Cambiasso = class

I've just had a chat with someone today who knows a fair bit about what goes on behind the scenes at the club, he claims that roughly ten weeks or so back Esteban turned up to the training ground with a plan for survival basically, and had a bit meeting with Nigel, the players and the staff to put this magnificent run together. How true this is I don't know, but it's not the first I've heard of it.

Heard that numerous times as well that Cambiasso has been pulling the strings for the last 2 months.

I can't see Nigel letting anyone else pull the strings, if I'm honest.

I reckon Cambiasso will be off, which would be such a shame. Need him here next season. Still, if he does go, it's a good way to go out.

I keep saying it, he is as good if not better than lampard and gerrard... could easily make the difference in a top six team... to keep him would be unreal but to lose him we would need to splash 25-30 mill on a player

I miss him already. I'm decided that he won't be here next season, though I was hopeful before his and the side's response when he was subbed off today, but that ultimately drive the stake through my heart. Haha there can't be any hard feelings if he moves on, but I'm sure we'll all be understandably devastated! I don't think Foxes_rule is wrong in his estimation of the price it would cost to replace him. Then again, I hear that Pirlo is on his way. Just saying.

Hopefully.

I think he's gone.

I might be reading too much into it, but the way he was hugging and kissing the other players, the way he clapped all 4 sides of the ground (He may have just be thanking you for our support this season) but the pessimist in me worries that he's played his last game for us.

It's in the paper... He basically just plotted the points we could get. Let's not make out he was doing Pearsons job ffs.

I think people are reading too much into it. He's always been quick to acknowledge fans' appreciation and there was a lot of it today. Who wouldn't have clapped the fans when the entire stadium was belting their name out?

"Discussions ongoing" is what was said, I'm not going to pretend I know any more than that.

Alright calm down, and take your tampon out. Jesus.

My thoughts are he definitely will leave :(

Maybe his thinking is, he came to England he did his job & he doesn't wanna risk anything next year & go out on a high?

He is going to be so hard to replace, you don't get Cambiasso's just like that. We were lucky to have had such a graceful, amazing player

He clapped all 4 sides at Sunderland did he need to say good bye to them as well

If he didn't have a family, then he would've stayed imo.

That sounds like a threat!?

I didn't think his waving and acknowledgement of the applause / ovation was particularly a sign of him leaving - I just think he really appreciates the support we've shown this season.

The other players have probably got plenty of photos with him as well, probably just grabbing some other snaps during the celebrations.

I'm going to remain optimistic and say I think he'll still be here next season. It wouldn't surprise me if we offered him a superior package to stick around - he's clearly a vital member of our team.

He is so professional and has such grace and sportsmanship that it actually hurts to think of our side without him next season. I feel deeply saddened at the prospect but you couldn't begrudge him one bit, he has been incredible and it's been an honour to see him play in a city shirt.

I was very hungover and weirdly emotional all game and when cambiasso scored I nearly, very nearly did a tear or two. I absolutely love him.

Haha, I hate being at matches like that when 'hungover'. Been to a fair few games after raves in the past and nearly done a little cry at things.
