  1. The club knows we're not going up this season. So the only objective is to not get relegated. Whilst a potential points deduction makes it less clear, we're unlikely to go down, and we're currently 10 points clear of the relegation zone. So they won't be sacking Marti. Even if some sort of interim could improve us. And there's absolutely no way we can appoint, in our current circumstances, the manager capable of rebuilding us and getting us promoted.
  2. It’s painfully obvious we won’t sack Marti unless we’re in the relegation zone/very obviously in a relegation battle. Stop bemoaning every modicum of success that ‘keeps Marti in a job’
  3. Source? And no relegation clauses, despite quite a lot of reports of them for other players?
  4. I know everyone is piling on and has now personally attacking him, but he played well many times under Enzo
  5. I’d have preferred him staying in England and getting to 150+ PL goals, even if he had to do it with someone else
  6. All I'd say is that publicly available information has next to no relation to what's actually going on behind closed doors though, right?
  7. Him as captain and Hamza as vice captain is symptomatic of the malaise of the squad rather than reflective of any real leadership skills. Both players get it almost be default as the players who are most experienced (i.e most stale/been here longer than everyone else).
  8. Talk of him going to Man Utd as interim
  9. 6 year deal for Rosenior!?
  10. Many, many people said the same about RVN and Cooper before him - which is quite telling isn't it? Marti has been terrible no doubt. But isn't it very likely the club appoints someone equally uninspiring as his replacement? Again, it's not really about what we want as a forum/fanbase and more about what we think the club is likely to do. Personally I imagine they know that promotion is incredibly unlikely this season, so therefore the only real objective is to avoid relegation. If Marti is doing that then they'll see no reason to sack him, especially when there's a financial cost to doing so and things continue to be tight.
  11. This is what I'm thinking. Without the full league table it's kinda worthless. For all we know, the entire league might be in the 107 to 111km range.
  12. Just delete your account mate
  13. Probably more about Ayew not being able to start every game over busy festive period and Daka having been away
  14. QPR signed Kone for £5m + wages Surely you don’t think we’re spending more than that on Antonio!?
  15. Had a chance to get the winner when he came on vs Cov, with that header chance. Sliding doors moment?
  16. Pretty forgettable so far - 9 appearances and 315 mins but I could barely remember him doing anything. 0 goals and 0 assists too.
  17. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/clyzg01420xo
  18. I can't remember the chant from Saturday but he definitely had one.
  19. I think there will be interest in Jan, which we'll knock back. Summer 2026 will be the tough one / obvious time to sell. But he'll only be 22 and will still have 3 years left on his contract, so (other than being in the Championship) we'll decent leverage to get, say £30m+ If deductions/PSR all 'resolved' by then, we could even have a strong enough position to keep him, if we're rebuilding/spending for a promotion push in 26/27
  20. Absolutely mad that you think Stolarczyk could have scored this goal
  21. Anyone got a link to a river?
  22. Luckily our fixture at Blackburn is in May
  23. We paid £8m for Golding!?
  24. Not sure how it works with his wages, but need roughly £1.6m for him in Jan to break even, based on his book value Does anyone pay that?
  25. These commentators hate Jakub
