know that Kramaric is Premier League standard? Not saying he isn't or won't be but its a massive gamble to bring in someone who has never played in this country and expect him to fly....he may take a long time to settle and indeed may not settle at all...I hope I'm wrong but I'm just being realistic
sylofox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 This is so true... Last time we plunged out of the PL there was a general feeling that, as in 2002-03, we'd rip the 'little league' apart and bounce straight back....After all 'we're Leicester'!!! We signed some supposedly decent players: (Dublin,Wilcox,Keown, Connolly, Williams) and promptly got caught in a downward spiral that took TEN years to correct.. Too many hereabouts seem 'blase' about our going down again ""chance to rebuild", "be stronger in 2016" etc,etc......Get bloody real. If you're here you fight tooth and bloody nail to stay up.. You pay whatever it takes to procure the neccesary to do so and you RUN THE RISK that it might go wrong. Get things right and you become a Stoke/WBA/Newcastle....never gonna win the league but established and relatively secure. F**k it up and you'll be another Pompey/Leeds/Bradford City......Not an ideal scenario true, but the lower leagues are populated by a plethora of teams who reached the PL, didn't invest sufficiently and disappeared back into the depths... Ok how do I put this? Yes I want Nige to stay for stability and feel he will do that. I do not want a new manager for most of what you are saying. I for one am to old to think we will do it cos we are Leicester City. But I do think stability is a better way forward than ten managers plus. That was the last model and we ended up at our lowest point ever. I do think Nige would get us back up next year if we go down.
