Gerard Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 Swansea are in decent form, I'm not expecting them to roll over. This is tough match albeit we have much more to play for. But 4-0 and out of the bottom 3, come on! 3-0 gets us out. I'll take 1-0 and 18th though or even 1-0 and 19th and a Burnley win at Everton. Just win
LCCFox96 Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 Play like we did in the 2nd half last weekend and we can beat Swansea. The team's confidence and form has perked up over the last two games. Bafetimbi Gomis, Neil Taylor and Kyle Naughton are all injured - both first choice full backs being out is fantastic for the likes of Vardy, Albrighton and Schlupp. We have a full strength side and a good recent home record against Swansea. Control the likes of Sigurdsson, Shelvey and Cork in the midfield battle - Cambiasso and whomever his central midfield partner is will be crucial today - and there is no reason why we can't add 3 points to our tally today.
CloudFox Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 They're a strong side Swansea, but you have to hope we can take advantage Of their injury list. On my way up on the train and ready for the Kop. Psyched!
Guest Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 You seriously believe that QPR will be panicking and Hull and Sunderland will be worrying if we get a point to Swansea at home? I have no doubt that the managers of the other four clubs around us now will settle for us taking a point right now. It will be another home game ticked off for Leicester and still breathing space between us and them, that's how Hull and Sunderland will see it. Burnley and QPR will see that we've not broke away from them. According to the betting markets our point expectation for this match is 1.64 points. If we draw this match our chances of safety will have diminished slightly. 1 point moves us above QPR with a game in hand - yes they will be panicking. 1 pt moves us above Burnley, 1 pt moves us to within a win of Sunderland. Therefore beating each of them would pretty much secure us safety. They will all be hoping perhaps even praying that we lose. QPR have West Ham at home which is a similar fixture to Leicester vs Swansea. Would you not take a draw now for that match as a Leicester fan or is only a West Ham away win an acceptable result? I would take a draw because we have 2 games in hand over QPR and have to play them.

I would also take a draw when QPR are at home to West Ham, they go nowhere after getting a point against a mid table team at home. So why do you think it's a great result if we get a point at home to mid table Swansea? Your logic doesn't make sense.
Finnaldo Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 If we can get the win, in any form, just getting off the bottom will be another big step and another massive confidence boost for the lads. My dad reckons 3 or 4-0, I'm reckon for a more conservative 2-0.
Kasey Keller Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 Fabianski is no mug, very good keeper cant see it being 4-0......

Torten Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 Anybody that thinks we're going to win by more than 2 is truly deluded. Swansea are a different kettle of fish to West Ham or West Brom and we'll have to be bloody excellent to win today. Even without Gomis, it doesn't take a genius to score against us.

I agree completely. They have an exceptional midfield imho. They could dominate in that area.

I don't think that QPR can get a point from West ham but you asked me if I'd be happy with it. I think it's a good result for us if we get 1 point from Swansea because I think (if we deserve to stay up) we should get 3 pts from each of Qpr, Burnley and Sunderland. That 1 point would then mean we'd got at least 16 points from our last 9 games and that should be enough I agree completely. They have an exceptional midfield imho. They could dominate in that area. But we have class in midfield.
Rincewind Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 Just had a news letter from LCFC previewing the game. Hope its not a bad omen but Swansea have not won in their last 1o visits to Leicester. Have I put a jinx on it for mentioning it? 2-1 City Vardy Cambiasso

Expecting a win against Burnley and Sunderland away isn't feasible. They will both look at there home fixture against us as their best chance of three points. Sunderland and Burnley are fixtures I'd be take a point from each now if offered.
foxfan92 Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 Need to neutralise their midfield and take advantage of the enforced changes they've made at the back. Maybe something like this Kasper Was Hugh Morgan Schlupp Albrighton Hammond James Cambiasso Nugent Vardy
Tielemans63 Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 But we have class in midfield. I agree but I think if both midfields play to their potential then theirs' is stronger.

They will both look at there home fixture against us as their best chance of three points. Sunderland and Burnley are fixtures I'd be take a point from each now if offered. Sunderland and Burnley are 2 of the 3 worst teams in the league. It will be easier to get points from them than a team that is in a tier (or two) higher than both of them and us. If we can't get a win against them then we have little chance of getting a win against Swansea - your logic is unreasonable. Of course I agree that they will think 3 points against the bottom team in the league is their best chance - just as I think 3 points against our weakest opposition is easier than against a better team. Fact is we have to prove we are a 16th/17th placed team and beat those teams that we expect to finish lower than us.
Swanseafan Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 Well done you deserved the 3 points today. See you all next season. I'm sure you'll stay up.
Guest Bilo Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 Well done you deserved the 3 points today. See you all next season. I'm sure you'll stay up. Thanks. Your boys had us sweating in the second half - Swansea are a good model for newly promoted teams.
KP Fox Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 It's a pity Hull didn't play today. If they played and lost 2-0, we would be out of the relegation zone. But what great form for us to take into the last few games of the season!
Guest Bilo Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 Now let's make it 4 on the bounce. If we beat Burnley I think we can say, barring any disasters, we're probably safe with a few games to spare. Considering where we were a few weeks ago, that would be a remarkable achievement.
shade Posted 23 April 2015 Posted 23 April 2015 don't we need a lucky "Burnley!.. 4 on the Bounce!" thread?
