  1. I thought it was Hamza Choudhury FC
  2. I was going to make a joke about us not needing to move so much because our possession is so perfectly orchestrated but you've ruined it now.
  3. You don't have to do an awful lot for it to count as a meaningful start and you can apply for permission to be extended. That said, I don't expect we will be doing either.
  4. This is such an odd suggestion, what is your logic? The issue is injuries, why would we sign him and then send him on loan to a league 2 team?
  5. @hfaes
  6. I really enjoyed it, sad though it is. Just about finishing reading the novella it is based on too.
  7. I've not worked at LCFC but worked at Anfield and Tigers in hospitality and they both provided a very basic meal for all of their casual staff on concessions, in the bars and stewards. All on 0 hour contracts, but pimarily I don't think they want people bringing in food, so they essentially have to provide it. Both those places cooked big vats of pasta for everyone IIRC.
  8. I thought he was pretty good on the whole. Looks composed, decent passing range and carried it forward more than anyone else did. It was disappointing he got megged but the goal is not his fault and if you're going to hold that against a CB you'll never be happy with anyone. He is the least of our worries, I just hope we can keep him a bit longer and he continues to improve.
  9. We all want this rot to stop and to bring through new blood but I find the suggestion to bring him back to be a bit ridiculous. Why disrupt him when he's having a good season just to stick him in the absolutely rotten situation we have here.
  10. Just finished this, really enjoyed it. Lots of interesting nuggets on plant biology/neurology to back up a perspective of humans which would really improve the world were it to be more widely held/adopted. Less impressed with this which was a recommendation. Some of the prose felt a bit strange to me, I can't help but think some things didn't translate as well as others from Norwegian.
  11. My mum mentioned it to me after we got back but I didn't notice in while I was in there. It's been refurbed recently so I hear, only thing I noticed from last time I was in was a lot of green on the walls and the restaurant looked a bit nicer.
  12. Couple Lanterns at Everards Meadow and a Festive Ale at the Stamford Arms.
  13. Relegation this season is a very real prospect and that would surely mean administration. Hard to say where we would end up if we don't get enough points to be clear of relegation even with a deduction. And that is just this season.
  14. I've not watched much of this year but it's just so obvious there is absolutely no plan other than get the ball wide and hope we do something with it from there. Some of the individual performances were shite but you really do wonder what the feck the manager is telling them to do.
  15. My sister is back from Oz and wants to go so we're going with the old man. My first game this season and I'm not looking forward to the football itself. That said, it'll be the first time the 3 of us have been in probably 10 years or so (sister has been in aus for 7 years) and I do love football on boxing day. I just hope we put up a fight and create some good chances but I'm not holding my breath for obvious reasons.
  16. I'd never been before so don't have anything to compare it to. Great spot for a lazy afternoon lunch though I thought.
  17. I hope the rest of it is better than that trailer.
  18. A couple pints of Everards Sleighbell at the Griffin Inn at Swithland. Went down a treat!
  19. I'm sorry to hear you're having such a rough time. No matter what is going on you are absolutely not a worthless piece of shit though bud. You're human, you're fallible and you make mistakes just like we all do. That's life. You are far more than a bloke who has made a few mistakes and fallen on some really difficult times. Try and keep the mind occupied on something to stop the overthinking spirals and try not to be too hard on yourself, the stories we tell ourselves can be powerful and detrimental. I hope things improve for you mate but either way keep posting, you can always count on this thread for some support.
  20. Can you elaborate on this at all? I've unfortunately done very little drinking in Leicester because I moved away. I always read this thread with a little envy in that I don't know the city (or county really) from the boozer perspective.
  21. Had a plum porter at the Malt Cross in Nottingham yesterday, can't remember the brewery though annoyingly and Google isn't helping. Decent pub, shame we didn't stick around longer!
  22. Wrong thread!
  23. Not sure how well the "I've not been backed" excuse will go down over there. I wonder who he'll blame.
  24. I just don't think Tielemans wanted to stay. There was at least one interview with him the summer before he left where the subject was raised with him and an offer was clearly on the table. As Tommy said, comparing him to Thomas, Vestergaard and Hamza is apples and oranges, they're an entirely different calibre of player. To be clear I'm not defending the club, I assume we could've done more one way or another but it's not like we were cheating out on wages at the time is it? Ultimately I just don't think Tielemans wanted to stay and it probably would've taken something silly to get him to.
  25. But it really wouldn't be - we paid like £18m for him. I don't think he's been consistent enough for us to get anything north of £30m but what would be the point of selling for £20?
