Wymsey Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 Would love him to become a coach, but we've got quite a few already I think.
st albans fox Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 Just relaying what i have been told.... of course it was not from Pearson. Talking of Pearson the whole ostrich gate was a sting by the media to entice him to bite on an unknown 'incident' that allegedly happened. Really? The original question wasn't deserving of the rant so that doesn't make a lot of sense. Had it been so, I could give it some thought. As it wasn't, I won't!

As it wasn't, I won't!I think he's implying the criticism Pearson was on about was a big incident that wasn't made public and the question was trying to get him to talk about it....still bollocks though

No it wasn't at all, I know a little more than most about that incident and your totally wrong or deliberately trying to mislead people on it
Salieri Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 I do get the impression that his 'work is done here' and he can move on with his head held high and yet another successful chapter of his career bookmarked, and I can't blame him for that if that was the case. I would expect us next season to be pushing for 'mid table mediocrity', just doesn't have the same vibe as the 'great escape'. I think at this stage of his career he is more motivated by a challenge than a paycheck which is why my gut feeling is he will move on. Hope i'm wrong.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Mad Dog :D About as bad as that plonker who came on and said 'Vardy not inlcuded, you heard it here first lads' 20 minutes before the squad was announced and Vardy was included. On the balance of probability Cambiasso won't sign and Simpson will get the boot. Paul Gallagher isn't signing a new contract with the club, heard it here first lads #itk.
ian_marshall Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Suggest you go and find out what the word 'relinquish' means, sir Good spot, blasted autocorrect on phone. Need to change this keyboard ASAP it's driving me insane.

Tbf I wasn't actually trying to say I was itk I just thought it was obvious he wouldn't be, but happy to look a mug on that one.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Club are not that confident he'll stay. Chances are slim. America or Japan are strong possibilities. Opinion of a senior member of staff involved in negotiations, not mine.

Opinion of a senior member of staff involved in negotiations, not mine. that would be guess too although i have no 'inside knowledge'. he looks like someone who wants to throw himself wholeheartedly into different experiences before his legs are gone. whilst it would be a shame for him to go, we do need to take responsibility to build a PL midfield capable of living at that level. with MJ injured, it becomes a big issue and we need a quick answer from EC so we can plan effectively. we had weeks longer last year and quite honestly, didnt do a very good job! of course, if we give them a good send off today (and dont invade the pitch!) then perhaps we can make him feel wanted enough to reconsider ??
fleckneymike Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Today will bring many a tear to many an old chaps eye (pun intended)
tomtom Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 of course, if we give them a good send off today (and dont invade the pitch!) then perhaps we can make him feel wanted enough to reconsider ?? I've heard he'll only consider staying if the fans show him how much they want him by invading the pitch
fleckneymike Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 I've heard he'll only consider staying if the fans show him how much they want him by invading the pitch I've heard he wants Col to publicly denounced Lee Catermole as a false prophet
shailen Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 As much as I want him to stay, I reckon if he gets a good offer from a bigger club he will take it. Part of the cynic in me, believes he was only here to prove Inter Milan that he still had it and yes he still does. So maybe his second season won't be as impressive? But now he's proven that, he will probably move on to a higher mid table side in another division. I hope I'm wrong and he stays, because for me he's the best player I've seen here easily in the last 20 years or so. Whatever happens though, you'll never again see a superstar like Cambiasso, come here with the desire and ambition to genuinely do well unless we become a top four club.

'Tis better to have loved and lost: Than never to have loved at all.
HighPeakFox Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 I am working on the assumption that Cambiasso will leave, simply because hoping otherwise is a) futile and b) would make me even sadder when/if he goes elsewhere. If he retired after leaving LCFC, it would be the very best next option for me.
sdb Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 'Tis better to have loved and lost: Than never to have loved at all. Yep, and he'll never realistically top this season anyway. BEtter to leave a true legend than hang about. Massive boots to fill. We're gonna need 3 new CM's by the looks of things.
Finnaldo Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 If he's looking for a step-up, hopefully Pearson can convince him he could do it with Leicester for a respectable mid-table finish and perhaps winning the most famous club competition in the World...?
BoyJones Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 If he gets subbed after about 70 mins, to get a deserved standing ovation, could be a sign he's going?
Callabinho Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 I've just had a chat with someone today who knows a fair bit about what goes on behind the scenes at the club, he claims that roughly ten weeks or so back Esteban turned up to the training ground with a plan for survival basically, and had a bit meeting with Nigel, the players and the staff to put this magnificent run together. How true this is I don't know, but it's not the first I've heard of it.
Finnegan Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 I don't like the way he's hugging everyone. It's like he's saying goodbye.
EGBFitness Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Is it me or did his celebration look a little like a farewell? Hopefully reading too much into it
