There will be a lot of young premier league players available for loan this week. I genuinely think now we have shifted out 7 players and only signed one, we are now at a stage where we will start to bring players in, however certain signings may be dependent on a player moving out. For example if BEK goes we bring in Rego, if VK leaves I think we bring in Harry Amass, if Faes and/or Okoli move on I think Mepham comes in. Once BEK leaves this will be the one that allows us to bring in the midfielder and striker we so desperately need.

To push along the preferred club to close out the deal, happens a lot, clubs get linked by agents to speed up transfers or drum up interest, it can even happen as favours for involvement in other deals. it could be that Stengs representatives are helping us to shift out some of our deadwood by using their contacts abroad or we have an interest in one of their other players and as a result we agreed to leak our interest to force Pisa’s hand.

Maybe this suits us to try and force through the Rego deal

Wout Faes (Besiktas interest, Fabrizio Romano)

He has 2 including one on Saturday for Abdul’s goal. However not withstanding that he definitely needs to be moved on this week and replaced with a genuine high energy box to box midfielder/destoyer. -

Not if the majority are loans or free’s where we have agreements in principe already in place. -
I think it’s far more likely we have imposed our own internal business plan to start to get the club back on an even keel. I imagine once we have raised X in outgoings it will then mean we can then spend Y on incoming players. I reckon the sale of Bilal unlocks our transfer budget and we see movement this week on a couple of loans and one or two free transfers or maybe just 3 or 4 loans with options/obligations

We did it with Chelsea when they signed KDH, Golding effectively covered the first years PSR payment. Sam Greenwood incoming for £1.6m - £2m …….

Had a solid enough game vs Charlton but my issue is over 90 minutes he just doesn’t offer enough, he is too easy to mark and is so often caught the wrong side of his man in transitions. Not sure he is anywhere near consistent enough to be a mainstay over a 46 game season. If he stays beyond next weeks deadline I would be tempted to slightly change the shape of the team and potentially play him as a lone 6 and ask him to sit and protect the defence, he does have the capacity to break lines with his passing and when he carries the ball if and when he can be arsed and then play 2 higher 8’s similar to Enzo’s set up. I am not sure he has the football awareness and intelligence to play in a double pivot.

Given Glover has been operating in a recruitment role across a number of clubs over the years you would suspect he has developed a fairy healthy network of agents and relationships with clubs which is perhaps helping to move out players. -

I have a sneaky feeling we click and get a decent performance and result, similar to when we went to Southampton early on in the season under Enzo and scored 4. -
Given some of the deals we have been doing recently I wonder if we have agreed PSR fiddle deals in return similarly to Golding, would not be shocked if we see a player come in from Palace if BEK goes there and possibly a Leeds player joining us after the Justin deal.

Good deal for us given his contract situation and will be mostly if not all pure profit, has had injury issues and his form has never quite reached the levels of pre injury but a fantastic professional and very good servant to the club. Hope he does well. Hopefully a few more to follow this week and it gives us the headroom to bring in 4/5 new players to balance the squad where needed and freshen things up to better suit how Marti wants to play. IMO we need a defender, 2 x midfielders, versatile attacking midfielder and a striker but some of that will be dependant on some more outgoings of people we want/hope to move on. -
Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

Especially if he his heart is set on a move to the premier league, we need anyone who is still hear after the window closes to be 100% committed to the cause not potentially sulking and not giving everything. Personally I think this is media posturing and the deal is close but just ironing out how much is guaranteed and how much is in add ons, reckon compromise will be sorted in next 24 hours especially if player is pushing for move. -
I live in Preston and I am already sick of hearing how these spud bummers are going to win the league and that each and every time Stolrcyrk makes the slightest mistake they drag up Iversen and the fact they got him for free and he is the best goalkeeper to ever grace the game 😂

Marti Cifuentes appointed new manager

Calling him a joker is bang out of order after 3 league games and one carabao cup match, yeah we look a million miles away from the finished article but feck me Marti is the last one to be getting pelters. We have lost a few players and signed a goalkeeper on a free transfer and players are being linked left right and centre to moves away so are highly likely distracted to say the very least and worse case already checked out. we can all see what a shit show the club is at the moment and yet the manager gets called out, unbelievable. -
I thought he had a decent game today.
-
Absolutely superb, showed massive bollocks to bounce back after last weeks mistake. Shows a great mentality and is a very very good keeper, bloody love him and really hope this is his break out season.

The club is in chaos at the moment players being sold and players in and out the squad due to potential moves, must be a nightmare trying to work on tactical and team shape/play when you genuinely haven’t got a scooby as to who will be available to you to select. It’s far from pretty at the moment but we have 6 points from 3 games and our first clean sheet. We looked a lot more together today. Once we get to September it will settle down and I think we will see a very different level of performance. -

Okoli was superb, a couple of mistakes in possession but an absolute rock at the back in terms of blocks, tackles etc that was Steve Walsh, Rob Huth, Wes Morgan type of performance 👏🏼👏🏼 -

Stolrcyrk and Okoli absolutely superb, nowhere near our fluent best but gritty and gutsy especially when you consider no BEK, Mavididi or Justin. We had a 16 and 17 year old starting, was always going to be a tough game but credit where it’s due that was a lot better than last week in terms of work rate and commitment. -
Ideally at 17 years old you want to be giving him 20-30 minute cameos when opposition are tiring rather than throwing him in from the start, but the experience will be invaluable. Remember he is not as far along his development path as Monga. was always going to be a baptism of fire for him.

I am really not sure what people expect, he has 3 central midfielders to choose from Skipp, Winks and Soumare that is it, he is also having to deal with loads of uncertainty around outgoings. Winks started last week and was awful and looked like he has checked out of the club. He is doing the best he can whilst being dealt an appalling hand. -
Riccy on at right back, Hamza into midfield to give us energy and some sort of aggression and get Skipp off.
-
That is a superb save from Jakub 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
-
We are working harder but really lacking quality and any sort of cutting edge.
