Weird post. It could just be that those have gone over there have been slightly better behaved than our reputation might suggest. That said I don't recall much issue in Qatar 4 years ago either. I would imagine given you're looking more at thousands rather than hundreds just to be there, that that probably changes the complexion of people over there somewhat in comparison to the typical European excursions.

May well be on the list anyway but if it isn't already go to Newborough. In terms of beach settings in the UK it has to be up there. Coming through the forest is stunning and the views of Eryri across the bay are fantastic. I'd also recommend a place called The Stores in Trearddur (a pretty bay that feels quite busy, relatively speaking) if you go up that way. Great food there. My mate recommended Mynydd Parys, unfortunately I didn't get to see it but it's an old copper mine you can walk around.

Merseyside has had a combined authority for a number of years now. I don't know too much about specifics but it certainly seems like it has been beneficial for the region from a development perspective. I got on an LNW train to Crewe last Sunday at 1.45. They didn't announce the train until a few minutes before and I honestly have never seen so many people instantaneously move in the same direction. It's crackers. All the rail staff are telling people to calm down/slow down, but it turned out the last train up was cancelled and the one before that cancelled mid way because someone was taken ill so it was a sardines in a tin situation. 10 carriages, and all those people were moving at once. I would love to hear someone explain the logic for that system.

It's not the only reason but it's a significant factor as to why I don't want kids. It speaks to my personal viewpoint on humanity and I know many will disagree but it just doesn't sit right with me. Turns out it's part of the directive, which I think is good. Too often people/players equate contact with foul, forgetting it is a contact sport.

I think the media and how we've all been engaging with politics is a big part of the problem. Everything is too reactive and often discussed as black and white when its not really that simple. It's not sustainable to keep going through PMs like this and it is no good for the country.

Seriously? I think his restraining order and suspended sentence is probably about right if he has no record of violent behaviour but that said, I am a bit taken aback that you think threatening to burn their house and slit their throats is acceptable. Stick up for your child by all means, going to their house and some stern words is certainly understandable but that is too far.

Burnham has been Mayor since 2017. He was re-elected in 2021 and 2024. I'd say 8+ years of a largely successful Mayoral role for the 3rd biggest city in the country and then going for PM whilst Labour flounders under Starmer is quite a different picture to what you have painted, no? I think Burnham is actually worrying people. It's why the rhetoric has already started.
