What's the alternative, stay down for years and still not be ready? We didn't look ready for long periods of 2014/15 but soon turned it around and many would've said Sunderland weren't ready this year and had a great summer window. If he's fit, over his injury and happy with reduced wages, then yes I'd have him. He's experienced, can lead the line, you'd have thought he's likely to be motivated after the accident and he's more of a presence than what we have. Can play in a few attacking positions. Having said that, it does once again show how far we've fallen.

Consistently inconsistent

He just doesn't have any strengths to his game. He's not fast, not great on the ball, weak, not good in the air, his long throws are short, he doesn't react quick enough, gets dragged out of position a lot. His good games seem to come down to luck, rather than what he's set out or intending to do.

We'll lose this with both teams to score, our league record will be won 7, drew 7 lost 7 and that pretty much sums up our inconsistency. We've played 20 games now and apart from Brum at home, I can't remember one solid full game performance.
