  1. Albrighton certainly dwindled after age 31/32. I think it's different for different players.
  2. I think the old style A-F grading system for GCSE's was much clearer and more concise than this current points-based system.
  3. Gary Coatsworth's huge garryowen for Walshy to equalise against Derby in the '94 Playoff final
  4. Fuchs somehow ending up on the right-wing then threading the needle for Vardy's 11 in a row Vs Man Utd.
  5. I'm thinking Reiss Nelson on loan. Probably now just a matter of convincing Arsenal to sub some of his wages.
  6. Can't believe Brighton have spaffed £40m on Rutter instead of just playing this guy. Our gain though.
  7. Backs-to-the-wall stuff for the majority, but infinitely more entertaining than Enzzzzzzo-ball.
  8. I'm finding myself warming to our Blonde Bombshell.
  9. I've decided that Windidipp rolls off the tongue better.
  10. Let the Skinkdidi era begin.
  11. Don't think Chelsea have been that bad considering the opposition. We'd be at least 4 down already.
  12. Looks like our only chance of staying up is 38 0-0's.
  13. Due to Rudkin's scruffy handwriting?
  14. I feel as deflated as Phil Mitchell
  15. He'll have a great game. Because it's August, and he's the World Champion of football in August. Just a shame this game wasn't scheduled for next April/May because that's when his form usually drops off a cliff.
  16. Not sure about the validity of this 'source' but will post anyway https://www.tribalfootball.com/article/soccer-premier-league-leicester-lining-up-bid-for-arsenal-star-816ed991-cb31-49eb-925d-b843d4eb2a3b? Leicester City may be ready to put in a bid for midfielder Reiss Nelson from Arsenal. Per The Mirror, the Foxes were hoping to bring Wilfried Zaha back to England. However, a deal to sign Zaha from Galatasaray in Turkey appears to have collapsed. The issue with the mooted loan deal is related to finances, which means they may look elsewhere. The source outlines that Nelson is seen as the alternative option by Leicester boss Steve Cooper. The Arsenal homegrown talent does want to leave this summer for more regular game time.
  17. Considering they both played in Ghana's WCQ win just 8 weeks ago I would think Fatawu knows who he is (Ayew got a hat-trick btw).
  18. That's some impressive Harry Potter-style stuff. I say GERRIMIN.
  19. Oumar Solet anyone? https://www.getfootballnewsgermany.com/2024/hoffenheims-move-for-leicester-city-target-oumar-solet-on-the-verge-of-collapse/? kicker reports that Hoffenheim’s move for Red Bull Salzburg central defender Oumar Solet is on the verge of collapsing in the final stages. The deal that was said to be around €6.5-7m and was in the home stretch has collapsed, Solet was also a target for VfB Stuttgart and Leicester City this summer.
  20. He's still getting paid by Chelsea by all accounts. Seems to have zero motivation to get back into the game right now. I'm certain he'd be a shoo-in for the England job if he really wanted it, but obviously he doesn't, hence why Carsley has been put in temporary charge.
  21. Let's hope you don't turn out to be half right.
  22. So; 1) Hat-trick on home debut 2) Breaks ankle badly soon after 3) Falls out with everyone on return 4) Leaves club Cool
  23. Röhl vs Rooney was always likely to be a bit of a mismatch.
