DB11 Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 I wondered what that was there for You could try and get a grant or something off of LCFC and they might even make this an official LCFC forum?
City Fan Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 You could try and get a grant or something off of LCFC and they might even make this an official LCFC forum? But then it would have to part of the OS and the club would want control of it.
Simi Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 So? It would still be the same whoever owned it Erm. No it wouldn't as City Fan said the OS would want to control it. So it wouldn't be the same.
Brainy Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 Erm. No it wouldn't as City Fan said the OS would want to control it. So it wouldn't be the same. it's Dannyboy, no point arguing with him, it'll never get through to him Sorry Dan..
DB11 Posted 30 May 2007 Author Posted 30 May 2007 But as the OS would own it they would just pay for all the stuff so we would still be able to chat, can't see how it'd change
Alexikokopops Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 But as the OS would own it they would just pay for all the stuff so we would still be able to chat, can't see how it'd change Ever heard of rules, forum guidelines? Are you saying the OS couldn't have any input on them if they contributed to the message board?
Daggers Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 But as the OS would own it they would just pay for all the stuff so we would still be able to chat, can't see how it'd change I believe they're very strict on punctuation and the coherence of posts...and anyone deemed to be not contributing in a positive manner is likely to have their bollocks put in a vice. And they wouldn't like the word bollocks. Especially twice. All we need now is a scrotum.
lookwhaticando Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 I'd rather the sticky topic wasn't cluttered by this high-level of intellectual discussion on the merits of Official Site ownership of FoxesTalk... So you've got yourself a new topic. Go wild, lads and lasses!

Simi Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 But as the OS would own it they would just pay for all the stuff so we would still be able to chat, can't see how it'd change Honestly ? At times.
James. Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 I've donated. It's quite easy to take for granted the lack of adverts, easy layout, robustness, presentation, enjoyment and success of this site. Nice one Mark. Keep it up.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 I've donated £50 in the past week or so to mad fools running and cycling around for various charities so I'm going to hang back and do it when the rush has died down. But I definitely will do it in the future. Mark is a God amongst men for this place.
Webbo Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 Mark is a God amongst men for this place. Agreed. All hail our esteemed proprietor.
Thracian Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 Ever heard of rules, forum guidelines? Are you saying the OS couldn't have any input on them if they contributed to the message board? It would start becoming sterile overnight. Independence is valuable. Don't ever contemplate chucking it away.
Hullfox Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 It would start becoming sterile overnight. Independence is valuable. Don't ever contemplate chucking it away. Thrach, get the 2008 diary out and mark down 30 May. It will be the anniversary of us agreeing unconditionally.

Anish Posted 30 May 2007 Posted 30 May 2007 Good idea. I think Mark should let us know how much it costs him to run this site, then people can donate accordingly. Once the running costs have been met it would probably be best to let us know so people don't continue donating and lining Mark's pockets.

Once the running costs have been met it would probably be best to let us know so people don't continue donating and lining Mark's pockets. I wondered why he was driving around in a beamer lately. Like Anish said if a rough amount he needs to raise could be stated it would be easier for us to all chip in accordingly. I'm more than willing to help.
Master Fox Posted 31 May 2007 Posted 31 May 2007 Will there be a board of directors for people that have invested?
Dames Posted 31 May 2007 Posted 31 May 2007 Will there be a board of directors for people that have invested? What if Dannyboy invests becomes part of the board and sells us out to the OS. It could be very risky.
