Sk4 Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 Has anybody heard that Milan may be gone in the next 24 hours to Sheff Wed ,good luck to him if he goes
hackneyfox Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 Let's fooking hope so, can he take Hoos with him as well.
Uncle Monty Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 Just read the same on the beeb website. He helped us out when we needed it, let's hope he can do the same for the owls.
davieG Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 I thought we were going to be the first to know if he was seriously contemplating another club?
sdb Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 I don't mind MM, the clubs no worse now than when he took over, although it's not a whole lot better either! good luck to him, time to move on i think.
Collymore Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 What about the 2 year plan Milan? .... oh wait, that expired ages ago.
hackneyfox Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 We did get relegated to a level we had never been at before though. He's a bullshitter and the sooner he leaves the better. And Hoos, who is clearly crapping himself as he felt the need to praise both Milan (hopefully a future employer) and The Thais this morning. Hope he gets splinters.
Fox You Forest Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 If Milan says it'll be done in 24 hours then 24 days it is.
hackneyfox Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 To be fair to him, he did say he'd leave us in a better position than when he came in, so he has done that. Well I hope so, I'm hoping there was nothing sarcastic about your post bert.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 It's my opinion that MM saved our club. There was no one else that came in and did what he did at the time, & we needed him. We don't need to agree with everything he did, or all the methods he subscribed to but please, let's agree that as city fans we owe him a debt of gratitude. Let's just say thanks Milan, and good luck with your next project.
ajthefox Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 Glad to see him go, he has far from covered himself in priase since he's been here and has done some ridiculous thing, but I do appreciate that we are now better off than we were, so I am appreciative of that, he has always wanted the best for us.
Simmo86 Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 Milan going, Bedner in, Kirkland in and beating the Red Shite. Could be a cracking week!
hackneyfox Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 It's my opinion that MM saved our club. How? And please not the admin bollox again.
Mack Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 There are two sides to this man. The Savior and helping out side that for which I am grateful, and the smoke screens and mirrors he adopts and double speak that leaves fans feeling a lack of trust and a doubt over his motives. All in all we came out of it all ok, and with a bit of luck the Thais will be around for a while and wont just burn the club for their own gain and run. Time will tell.
phillthefox Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 as long as MM and Hoos are out by christmas thats all is on my christmas list
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 How? And please not the admin bollox again. I don't remember the que of investors standing in line back in 2007, willing to invest in our club? Willing to sustain the millions of pounds the club was losing annually. I'm not saying he is any kind of saint, or even a supporter of out club, nor am i suggesting he was in it for any other reason than sheer profit, but he bought in. He put his money into the club in a bigger way than anyone else has in my opinion. He has attracted the owners who appear to be able to take us forward, and hopefully bring a level of success that we all crave. I'm a little disappointed in supporters who just wanna say 'cya, glad to see the back of ya'. Let's not get tearful or anything, I'm not stupid, he was in it for profit but he has tried his best for our club, and I believe genuinely tried to do the right things for the club which includes the new owners & his eventual move on. But it's only my opinion, if it differs to yours then so be it.

Yes we may have ended up with sven but that was more by accident than design on milans part in the pearson saga.
Vestan Pance Posted 23 November 2010 Posted 23 November 2010 What do we really have to thank him for? Record annual losses? Quadrupled club debt? or moving us up the league 0 places in 3 and a half years?

I was gutted when he went, I would still have him in the seat now but I think this was part of the deal. I don't agree with everything and every method MM has employed, he has made us look stupid at times, but I still maintain that in my opinion we owe him a debt of gratitude.
