SecretPro Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Best player I have ever personally seen in a City shirt, easily. In fact, thats not even true. He isn't a player, he is a god.
Kitchandro Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Would be disappointed if he left but I'd really hope if he did go it would be back to Italy or his homeland? Surely he won't go to another prem club? I couldn't handle that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
davieG Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson is hopeful that Esteban Cambiasso will decide to stay at the club following their 5-1 win over QPR. Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson claims talks with Esteban Cambiasso are ongoing, admitting he would like Argentinian playmaker the stay at the King Power Stadium. The former Inter midfielder found himself on the scoresheet with a classy second-half finish in the 5-1 win over QPR on Sunday, after Jamie Vardy and Marc Albrighton had given the hosts a two-goal lead. Leonardo Ulloa and Andrej Kramaric both found the net either side of Charlie Austin's consolation as the hosts rounded off their successful survival bid in style. It amounted to a party atmosphere among the home faithful, with survival already assured, but Pearson insists his team are now looking at next season and believes the experience of Cambiasso could prove central to Leicester's attempts to establish themselves in the Premier League. However, the former Hull City boss insists he will not force the issue with the player, who is out of contract in the close-season, hinting any stay at the club would be down to him. He said: "We'd love him to be a part of our season again next year, but as always with players like him that have experienced some pretty amazing periods and have a great CV, it is difficult to know psychologically how much a season like this takes it out of someone who's never experienced it before. "We don't want to be in this situation again next year. It would be great for him to be a part of it and he's proven throughout the season that he brings an awful to a Premier League side, even at his age [34]. "The reception he got [from the home fans] was fabulous and he'll be aware of that but also he'll need time to think and we'll allow him that." Sunday's result was Leicester's seventh win in nine games and Pearson is adamant the win reflected the hard work put in by his side to end the season on a high. He added: "I think it was hard to call how [it] was going to look as a game. I think that it was important to finish on a good note too." foxes_rule1978 Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 You really can tell a world class player when you see one, he ozzes class ... Has Leicester fans we can safely say we have a world class player
Itsthejoeker Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 It's promising that he's in talks, I'd imagine he wouldn't waste our time if he was definitely off.
ARM1968 Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 I said at the start of the season that he was a class above. He has proven it all season long despite some odd posts slating him. If he goes then good luck to him and many thanks. If he stays and proves pivotal in stabilising us as a Premier league side, then we will all be very lucky indeed. Best player I've ever seen at Leicester bar none.
Izzy Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 If he goes, he goes. And good luck to him. We've been very fortunate to get a season out of him. Concerns me a bit that some of the euphoria on here suggest we're a one man team - and we're not. No one is irreplaceable and I trust NP will find a way to replace him. Onwards and upwards. No one is bigger than the team.
HEGGSY Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 I tried to get him to sign my flag today but the security led him straight in to the ground pre match. I'll be absolutely gutted if he goes.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 One of the greatest to ever put on a Leicester shirt.
Raj Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 All his gestures seemed to stipulate that he won't be back. We will miss him,the beautiful man.
lcfc81 Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 I think bringing him off after 75 mins (?) was definately a NP tatic to get him to encourage him to sign, He certainly knows he's adored here.
ADK Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 I think if we are to challenge for top half/ Europa league next season we will need him to stay. He's got that "x factor" that will unlock stubborn defences and make crucial contributions at the right time.

No one is bigger than the team. I don't think anyone on here praising Cambiasso thinks we are a one man team.We have had many great performers this year, personally I feel Ulloa, Vardy, James have all had great seasons and Huth has been possibly the signing that has turned our season (possibly there have been other factors). However, what I think people have seen in Cambiasso is that extra bit of class that you don't often see. My brother today summed it up at the end of the game, he shouted, "Cambiasso please stay, you can come and live with me, I'll kick the wife out". People are ready to leave their wife to keep him here!!
Robin JD Popley Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 I know I made no secret how much I wanted Esteban to sign for us in the close/early season but today I was even more happy than I was when he signed witnessing one of the nicest gestures I've seen in sport for a long time. Where I sit in A2 there was a man who had a Cambiasso shirt on and he waited purposefully for him to come round our way during the lap of honour. This same said man asked him (Cuchu) to sign his shirt very politely and without any fuss, he went over to this man, signed his shirt and gave him a hug. What a lovely gesture. He is truly one of the greatest players we will ever see grace our stadium in the Royal Blue and I, like we all do, hope he stays next season - not only for his ability on the pitch but his true class off it too. Love him!
HEGGSY Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Absolutely nothing to do with him being a one man team, the whole squad puts a shift in, which is why we are where we are. It's simply because he has that touch of class about him, not just technically, in which he's phenomenal, but the way he conducts himself on the pitch, his attitude and his leadership. We will miss all of that. Plus, he's magic.
fleckneymike Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 That goal was simultaneous great and heart breaking. What a class act.
HEGGSY Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 I've never seen the ground so desperate for one player to score, it was like he scored a last minute winner. Amazing.
TheSomersetFox Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Still hard to believe that he came and played for us.
BoyJones Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Hard to believe that only two months ago posters on here were having a go at him!!
Lestoh Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Memories from pre-season where we were getting so fed up with how long the Cambiasso saga was dragging on that we were questioning his commitment and wanted McArthur instead!
