Gives them another few years with some fans though doesn't it, if this goes wrong and things continue to get worse they won't admit that for a good few years.
-
That's fair enough, I wouldn't disagree with any of this. But I dont think the bolded bit came across that much in your previous post, it read to me like a big part of the reason for not wanting Marti was because he was at an 'average' club.
-
I agree to an extent with all of this, except the last bit. At the very least, it is some form of admission that things aren't going well and that change is required. That is positive. But the leadership of this club has given us nothing in the last few years to suggest we should trust them or what they say and I have very little faith they will do a decent job of this. Such is the case that I can no longer give the club any credit for what they say until I actually see positive change.

'I Want People To Be Closer' - Khun Top Speaks
ajthefox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Flying private for 12 hours is a proper bloody slog I'll have you know. -
Jeez give it a bloody rest, we get it you're the victim! I know Bovril can speak for himself but you're pretty wide of the mark taking one thing he said about staunch BBC advocacy and equating it to support of Farage.

Talks about media narrative and then quotes a speech, leaving out the bit where the election loser says it was a corrupt election and that there will be no country left if you don't fight like hell 🤣

'I Want People To Be Closer' - Khun Top Speaks
ajthefox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Starts by talking about closeness to fans 6000 miles away. I mean really. It's all just fluff isn't it. Wait and see what happens with the Technical Director but quite honestly this is about as trivial as you could possibly expect and it's been done badly. -
Part of me is really curious to see what he has to say, the other half knows it's going to be lots of deflection/won't be taking accountability and is just going to make me angry.

Foxes Trust Reform - the final step
ajthefox replied to Foxes Trust Reform's topic in Leicester City Forum
The trust has clearly changed in the last year or so but yes with your attitude it will indeed be more difficult. If every cynic like yourself put the cost of a pint into membership instead and continued to feed into what they are doing, then it will have more weight. Getting rid of Top and Rudkin is not going to be a quick fix and no-one is suggesting otherwise. Renewing my membership alone will not make a difference, but the whole point is thatthe trust should represent the fan base more widely. We need as many people as possible singing from the same hymn sheet and showing our disproval of what is happening. -
Liverpool very hard done by with the goal but otherwise they've been shite. Amateur defending for that goal. Mountain to climb back now.
-
Incredibly soft sending off for Burn, so little contact in the 2nd and not much in the first. I find it really frustrating how contact seems to be more and more of a synonym for foul these days. Newcastle have wasted their lead imo, looked fairly comfortable and then gave away a soft goal from the throw and now their behind.

Only just got around to watching the highlights, my word what a game. Higgins is a beast and seeing Flacco do so well in 2025 does bring a little smile to my face, but boy I was howling watching Loveland bounce off the safeties and run for the TD. Crazy.

It's OK to ask but Wednesday have supposedly had numerous bidders in no time at all after going into administration and whilst looking likely to go down. I can't say I've got the foggiest who would buy us and we certainly could end up with someone just as bad if not worse, but that shouldn't stop us trying.

Not a single vote for Atomic Kitten is outrageous. Kerry Katona IMQHO one of the greatest musical minds of a generation.

Doesn't a stat saying that he's top 3 make it rather easy to disagree with someone essentially saying he's not good enough?

Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown has been extradited from Dubai to the United States to face a charge of second degree attempted murder relating to a shooting incident in May. The Miami Police department said the former Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers player was "located in Dubai and was apprehended" before being "extradited to Essex County, NJ (New Jersey), by US Marshals". https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/american-football/articles/cq83gnlvz42o

Good shouts here. Don't really remember venturing into the Blue Bell but the Swan was decent and the other two were semi-regularly haunts when I was there. Definitely worth visiting and a little more off the beaten track. Pivni was a favourite too. I would add The Hop - always had a reasonable selection, stone baked pizzas done in house and live music some days. Evil eye is a good spot for drinks but not necessarily beer.

Good from 70 as well most likely.

I love Nigel as much as the next person but I find this clamouring for the past to be really, really odd. I saw someone calling for MON here the other week as well. It's baffling. You can't just pretend it's 2008 or 1998 again. We need someone like Nigel but it won't be him. Remember the good times for what they were and move on.
-
Can't see us sacking him just yet and the way I see it there is little evidence to suggest we would. We got rid of Cooper fairly sharpish but have more generally been loyal to a fault. IIRC, we've also got form for sacking after international breaks rather than before when it would make more sense..

Skipp is the worst decision for me, if not the worst player. Data and Soumare have been bigger failures in being here longer and not performing, but I can understand their fees a bit more given their situations when we bought them. We all knew that was silly money for Skipp at the time, the Spurs fans couldn't believe it.

If you showed that to someone say 10-11 years ago and then told them it was the White House I think they would laugh in your face. It is absolutely crazy and yet more or less what we have come to expect.
