Dangerous game laughing at other football fans. Go back and re-read our threads from two weeks ago! And it could all change again in another two weeks.

I haven't seen a set of fans so resigned to their own doom since I last read the Cov forum. So negative it's slightly worrying.

I'm not laughing.

You'll see similar threads if we lose the next two.

I know this will bite me on the arse like seemingly everything does but watching Vardy's winner on Saturday coupled with their defending has got me kind of excited for our game there.

Their great escape last year was incredible, considering the games they played. Everyone talks about us and Burnley having an easier run in, but it's at times like this where results tend to be ridiculous and so I wouldn't count anyone out yet. It wouldn't surprise me if Hull got out of trouble for example.

The toughest games for those in this relegation scrap are with those teams that are also in the scrap, our run in is not as easy as some make out.

Chelsea
Burnley
Sunderland
QPR

These will be our toughest games and the 3 against the strugglers we could just as easily lose as win.

This is true. We talk about a favourable run in on paper (which I agree), but those games against Burnley, Sunderland and QPR are six pointers. Win them and great, but lose them and the consequences are more pronounced. These teams are fighting for their lives; they will not role over. We might have been better playing the mid-table sides. I am positive but, as has been stated, there can be some funny results towards the end of the season.

There is no such thing as an "easy" run in. Our league position (bottom) reflects our poor form overall the season. I take the point that our run in appears "easier" but I'm still nervous!

Swansea at home is just the sort of "easy" fixture that we'll lose 1-0 (like we did against West Bromwich, Palace and Stoke) or draw 0-0 (like we did against Hull and Sunderland)

Swansea at home isn't an easy fixture at all, they're 8th. A draw would be a good result

I'd agree with this every other week but with them having no strikers to play I honestly wouldn't take a draw.

Swansea are nearly 3/1 on Betfair to win the match which is crazy considering the league positions of the clubs.

People said the same thing in the game earlier this season. Brown & O'shea dealt very well with him.

We can't really afford to laugh at teams with more points than us. That's everyone for the time being. Until we're safe we probably shouldn't be laughing at anybody else.

Even then though there were signs of the problems Vardy could cause them. Early on in that game I believe Wes Brown miscontrolled a pass back under pressure from Vardy and but for Costel Pantilimon's reactions and getting out quickly we might have been 1-0 up. That was also a team bang out of form. A team in form with Vardy playing as he is will cause Sunderland's defence problems.

Hopefully. Also Vardy's confidence will be sky high now.
