Just caught an Octillery and a Houndor on watermead.

My beautiful 95%IV beast of a Lapras with ice shard / ice beam is now a kitten. 350CP wiped off it.

I must have walked from here to Seville to power this up and I don't have a hatched Chansey to replace it. Blissey is the MON queen now.

Just realised I accidentally evolved a rubbish Larvitar for the XP as I didn't realise what it was.

Anybody got a decent Blissey? The least number of hatched mons for me is Chansey and now they are the best to have!

Anyone else think the Gen 2 pokemon are largely crap?

 

Only good thing about them is that the common ones - Swinub, Hoothoot, Sentret etc, aren't as annnoying as a Rattata or Pidgey to look at

I got a Kings Rock and hatched a Slowking.

 

Got a half decent Blissey but people seem to have no problems taking it down in gyms.

 

Also hatched my Gyarados at last, it has Bite and Crunch, so gutted!

This has picked up recently with the Magikarp everywhere finally getting me the Gyrados I never thought would come. Leaves me with just Muk and Dragonite left of the Gen 1 (excluding regional and legendary).

 

Dropping a special item with every 7 day streak at pokestops is both good and annoying as well. Means I have to turn it on every bloody day.

I have a load of 100% IV mons with terrible movesets and was thinking of clearing them out but if anyone knows the game are there any I should keep that could possibly evolve into better should a Gen3 be made. Like Pinsir, Kabutops, Magneton, Tanglea ?

Magneton and Tanglea get evolutions in gen 4, but I'd not bother holding them for that long.

Literaly just now. Evolved it too. Apparently the odds are about 4000/1

Does the map sprite look different, or is it only a shiny once you catch it?

It looks normal on map, but it's shiny during the encounter and loads of little stars appear at the beginning of the encounter, so it's worth tapping on every one you see

Red Gyarados looks so good. Think each shiney encounter is unique to each player so you can't even check if it's spawning anywhere nearby to get it

Next evolve spree will see me complete gen 1 minus Kangaskhan and Tauros.

Didn't realise there was a pokemon go thread on here. I'm pretty close to completing gen 1, still after diglets and omanytes, and onyx so i can evolve into steelix.

You still haven't got tauros ?. I barely played the game, stopped playing after a couple of weeks and I got Tauros when I was in New York.

I need a Muk to complete Gen 1 in Europe.... I hadn't seen a Lapras at all and then caught 2 in London over the weekend! 

I also caught an Unknown M! 

210 Caught, 221 seen now!
