  1. We desperately need 4 new signings, Marti is literally managing with both arms and legs tied behind his back.
  2. We desperately need more energy and physicality in our double pivot, we are too easy to defend against as neither Soumare or Skipp naturally want to get forward, then with Ayew dropping in to the spaces that you would want one of your midfielders to occupy it then leaves us light in attacking areas as he then struggles to then get forward quickly enough.
  3. It’s you, he is 17 years old and his league debut so reckon he will be a little nervous and need a bit of time to get into his stride, we are crying out for our academy prospects to be included but as fans we have to show some patience and support to them all so then they can hopefully flourish
  4. Who would you pick instead of Skipp and Soumare ……Harry Winks who absolutely stank the joint out last week and was culpable in us conceding the wining goal. Truth is our midfield options are appalling which ever two he picks are fecking honking and that isn’t on Marti.
  5. Personally I think Brownhill will end up at a low end premier league team that panics after a poor start to the season. Would not be shocked in the slightest to see him at any of Brentford, West Ham, Wolves or even back to Burnley.
  6. We need to drastically reshape the squad and that means clearing out players who have checked out, or are looking for the exit door. Regardless of talent, a player who isn’t fully committed is going to be nowhere near as effective as a player who may be less technically gifted but wants to be here. Last week showed me regardless of the name, reputation or potential of some of our squad, too many showed they are going through the motions. For me we need to move on Faes, Winks, Soumare, VK & Daka whilst I also think BEK will go as well. Then hopefully that creates sufficient headroom to bring in 3 or 4 loans, a couple of free transfers and for us to be able to spend on a striker.
  7. Coulibaly has been absent since the Brentford game last season, made a couple of token appearances during pre-season, I think it’s much more likely he has failed to settle in England and with English football and both parties are working on getting him out before the transfer window closes. Where has this rumour come that he has broke VK’s jaw?
  8. Think it will end up being £10m straight.
  9. Not the most talented player but he always gave everything and genuinely loved the club. Great deal but gutted he has left as he really was a credit to our club. When I did my run for prostate cancer at the training ground a couple of seasons ago, Kasey was recovering from injury and was doing some work with the medical team and Yunus and on one of my laps he stopped and gave me a round of applause and some lovely encouragement. I will never forget that, he is an absolute legend of a lad and a genuine one of our own. I genuinely wish him the very best and hope he goes on to have a great career because he is one of life’s good ones 🦊💙
  10. The When your smiling podcast from yesterday
  11. After listening to the WYS podcast it would appear he is in the bomb squad, have a feeling VK is in a similar situation.
  12. Or the ‘injury’ isn’t that serious and he is being sidelined to protect him whilst we secure a move away for him. It feels like Marti has been very evasive with the details of VK’s injury, admits he is training but will some weeks away from full training and no detail on the actual injury.
  13. I have criticised Rudkin a lot but that is a cracking deal for a squad player. £12m + add ons for a player that isn’t first choice is excellent business and all pure profit 👏🏼👏🏼
  14. I agree with you to a point however another way to mitigate the shortfall of a lower sale price would be to sell a few assets and not reinvest. however I think currently this is more a case of the club pressing the reset button and almost starting again in a desperate attempt to get control of a business that’s running costs have been allowed to spiral out of control.
  15. Nail on head 👍🏼
  16. ……and inept management, PSR didn’t force us to spunk millions on shite like VK, Skipp, BDCR, Ayew and Eduoard or give lengthy and expensive contract extensions to Vesty, Hamza etc or shell out big fees and ridiculous contracts to the likes of Soumare and Daka. PSR is restrictive but much of our problems are of our own making.
  17. I wouldn’t be so sure, PNE just scraped survival on the final day of last season and then outplayed and out battled us for the majority of the game on Saturday, the issue for me is this current group don’t look to the have the heart or stomach for the battle and the majority of the players who are rumoured to have clubs interested in them are not necessarily the ones we need to shift on and refresh.
  18. Agreed and the issue I have is that McAteer is so far down the list of players that we need to move on from either a cost or contract element or due to attitude. Would much rather see Faes, Vesty, VK, Winks, Soumare, Daka, BDCR gone before Kasey but just about sums up this summer. The only upside is it is pure profit for PSR but I would hazard a guess this would not be reinvested back into the squad. In addition his versatility does mean he covers 4 or 5 positions which is priceless if we are on our arses and going to be operating with a small squad. we lose Kasey it’s another player who would run through a brick wall for the club gone whilst others who couldn’t give a toss continue to hang around.
  19. I wonder if Mavididi’s popcorn post was more aimed tongue in cheek about the fun when we sell BEK and Fatawu ….
  20. Bristol City have made Sinclair Armstrong available wouldn’t be shocked if end up signing him.
  21. Also covers the majority of Hermansen’s first year PSR …….
  22. Another who has his eye on the exit door and doesn’t want to be here, rumours he barely trained last week and has been linked with half the teams in the prem, was never going to hang around for a season in the championship, all culminating in a shocker of a 1st half performance on Saturday where he barely broke sweat. Get the money in and hopefully it gives us some sort of wriggle room to enable Marti to bring in 3/4 decent additions to freshen things up.
  23. I hope you didn’t say anything nasty or boo and spent the whole game clapping and cheering the wonderful hard work and endeavour of all our players 😂
  24. I was there on Saturday and it was very far from toxic, in fact at the start of the game the fans were vocal and backing the team, it went wonky when the fans could see what Steve Howard and Paul Gallagher could see, a team playing within themselves and certain players visibly checked out and going through the motions. We conceded 2 horrendous goals on both occasions where players gave minimal effort to get back and stop the opposition from scoring and it took a 16 year old to come on to give us any kind of positive momentum, however in general the fans backed the team with the exception of a few Rudkin out chants and Faes getting booed on to the pitch by a minority. The only time it got a bit more aggie was at full time when many fans left rather than show their appreciation of the efforts of many of the players. Whilst some who did stay vented their frustrations, if the players have now got upset by it then it speaks volumes of the entitled attitude, lack of responsibility and accountability, a distinct lack of character and integrity or appreciation of the situation.
  25. Look at Saturday, the travelling fans made their voices heard, vented some frustration towards the players and club, it was far from vitriolic or toxic and yet look at the fall out and criticism that has been forthcoming, Abdul’s post, Winks sulking and many fans calling fans out for daring to voice opinion during or after a game. The only one who seems to get it is Marti who absolutely hit the nail on the head, it’s no wonder many decide to stay quiet. A few boos at half time and some Rudkin out chants and all of a sudden we are the problem.
