  1. Nowhere near offside. Hamza was miles behind the back line who all stepped up. Awful defending. Our options at LB are Sunday League level.
  2. What was Hamza doing there!!!
  3. Tempted to join you for 24th. Would also be up for 14th too.
  4. What was actually approved by the council, is it just the stadium or were some of the other buildings set for the EON site approved as well? Just wondering if we'll see them start work on the footings for the other buildings to extend the deadline indefinitely. In reality there's no chance this development goes ahead anytime soon, and even if we miraculously crept into the playoffs and achieved promotion (zero chance without a swift change in manager), I'd like us to revisit the actual stadium redesign as I think things have moved on and the bubble effect will look very dated.
  5. What happens if it's a draw??? Would be typical of us to sack the manager in the middle of a transfer window, only to appoint his successor a few days before the window closes. We know exactly how this plays out; manager gets sacked > board take forever to appoint a new manager > new man comes in days before window closes > Glover and Rudkin sign Rejects Re-United on 6 month loans paying sizeable loan fees > window shuts > new manager refuses to play any new signings citing lack of quality > big points deduction lands > club get relegated > loanees go back to parent clubs having played less than 90 minutes > questions asked as to why we didn't sign anyone of notable quality > complete silence from the board > league one kicks off > within 2 months Percy et al. are reporting of further points deductions due to bloated squad, excessive wages, and loan fees paid in the prior year > rinse and repeat until Macquarie or HMRC don't receive payments due and club is placed into administration.
  6. The more I think about his comments last night the more it boils my ****. If he's going to come out with comments like that he needs to have the courage to follow through and explain what issues he's referring to. If there's a genuine reason as to why he can't speak openly then he needs to have greater restraint and not just casually drop it into interviews. It feels very much like a distraction attempt to divert attention away from his inability to handle the situation. He's out of his depth, it's as simple as that. You can have all of the issues under the sun, but that doesn't excuse players showing no professional pride, a lack of organisation in terms of team shape, lack of concentration, etc. I don't recall any such comments after the Derby game which was merely a few days earlier. Let's be honest, at the best of times this club is incredibly slow, let alone over the Christmas period. Top's been AWOL for months, so for the situation to have suddenly deteriorated so dramatically in a matter of days is very unlikely and seems very convenient given the performance yesterday.
  7. Where's Balague when you need him?
  8. Bit of a silly argument really. Needs to ask himself why he wants a change at board level yet is seemingly happy to keep said board in place.
  9. Joachim surely gets in ahead of the likes of Gradel, O'Grady, and McAteer.
  10. You know the situation is bad when you genuinely think we'd have been far better off keeping RVN. MC is so clueless, it's like we ran a competition at a Tigers game to be the manager of City for a season. All this nonsense about having watched Barcelona. I presume it was after having downed 10 pints because the resemblance is nonexistent. He's the manager equivalent of Danny Ward, genuinely baffled that he is a professional manager. I've seen far better managers coaching Division 6 Sunday League sides down the local playing fields. On reflection, the fact that RVNs best result saw us stick 5 past MCs QPR last season was the biggest red flag. I'll be honest, from the outside he looked a decent coach at QPR, and I was relatively happy when we appointed him. This was reaffirmed in pre-season with all the sound bites he kept dishing out. I thought at last we've found a manager who will address all the ongoing issues at the club. How wrong was I. The bloke just spouts nonsense and his actions are completely inconsistent with his words. I genuinely would take Russell Martin in an instant. For all of his faults he at least has a style of play even if it comes unstuck from time to time.
  11. When he's off the pace he looks dreadful. Problem is that he's one of the few we have who can create something out of nothing. Agree with you though that he's been garbage so far.
  12. Why is it that whenever we make a mistake we always get punished, yet we barely ever capitalise on other teams mistakes?
  13. 1st away clean sheet and the 2nd away win coming right up then 😉
  14. Shout out to the lads on the Leicester City Pubcast. The Christmas songs section was a great listen. Norm's song was fantastic. Love BSLB pod, but Norm's banger put Ric's Ormondroyd song to shame. Well worth a listen 👍
  15. Really undecided on whether to go today. Part of me wants to as I've missed quite a few of the last home games, but the other part me thinks if I go then I'm sacrificing valuable time with the family, which if the team put in a QPR style performance will really pee me off. Also, not sure I can be bothered standing in the freezing cold for a few hours if they team don't show up today.
  16. This season reminds me so much of the decline under BR. We're sleep walking our way to relegation. It's glaringly obvious he's not up to the task in hand. The stats, eye test, points tally, attitude of the players are huge red flags. However, just like BR when it looks inevitable that he can't escape another week, the team find a win out of nowhere which prolongs his stay. I really dislike the ownership now. They're the worst type of owner you could possibly have; not rich enough to have ambitions of pushing on, but conversely not poor enough that there's any risk of administration unless they actively choose to take that path. We're stuck in a state of limbo, with the club just being an asset in the family's estate. I once thought I'd take whatever decline came our way after seeing us win the PL, essentially 'football was complete'. I'd happily exchange that trophy now just to have some connection with our club again, and to have an owner who even if they weren't blessed with riches, actually cared and tried their best.
  17. Watched this last week. Demis comes across as a very humble human being given his intelligence, wealth, and standing in the tech sector. Hadn't realised he was involved with Peter Molyneux and Bullfrog back in the day. Speaks volumes that he turned down a sizeable contract offer (would have been huge at the time) to pursue academia and his personal passion for discovery.
  18. If we see Antonio in and Carranza's loan terminated, with similar financial terms offered, then for me this is a no brainer. Yes, there's obvious question marks around where Antonio is at physically, but he'd definitely pose more of a threat up top than Carranza from what we've seen of him so far.
  19. He seems a nice chap, but he's massively out of his depth. Only saw parts of the second half last night, but we looked a real mess. Shape was poor, mentality was abysmal , looked like the team had been instructed to sit deep and contain, fitness seemed miles off the pace, and tactically I have no idea what he was trying to achieve with those subs. Add in the fact that he doesn't really come across as someone who demands high standards, and it all indicates that he's simply the wrong man for the job. What irritates me the most is that it's glaringly obvious what needs to change and this league is horrendous this year. A half decent manager would have us flying. The squad isn't the best, but it's way better than the majority of others. What's missing is a manager who can manage, set standards, and get the best from the group. We need to make a change and make it quickly if we harbour any hopes of making the playoffs.
  20. Let's get this straight... he kicked off with RVN for being asked to stay at Le-Boutique Seagrave for one night, but now he's allegedly willing to move to a completely different country?
  21. If you are in the US there's absolutely no need to turn off location services which would geolocate and block you if accessing the service outside of the territory.
  22. Brilliant game today. Thought he edged James, but the pair were fantastic.
  23. Can't argue with that team today. Seems to be playing the players who haven't completely down tools. Pleased to see there's no Winks in the squad.
  24. Farke really is Enzo's nemesis
  25. @BigStrongLeicesterBoys Please please please can you do everything within your power to produce an episode with @Ric Flairinterviewing @hfaes Don't mind if it's a Pay Per Listen event with donations going to Lamp, but please make this happen!
