His only defence is that Barnes is useless defensively. He does track back more than Mahrez ever did but he may as well not bother. He’s pathetically lightweight.

Can’t defend. Can’t attack. Isn’t quick. Can‘t pass. Can’t cross. Doesn’t score goals. Doesn’t overlap Barnes effectively. He is the most out of depth player I’ve seen. He needs and has needed to go out on loan to the Championship for some time now. The fact that he’s become our first choice LB (yes through injury) is totally unacceptable and piss poor squad management.

I don’t want Top to sell up. The guy loves the club. Whoever comes in won’t love the club. Before you know it we could be in a bigger mess than we’re in now. I’d just like Top to go out and find an investor who will take a percentage in the club and pump the money in that he clearly doesn’t have.

We have serious problems at this football club. Problems bigger than we have seen for decades. That aside and taking this game in isolation the biggest frustration for me their first goal was a counter attack and we had TWO out and out defensive midfielders on. How the **** does that happen? The entire team just collapsed and Forest walked through. The same thing happened for their second but at least by then Mendy was off and we had gone for it a touch. But at 0-0 to conceded a goal like that is criminally unacceptable. That is just coaching. Or lack of.

Sitting on the train to Nottingham and listening to a podcast. The guest on the podcast said “we should denominate”. With a full fit squad I would 100% agree. But with a massively depleted side with our best players out, should we dominate? Should this bunch of reserves be better than forest still? Or do we go there taking a draw and hoping for a win?

Fingers crossed we bring the atmosphere tomorrow. The atmospheres recently have been a joke. I can’t quite help but think that makes the players even more pathetic.

People keep talking about Top ignoring fan pressure. What fan pressure?! A couple of people moaning on a forum that they don’t read?! If we want him gone we need to make it abundantly clear. Don’t turn up to the next home game. That’s the only way. If it hurts their pockets they will listen, eventually.

The thought of relegation has been on my mind as I’m sure it has for us all. I have to admit, if we can’t compete with mid table premier league sides without having to get investment then we need to seriously consider that relegation is a very real possibility. And to add to that, I’d rather we go down than get investment from some dodgy consortium like Newcastle have had.

I’d be starting Iversen on Tuesday as it’s a cup game and if he plays well he takes the shirt for Forest. Ward isn’t good enough. Iversen may also not be good enough. But we don’t know unless he gets a fair try.

Can we have some perspective?! I see so many bollox tweets about how another PL club is linked with someone that we’re also linked with, which is then followed by quotes on this forum from fans stating that we “HAVE” to sign this guy and if we don’t “we’re a joke”etc etc. Please just bear in mind that none of us regularly watch Lorient play. I mean, maybe one or two do but let’s not get so desperate to sign someone just for the sake of it. He could be absolute wank.
