Exactly. Championship's top scorer from last season, Smozics went for 9M. Brereton Diaz scored more goals then Ayew in less then half the games last season, younger and only went for 7M. Why did we opt for Bobby and Ayew, because Cooper has an obsession with PL experience. He's the driver for this policy of getting over the hill 30 somethings. Top and Rudkin are incompetent, most know that, but now they've also hired an incompetent manager. He said he watched all our games from last season, but somehow came to the conclusion that Ricky P isn't good enough, was he watching our games blindfolded?

I didn't mind him when we got him, but his insistence on getting aged, past it players, because we need "experience", has really pissed me off. Not to mention not playing Ricky, one of our best CM & RB. In reality we won't sack him even if we get relegated. Infact we probably hired him with one eye on the championship.

Of course, history is littered with stories like that. It's just ours has been so quick. Only 2 years ago we finished in 8th, when Fulham weren't even a PL team. Before that we came 5th twice and won the FA cup, when Fulham were yo-yoing between the Championship and the PL. Fast forward 2 years and we can't even compete with these guys. We were the benchmark for a well run club, and those at the top have fuched that up within a few seasons.

The game showed us just how far we've fallen, even teams like Fulham have left us behind. We played some good football against Spurs, but today we were just rubbish. No positives for me.

The bottom line is he's shit. He runs around, dives on the floor as soon as he feels contact, and that's about it, but Cooper wanted him and will play him regardless. The same's true for Bobby.

Breretin Diaz scored 6 in 14 games for a woeful Sheff Utd team last season, 25 yrs old and went for 7m. We get 33yr old Ayew who's scored 4 in 35 games for 8M. Makes no sense.

£8M on a 33yr old forward that doesn't score or assist, but runs around making a nuisance of himself. Lovely stuff Rudkin

TBH Okazaki only worked because Vardy and Mahrez were on fire for that period. Vardy's going to be 38 soon and cannot sustain that number of games and goals. Daka is injured but not the goalscorer we hoped. Cannon is not getting a game for whatever reason. Therefore our primary target shouldn't be a guy that runs alot and wins fouls, it should be someone who has the potential to get us 10 goals, something Ayew's never done. I could see the benefit in this, if we hadn't got Bobby.

If Cooper wants to get rid of Ricky because of his highish wages, so he can get the likes of Jordan Ayew in, he's a total idiot.

His cross in the build up to the 1st goal was class, but he also put a beautiful cross to Vardy not too soon afterwards. I think he had quite a few assists last season for a LB, so certainly will offer us something going forward. He gets stuck ball watching when defending, but the positives out weigh the negatives.

Kasey just has a natural eye for goal. As soon as he came on today he won a header from nowhere and nearly scored. Coupled to that his work rate is 1st class.

I'm surprised he's got such a low score on the ratings thread, because he worked very hard especially defensively. I think against top half teams when we're going to have to defend more, I'd play him or Kasey. Against teams where we need to create more, I'd go for Mavs.

Wow, that 2nd half performance came from nowhere. All through preseason and the 1st half we looked completely clueless. Then we just flicked a switch and looked a different team and probably should've won it. The only negative was seeing that oaf, Soumare amble onto the pitch when we needed Hamza's energy. Anyway it was a great result.

Ricky was one of our best CMs last season, but for whatever reason he's on the bench and we've paid £25M for a new CM.
