HighPeakFox Posted 19 May 2015 Posted 19 May 2015 Don't know why (Not privy to any insider knowledge) but I have a sneaky feeling that he could end up at Utd or even relinquish his relationship with Mourinho. If he went to Utd and managed to play a similar number of game's to this season whether they be league, cup, or CL, then I think he'd massively improve their team with his vision and range of passing. Alternatively I'm sure Mourinho would be happy to have him around the squad, and given their past experiences of working together along with Chelsea's geographical location (And the draw of living the high life in West London - remember by his own admission he only drinks champagne) I think if they came calling he might find it difficult to turn them down, especially if Chelsea's objective next season is to win the CL. Suggest you go and find out what the word 'relinquish' means, sir

merlin1969 Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Leicester's 34-year-old defensive midfielder Esteban Cambiasso is considering extending his stay with the club after being named their player of the year. cc_star Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 The actual quotes in the Mirror article say nothing of the sort, other than the English game is even better than he thought. Anyone know what's exactly said in the Times article... And not conjecture

Anyone know what's exactly said in the Times article... And not conjecture He is quoted as saying "Of course I would like to stay here. This is the biggest club I have had the honour of playing for. The fans are the best in the world and Pearson is twice the manager Mourinho is. It's not everyday you get the opportunity to play with talented players like Jeff Schlupp and Dean Hammond" Pretty damn conclusive I'd say!
tomtom Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 He was asked by Manish at the player of the year awards about signing for next season and he wouldn't commit outright,... He said he never looks too far ahead and will think about his future after the game on Sunday

dayday Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 The Mirror is just copying quotes from the Mercury. Nigel Pearson has admitted there has been prilimary talks though Esteban has already said that he will go away with his family and then decide, either way we won't know for a few weeks at least
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Everyone chant the Cambiasso chant for the full 90 minutes on Sunday. If there's even a 1% chance it'll make him want to stay it's worth it
cjslcfc Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Sorry to disappoint everyone but the Times article says nothing new and the quotes from Cambiasso are the same as in the Daily Mail article the other day: Esteban Cambiasso has left the door open to extending his stay at Leicester City after he admitted that the English game is “even better than I thought”. The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan midfielder signed only a one-year deal with Nigel Pearson’s team last summer and now plans to assess his future after playing an integral role in their remarkable escape from relegation. He was this week named as their player of the year. “I’ve enjoyed this season. In England there is an incredible atmosphere at all the stadiums, it’s even better than I thought before coming here,” the 34-year-old from Argentina said. “I have changed country after ten years, and for me it was a complete change. I was used to fighting for league titles and cups so this was a different experience. This is a moment now to relax and after our last game at home I will go on holiday. “I want to put in a great performance for the supporters and I want them to enjoy this game. The fact we have survived [relegation] with a game to go is good for them. Then, after my holidays, I will think about what is next.” With six wins in seven matches before Saturday’s 0-0 draw away to Sunderland, Pearson guided Leicester away from danger. They head into their final match of the season at home to Queens Park Rangers on Sunday four points clear of the relegation zone in 14th place.
