Nine days to go for another 25-year anniversary:

Brilliant idea from the man who gave us Danger 5. Olivia Colman voices the fox, Sam Neill the magpie.

I meant as in going for it, regardless. At least finish the season on a high. -

Grand finale on Sunday it is. All up to you, Hammers. -
One thing is sure, William Salt will probably never be employed by a football club ever again. Maybe the Secret Service is an option? Feel somewhat sorry for the lad, thrown under the bus by the club. The higher-ups should also be named and shamed – and sacked. Or at least sanctioned.

In terms of fairness, it's the correct call. However... How does this prevent spying? Clubs will just find other, more sleazy ways to get what they want (if they really want to). Also, this surely must mean that clubs will get hit with points deductions for all kinds of "misbehaviour". I expect more news in that direction, such as clubs complaining about transfers, fans, sponsors... and ultimately, the league itself.

This obsession with Maresca is somewhat... worrying. He's no Nigel Pearson. And no wizard, either.

Gone but not forgotten and certainly not the death list

Actress Ann Robinson (War of the Worlds), made it to 96. Respect. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/ann-robinson-dead-war-of-the-worlds-1236598147/ -
I see where you're coming from. Then again, Canadians and Americans have no problems dishing out that kind of money on Stanley Cup, NBA/NFL playoffs or World Series tickets – every year.

Does he have that one-year extension no matter what league Cremonese are in next season?
-
And Nantes against Toulouse called off after a pitch invasion by the Nantes ultras. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ-x38mMy1U Poor Vahid Halilhodzic, feel for the man. What a sad way to end your career.

Would never have come here in the first place. Even if NEC had missed out on CL qualifiers, they'd have finished 4th or 5th, which means Europa League or Conference League (qualifiers). No one in their right mind would want to swap that for League One football.
-
Strasbourg - Monaco. Grazy game. Monaco were 4-1 up at one point, only to lose 5-4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etn5NDUNKG8

Death Game (1977) Seymour Cassel's character gets a home invasion from two young women, one of them played by Sondra Locke (Clint Eastwood's long-time companion). Fun fact: Bill Paxton and Sissy Spacek did the props for this film. Remade in 2015 as Knock Knock, with Keanu Reeves as the lonely husband. Way worse than the original, and rather comical at times.

Racing Santander back in La Liga. Zaragoza, however, are more or less set for a relegation to the third tier. Need to win their two remaining matches and other fixtures to go their way, too.
-
Speaking of Italian football, Venezia and Frosinone promoted back to Serie A. The third and last promotion spot will go to one out of Monza, Palermo, Catanzaro, Modena; Juve Stabia or Avellino.
-
At least Vicenza and Benevento are back in Serie B already. Classy. The new installment of Brescia (remember the Hübner and Baggio days) could make it. too. And Arezzo have surprised everybody. Wish them luck.
-
Troyes and Le Mans returning to Ligue 1. The third club will be either St. Etienne or one out of Rodez or Red Star. Red Star would be fantastic, a club with great history. Been 50+ years since they've played in the French top division.
-
Last day of the season relegation decidder. Lecce have arguably the easier fixture vs. Genoa. Cremonese face Como. Ouch.
-
Congrats to them. Tiny club, even for German standards. The town of Spiesen-Elversberg is 13'000 people. They'll have to play at a different stadium, their own only holds 10'000 fans and is a rather makeshift one, even for 2. Bundesliga standards. My guess is they'll use Saarbrücken's venue – unless their stadium expansion is ready for next season. They haven't even updated their website with regards to promotion!

Thanks, West Ham. Well played. I thought you had more fight in you, but you're crumbling at the last minute. If Spurs fail to win, it'll go down on the final day of the season. -

That 2nd half "performance" was piss-poor. Hardly made it out of their own half. And that for a team that dominated the league for so long. I was rooting for Hearts, btw.
