Haydos Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 He's very settled here and has made a very good friend in the form of Leo. Signs are promising from what I have been told in terms of him staying in the country. Why are you acting coy? Who do you know and why should anyone believe what you've been told?
reality-bites Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 His interview in the LM does not suggest that staying for another year is a done deal
ScouseFox Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 I can see him going, I'd imagine his family would prefer a move somewhere a wee bit more glam. As I said a while back, a friend of a friend etc etc (I'm aware this sounds a lot like me bullshitting some #itk) lives next door to him and she told me that Esteban said this season is the happiest and most enjoyable he's had off the field. In terms of family life and all that. So maybe not. But still maybe. But I ****ing hope not
MPH Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 How much are they? I'll let you know when i next go in there...
fleckneymike Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 That Mercury report unfortunately seems to support my belief that this could be a one season deal. He came to experience the league, he's done that. He ranks survival as a great experience, he seems to crave something tangible, something to show for all the endeavour. As a player used to (as he states) challenging for cups and titles, next season here is unlikely to offer anything different (or as dramatic) to this. This season wont be topped for excitement for quite some time, as the most decorate player in Argentinian history he has nothing left to prove, he's done the Spanish league, done the Italian and now done the English. I can seem him either returning to Argentina or winding down in the US for one last adventure. I dearly hope he stays, but am not confident.
lgfualol Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 I've heard he's going to Watford so he can live in London
Babylon Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 I've heard he's going to Watford so he can live in LondonI've heard he wants to experience Deeney Day.
Number 6 Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Need to start a 'things we'd do to keep Esteban' thread (a clean one). Weekly car washes on me Esteban.
BoyJones Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Check out his the BBC report on him 2nd April just before the WHam game. Obviously he would say that City could survive despite being 7 points adrift, but I really think he did believe it possible. He is such a sincere bloke. Look at him applauding the Sunderland fans on saturday. Real class act. Also looks like he is enjoying life here and I know his daughter is well settled in her junior school. Here's hoping for one more year.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Why are you acting coy? Who do you know and why should anyone believe what you've been told? I don't expect anyone to believe what I've said, its the internet after all
Haydos Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 I don't expect anyone to believe what I've said, its the internet after all Yeah, but this is not like it's actual news or something that needs to be kept secret, just comes across as attention seeking. You know without a source you're just some random bloke so what's the point? Honestly, I heard Cambiasso and Ulloa had a falling out after the match and he's reconsidering his position.
shailen Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Not sure if anyone has posted this but the Telegraph rates him as the best value signing this season ahead of Alexis Sanchez http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/babb/11612409/The-20-best-value-Premier-League-signings-of-the-season.html?frame=3308138

HighPeakFox Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 I just think he's wise, and is giving no hints either way.
Izzy Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Heard he is not signing for Watford. Heard he's not signing for Luton Town or Wycome Wanderers either
ScouseFox Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Heard he's signing for Watford.... Heard he is not signing for Watford. oh man one of you two has got well bad hearing
lgfualol Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 So when he is technically not our player in a few weeks, can we have another 60 page transfer speculation thread about him? Those were good times.
LCFCtotheprem Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Is it possible to still get a shirt whith cambiasso on the back, cause at one stage they had run out of the Letter "A", if not will get him on next seasons shirt?
Number 6 Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Was happy to stay at Inter for a long time. Perhaps not the kind of guy to jump from club to club. He'll definitely have other offers, really really hope he stays.
