Pearson sticking with the tried and tested (resulting in failure everytime of course) method of bringing Albrighton on and then Ulloa off. Seriously nige, that has never worked. It doesn't make any sense. Why does he keep doing it? It's baffling. Otherwise the midfield and defence is OK selection wise as it's probably the best we've got, although our full backs are the weakest in the league, Schwarzer is on one game one mistake leading to a goal, and Schlupp was back to his dog shit worst against Utd. This is in all likelihood a season defining game and Pearson has rolled the dice with another attempt to be clever. If he fails, again, then I'd expect to see his support suffer a major hit.

He's named statistically our best XI bar the inclusion of Schwarzer in goal which itself is arguably a conservative decision (backing the experienced keeper over the recently successful one). I had the same team in the pre-match thread with the exception of Hamer in goal and Albrighton starting over Mahrez, though if Mahrez is clearly 100% fit then I would have started him.

You can't have Nugent, Ulloa, and Kramarić up top so somebody's moaning either way, hopefully Kramarić comes on whilst Nugent's still on the pitch so we can see how he performs with him

fazzyfox Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Was waiting / salivating to see Kramaric fed by Mahrez and Cambiasso, I'm sure he'll get 3 or 4 good chances a game just from those two. If he doesn't come on and play a part in a home game against a beatable side then I'm a monkeys uncle. Must go, got to buy some bananas for my nephew.
