LCFC v palace match thread

Another bizzare starting lineup. I don't understand why Hamer isn't starting, I don't understand why Albrighton is consistently being overlooked and I really don't understand why our record signing is warming the bench. We better win this, I'm getting fed up with these stupid decisions.

Albrighton has changed the game a couple of times now, he's come on and made an instant impact, cant help but feel a bit disappointed for the lad. Clearly has the ability to hurt teams.

Whatever the outcome of today's game, I simply don't get why you would go out and break the club's record transfer fee on a striker...and then not play him in the biggest game in the clubs recent history. I guess someone will come up with some obscure answer, but that, simply is bizarre. What is he being 'saved' for..you don't get a more important game than this?

So you pick the team on price tag rather than recent form? Not exactly an obscure answer for someone to suggest Nugent is actually in on merit considering both of their performances. Or than it can/will take time for him to settle in.

I just realised Hamer was dropped. I read on here someone said Pearson doesn't rate Hamer, they must have been right. Or maybe it is because his kicking is shite.

I thought we've been significantly better with Hamer in goal.

I love it when the first page of a match thread is people moaning about a selection or thos player being shit ect. Normally comes back to bite them .

Konchesky moves to CB and De laet LB

Konchesky moves to CB, Schlupp moves to LB, and...

...wait for it...

...Vardy on the wing.

I actually don't mind this lineup. It's hard to be patient when you're last place but we have to work Kramaric in slowly. I just can't see Schlupp and Mahrez not starting, but if it's not working or if Mahrez can't go 90, we will see Albrighton.

Puts in a better ball than either of them.

Schlupp should be left back, Mahrez & Albrighton wide.

Konchesky can erm....go to Fosse Park for a couple hours.

Fair point but how is Kramaric supposed to get some form, can he and Ulloa not play together?

Record signing on the bench, Nugent on the pitch.

That's why we're going down, that's why we're going down.

Appreciate the happy clappers will have a field day with my cynicism but that's ****ing retarded. We spend ten million on a guy to sit behind Ulloa, seemingly appreciating that it's our best system but Nugent is terrible with the ball, then bench him.

I accept we've been better playing with Nugent in the hole but largely tactically, his best work has been without the ball, he's offered **** all with it. If Kramaric isn't going to work, run, close down and do those things then what did we sign him for?

Every time Mahrez has come back from playing for Algeria he's been turd.

He's been back here longer than usual though. Last few times he's returned to England on a Thursday, but I think it was a Monday/Tuesday this time.

This forum makes me want to greviously injure kittens, the team people have been pretty much asking for (Albrighton withstanding) and they moan... For the record I'd have Schlupp over Konch and Albrighton on the wing, but that's a minor change since there's little between jeff and Marc this season

You can't just keep playing people and hoping they hit form. He'll get his chances and needs to impress when he does.

Too many people picking players on what they think he can do, not what they know he can do. Baffled people can slate the non selection of a player they've hardly ever seen.

He scored one good goal, we've seen Gallagher do that plenty. His overall contribution in possession has been dreadful all season.

Why do you go out and spend a fortune on a single player, when you are bottom of the table, against your relegation rivals, at home and then not play him. He's not even injured? If the reason is to give him time, we have none..it's shit or bust time.

Given that scenario, Pearson needed to get his first choice striker, who can come in and make an immediate impact.

It's bizarre management this, it really is.

What better game is there to let your new star striker get out there and show us all what he can do. We better win today (I think we will) because if we lose, Pearson is going to be slaughtered.

Ulloa and Kramaric has done nothing in the last few games, Ulloa and Nugent looked fairly handy in the few games before it.

Kramaric shouldn't walk into the team based on his price tag. He has to earn his spot and he hasn't done that yet. These aren't the games where we can test things, we need tried and trusted.

What are peoples score predictions after seeing the line up?

That depends on our approach. If we hurl everything we have at Palace they will pull us apart on the break and we could lose by a couple of goals. If, however, we take a disciplined approach at let Mahrez do his stuff we could pinch it 1-0. I can't see a goalfest but I've been wrong before.

Keep playing? How many games has he had. I'm not slating Pearson, just have a different opinion, and regardless of the price tag (irrelevant) we bought a striker because we weren't scoring enough goals with what we have, so I thought he would mix it up with the new guy for more than 2 games

Perhaps Nugent get a hat trick today, hope so
