Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 September 2007 Posted 2 September 2007 One game is plenty for me. We've had Levein who was obsessed with defence. His tactics failed. We've had Kelly who employed defensive overload. It failed. And now we have Beaglehole saying he was going to "pass" and employing the slowest, least supportive and worst passing back four he could muster - and no creative midfielder once again. Did Mandaric not explain what the hell he wanted or did he just order "experience" again. "Experience" is like a sodding millstone round our neck. No wonder we spend the last 15/20 minutes defending for our lives - and not for the first time. Our team needs speed, staying power and energy. We haven't got much so we sure as hell can't leave what we've got on the sidelines. MM has forty-two games left to fend off disaster. I and others have told him what needs doing for months now and instead we've trundled along the same tracks with the same outcome and have now made it one game without a win and with four goals conceded in four games. Could the message ever be clearer? But now new problems are arising. Eight weeks ago it would have been so easy to use people like Shirley Temple, McCauley Culkin, Little Jimmy Osmond even Louis Dodds, one or two at a time and any problems blending the new team together could have been worked through. Now, there's no margin left. They'll be lambs to the slaughter - convenient scapegoats if they make any sort of mistake - no matter how many mistakes the seniors have been forgiven. Indeed King and McKay would be best winning the title now with the Academy and staying well clear of the excuse for a team that poses as our Championship side cos even being associated with them right now can do no good for their reputations. That's unless MM is brave and ruthless enough to draw a line under the latest nonsense and get me to see our season out.
Guest lcfc80 Posted 2 September 2007 Posted 2 September 2007 it just fell sleep reading that, bet you think your leicesters number 1 fan because you've posted 12000 times and you'd do alot better job as manager
Benji Posted 2 September 2007 Posted 2 September 2007 Lcfc: I would suggest looking for something similar a few weeks ago fez..

Good job, sir. Good job. Although I reckon Thracian probably gets some perverse pleasure out of these spoofs... like tribute threads or something.

But just as an aside was there any difference in our approach at Plymouth to that employed by Levein and Kelly - in terms of commitment to winning the game? JTB suggested the game was all about "heart, determination, grit and fine defending." We reportedly showed those valiant characteristics. Certainly I accept that. But, on their own, those characteristics weren't good enough to win or even threaten a win. Is 0-0 away the limit of our ambition now? Fans and team alike?

Goes to Plymouth with the first team and grinds out a draw. Food for thought.

Although I reckon Thracian probably gets some perverse pleasure out of these spoofs... like tribute threads or something. I can hardly have a light-hearted dig or two of my own and grumble when someone else has their own four pennyworth. I'm not at all sure Fez would think of em as "tribute threads" but his and some others are well mannered enough mickey takes and I'd soon laugh with em as moan about em. As you say though, it's a quicksand for relative newcomers who don't appreciatiate the "previous".

Guest Posted 2 September 2007 Posted 2 September 2007 Obviously, lcfc80 wasn't, yet he "pipes up" about people not going away.Do the diner, y'know, Al's Diner in Californ-i-a. As long as it's not Tom's diner!
Flynny Posted 2 September 2007 Posted 2 September 2007 I don't know why you bother, Fez. You know perfectly well its like water off a waxed jacket.
Bryn Posted 2 September 2007 Posted 2 September 2007 Wonderful. You lose a point for not using the word "demonstrably". Fez total - 0
Daggers Posted 2 September 2007 Posted 2 September 2007 One game is plenty for me. So, it's a satire-off you're wanting is it?

Flynny Posted 2 September 2007 Posted 2 September 2007 So anyway, how come my Allen Out thread (whoops) gets moved to General Chat last week, and the comedy stylings of Fez and Daggers remain? Them being better than me is a poor excuse.

Will someone take this example of wild rantings off to User Help & Suggestions where it belongs? *Note to the slow-witted: This was not a serious post*
Tommy G Posted 2 September 2007 Posted 2 September 2007 At the end of the day, we will have a new manager come KO at QPR, im sure of it!
