We can afford to lose Faes and Winks or Soumare without replacing them. If we can get rid of all three plus Daka we should throw it all at a striker. In addition to that if we are able to I would turn JJ’s deal permanent and use the two loan spots for a right back and another striker.

Something is definitely off with Fatawu atm. Just re-watched the highlights and he does not acknowledge any of our goals. Hopefully he’s just down about his performances and how we’re playing. The cynic in me thinks there is more to this drop off in form and questionable behaviour

Nothing will ever taint what we have done. It’s not an understatement to say that what we did has never been done before and will never been seen again. Completely unique. We are in this position now due to Vichai’s passing and our club being unable to understand and work within the PSR restrictions. Once we have someone capable running the show and rules that are fit for purpose we’ll be back.

Fair play to him for convincing Top and Rudders that as he’s from Barcelona he’s mustard. we need to cut our losses and let someone appoint a manager who is not going to be fooled by false promises and PowerPoint presentations.

I think a lot will depend on this hearing. If we get off lightly, we may have the funds remaining in this period to replace him and give the new manager some money in January. If we are unable to spend anything, we may have to sit tight until the summer and reassess. What Top needs to realise though is that if that is what he decides to do, we are very much hoping to stay up than go up.

Begovic class, Ricardo looked about 50, rest of defence had good moments and bad. Midfield was tidy enough and JJ looked better later in the 6 (which we know).
