Number 6 Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Don't know what Kingy has done to deserve a starting spot. Score a late winner against West Ham? Come on a sure up the midfield against WBA?
Babylon Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Don't know what Kingy has done to deserve a starting spot. Thought he played very well when he came on against West Brom.
Guest Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Score a late winner against West Ham? Come on a sure up the midfield against WBA? I'd rather stick with James and have Kingy on the bench as worked in both of those matches.
Guest Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Thought he played very well when he came on against West Brom. Me too, but I've been happy with James play throughout the season and would prefer he got the start. Kingy can be held in reserve in case he's needed as in the last 2 games.
Wilson_6 Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Danny Drinkwater the forgotten man of Leicester ... Any one else see him featuring again before the end of the season?
Steven Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis out for three to four weeks with hamstring strainhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3041621/Swansea-striker-Bafetimbi-Gomis-three-four-weeks-hamstring-strain.html
indierich06 Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32334720 No Bafetimbi Gomis for them, that's a plus.
Gerard Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 3-5-2 means we have three in midfield? Flat back four means we have four defending against one up front? It's a tricky decision all round. Anyone expect a different starting 11 to the last game? would be normal Nige to start same 11 as at WBA and see how it goes. But it's not though. A flat back four means our full backs pick up their wide players and one of our two central DF's pick up the FW with the other one to cover. I'd rather see two centre halves and a defensive MF playing against one FW than three centre halves as it's likely they'll break from MF and our DF's won't be clear on who should be picking up the runners from MF. 3-5-2 will end up as 5-3-2 as their wide players will push more forward as they will outnumber us on the flanks.
Vicki Vixen Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Rangel isn't the fastest, but does read the game well ( made well over 300 appearances for us) as for Williams, Fernandez and Amat i wouldn't say they were slow. We have been getting some decent results recently, but we can self-explode at times. Last few season when we were safe from going down the players switched off and results & performances were not to good. It's different this season under monk, in terms of not being so attractive, but we seem now to be able to dig in and are much more dogged in the way we play. I went to a Tuesday night game in the early 90s at Gresty Road - Crewe vs Swansea - and there were 4 Swansea fans in the away end. I also noticed you returned a bunch of tickets to us last week. How many will you be bringing on Saturday?

RowlattsFox Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Kasper Wasilewski Huth Morgan Albrighton James King cambiasso Schlupp Nugent Vardy The choice was king or ulloa/kramaric but I wanted Vardy down the middle. We also need the extra man in midfield for this. Swansea are tough to beat so I can see a frustrating draw here. 3/4 points from the next two games would be acceptable for me.
benpicko Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 I just really hope Pearson doesn't bottle it and revert back to the kind of turgid stuff we've seen so much this season. inb4 the diamond again
talking_goldfish Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 I think we should put out this side and go attacking from the off: Subs: Hamer, Upson, De Laet, James, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Ulloa I want to see us play like we did in the first 10 mins against Wham, and give ourselves a chance of achieving the goals required to take us out of the bottom 3. That said, I think this one will end 2-1 Leicester, Burnley will get a draw at Everton and we'll be in 18th place.

talking_goldfish Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Way too open imo. I agree with Kramaric over Ulloa though I think in the past few games we've been playing with a fluidity we've not had for much of the season, against WBA we played better when we went to this formation so I think it might be worth a punt from the off. Swansea are pretty much without a recognised striker and I think with the pace of Schlupp and Vardy, the mystical luck of Nugent in the team and the trickery of Kramaric this could be our game to break a team down and bag a couple of well-worked goals.
Master Fox Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Bad news guys..... NP: "We've got almost the entire first team squad available, which is important going into the run-in. Only Bakayogo, Logan out." #LeiSwa
benpicko Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Bad news guys..... ffs that's this match over then
Vicki Vixen Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 . I believe over 1600 have bought tickets so far and id imagine a few more will buy today. Why do you struggle to get a decent amount of support? If you bring less than 2000 to Leicester, that would be the smallest away following we've seen at our place all season. I thought Swansea would have a big catchment area given you are the nearest club for most of the population in Mid, South West and West Wales. I appreciate its a long way to travel from Swansea and there's a strong rugby following, but with you having such success and generally playing some very attractive, attacking football, I'm surprised you don't have a bigger fanbase.
Number 6 Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 I'd rather stick with James and have Kingy on the bench as worked in both of those matches. It didn't work because of James. Unless King can only play well when coming on from the bench then I'm not sure why you can't fathom what King has done to deserve a starting position.
Guest Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 It didn't work because of James. Unless King can only play well when coming on from the bench then I'm not sure why you can't fathom what King has done to deserve a starting position. You seem to be placing a few minutes in a couple of cameos over a much deeper and broader workload. A Fresh King coming on for 20 mins at the end of the match where teams have been slogging it out is far different than Kingy starting against fresh players. I'm not sure why you can't have your opinion and I can't have mine.
Ollie93 Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Personally I'd stick with James and Cambiasso to start. But definitely bring Kingy on at some point, saying this I do fear about james and cambiasso vs Shelvey and Sigurðsson. James - Cambiasso has been working so why change it? It didn't for the first half against WBA
Babylon Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 It didn't work because of James. I think that's a bit harsh, we'd already taken control of the game without King on the pitch. James wasn't playing particularly well, but I really don't think he can be blamed for anything not working. It didn't for the first half against WBA But surely that's down to the formation more than anything, as I said above we took control from the start of the second half with the change in formation, rather than King coming on.
