I've voted for Option 7. I'd be interested to see how Pearson does in the summer transfer market, the squad at Championship level doesn't need much reinforcing yet I wonder how much he'll persuade the players to stay.

It's Pearson's job to make sure we get off to a flying start next season otherwise he'll be feeling the heat straight away.

I have voted Yes. Now. We are not down yet.

We are down already but think he needs to go now.

I've had enough, it's took my a long time to come to this decision as I love(d) Nige and thank him for the majority he has done for us but the last few weeks I've become mightly pissed off with him and his decisions.

I always said even before the season he shouldn't be sacked even if we go down, unless he does something stupid, he's doing a lot of stupid stuff and whilst I accept mistakes he is making mistake after mistake after mistake and not learning from them. I've lost alot of respect for him over the last few weeks.

I have also been saying that he shouldn't be sacked as there isn't really anyone out there to replace him but I'll take that chance now it has got that bad.

Another thing I have also been saying is that we should keep him for next season as he is the best man for us in the Championship but I'm questioning that now.

It's sad because I really do/did (undecided at this present time! lol) like Nige but he insistence in team selection, tactics, etc has shown him in a different light, well let's cut a long story short - he's lost the plot.

What's the point of this post?

I don't want him out, but for the good of the club i think it's time for him to go. We need rid of the negativity that his presence now brings for whatever reason.

i think playing in the PL is a bit more complex than walshie and taggart could cope with.

thats the main reason that our manager is struggling. other sides are setting up to nulify our strengths and he cannot find the answers.

To see if the hyperbole and prestidigitation used by most posters when making a point regarding our management is as enjoyable as it seems.

Come on you know that's not true Col.

P.S. It didn't either.

Get rid.

Get Schuster, Spalletti or Rijkaard in for a month.

Stay up then appoint Garde or Clement, go down then appoint Rowett or Hasselbaink.

Only one game admittedly bit I went to Burton v Newport a couple of weeks back and the home teams football was as bad as anything I've seen.

I think its time for him to move on personally.

Id like some new ideas and new impetus at the club.

We assume all the players are content and happy in their careers and happy with the leadership within the camp. Are they though? how would we know? We know at least one player has some issues with the club from his tweet, and we barely hear from the players. They dont talk to local radio, they might do a little bit on Sky here and there and thats it. Maybe they arent as happy as we believe.

The performance on saturday, as well as others suggests that to me. Strikers who dont bust a gut to put their head on a cross in a must win game, the general energy levels displayed at times, having the confidence to take the game by the scruff of the neck, to come out and play some football before theyre 2-0 down and trying to avoid a pasting.

Unless there is a turnaround of monumental proportions over probably 3 seasons, and i believe it to be 3 seasons because people will EXPECT promotion next season and everything else is an abject failure, whether we are in a position or not to do this, people will hold this ambition. But then not only that, he would have to keep us up after to show everyone he has learnt afterall or this whole merigoround will kick off again.

If he carries on, and after 5 games next season we have say, 6 points, i have genuine fears this place will go into an apocalyptic meltdown. At least a new manager is going to have some TIME. If we dont hit the ground running from day one next season, i dread to think what kind of spiral might happen.

A new manager however, if its the right choice, will unite everyone. I think its pretty clear by now without a huge turnaround, our fanbase is going to be split, and having to achieve promotion whilst also wining people over again is not going to be easy.

Plus, this relegation season is piling huge baggage onto the squad. I just simply dont think its as easy as waving a magic wand and bringing back in all the players like Albrighton, Drinkwater, Moore, Vardy, De Laet or anyone who has spent a significant amount of time out of the side and tell them they are going to be central to the push next season. The fact theyve been left out shows the manager has a gripe with them, or doesnt think theyre any good. Not a great vote of confidence.

And i dont believe with the signings made this season there has been any attempt at continuity, which has left a large rebuilding job to do within the squad.

A new manager can wipe the slate clean. Everyone with a chance to prove themselves. Rebuild a harmony within the group for next season.

Pearson's backroom team always have had a reputation for bringing little known starts into the side on a shoestring, but i dont think thats something that is exclusive to him. Slavisa Jokanovic managed to pick up Ighalo, Aitor Karanka with Kike, and Mark Warburton picking up Odubajo to name but three. So i dont believe "the backroom team" is a compelling enough reason for him to stay.

And finally, i have had many arguments on here about the conduct of the manager, but i do believe in my opinion he is letting himself down, and the club down, in the way he presents himself and the club to the media. Im well aware that he may be a terrific person away from the media, but no one is interested in this. They are only interested in the visible side of him which to the outside world is that of a prickly, obnoxious bully. I dont enjoy having this kind of culture around the club, irrespective of success.

From this perspective, I would like to see a young, progressive manager who can come in and address this side of the club, as it certainly wouldnt hurt the club next season to be more media friendly.

And lastly, if anyone uses my signature as a cheap shot like last night with mr AKCJ (minus his expletives fuelled post that followed and the mods deleted), opinions can change over time, and i havent changed my signature in quite a while. You can probably tell from the top Mourinho is wearing.

He HAS to go at the end of the season. Our club is now stagnating under his illogical ideas of management, and his influence on the players is zero.

I want the best for the team I have loved for so many years, and that will never happen under Pearson. We need new blood and fresh ideas, which is what has cost us so much this season.

To just stand by, and keep things as they are, is the way backwards, not forwards.

Anyone who backs him now, obviously doesn't care about the club, and would be happy to see us in the lower levels of the game. Some people want to wake up and open their eyes as to what is happening.

heres me coming home from work hoping there would have been some development only to find 52 people still want to give him another season.. #baffled

I'm neutral to be fair, although I totally like and respect Pearson, but I think our best chance of staying up is with a manager in charge. It's far too late to change now to influence this season.

I don't think it is too late, especially with new manager syndrome often kicking in from game 1. If Pearson got the sack and someone came in now I could almost guarantee Ulloa and Kramaric up front, in a defined Kram playing off Ulloa role and goals being scored.

100% agree - and likely Hammond back in the fold.

Well, I've voted for out at the end of the season, but your comment is garbage. We had 10 years of chopping and changing which yielded precisely zip. Sticking with Pearson got us up, so I don't see this vote as a lack of ambition. My opinion is he'd be hard pushed to repeat it, but he might. People have obviously voted to keep him on the basis he's well placed to get us up, having done so before.

i talk garbage i should know better. well pearson should have gone in december when there was enough games left to turn this season around. for  the fans who think he is the best manager to get us back up straight away need to see this.in 28 years only 23.5 percent of teams have succeded ,within 2 years only 34 percent got promoted. the club have failed and had a great chance of staying in the premier league but it lookslike we have messed it up just like 10 years ago when we should have stayed up

Quite surprised so many have chosen the 'Give him next season' option.

I admire the loyalty, I really do. But surely the best chance of staying up this season is by switching it up and hoping for a momentum change?

Just to see some sensible tactics and team selections would be a bonus.
