Carlos88LCFC Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Ferr is a side-wards step in my eyes don't think he's any better or any worse than Matty James / Danny Drinkwater. We need someone in our team who will compliment Cambi next season if we stay up. Someone like Shelvey would be ideal!

We need someone in our team who will compliment Cambi next season if we stay up. Someone like Shelvey would be ideal! As much as it pains me to say it he is a way, way better player than james and drinkwater. He's played 11 times for Holland. James and drinkwater are no where near international level at the moment. The only issue he has is that Everton were going to sign him for 8 odd million before he went to Norwich but he failed a medical. He's only played in relegation fodder sides, Norwich and qpr his best position is as an attacking midfielder Arry didn't play him there. He needs to play alongside a holding midfielder so he can get forward a bit. He's also a way better player in my opinion than Shelvey. It's just that Shelvey plays for a good side and fer doesnt
desertfox2 Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 You must have seen him a lot more than me then bud.. Hopefully we sign him then you can see him has to play as a attacking midfielder. Arry tried to play him more defensive and that negates what he is good at.

It amazes me how many of these "great international" players are only able to play 1 specific position and a slight modification makes them crap. Just means we should praise Jeff all the more.

Where as every time i watch Shelvey, he's looked a beast! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Danno Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Why on earth would Shelvey come to us? Swansea are better than us in every single department.
Bayfox Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Why on earth would Shelvey come to us? Swansea are better than us in every single department. Really? Nit picking I know. But I must have missed their striking options when they played us.
Finn Claw II Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 High calibre, Januzaj (loan), M Richards, Huth, Ings, LB and Cattermole (yup let's ignite that again!). Wishful thinking but aim for quality. All the above players need to play for a team where they are likely to get game time
!-LCFC-! Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Andy Robertson Robert Huth Kieron Trippier / Bellerin (loan) Jota Scott Sinclair & a clinical young striker for the development squad

When you think about it its pretty impressive how much he's improved really. Not many players could adapt to that. Hazard is one of the best players in the league but I bet he would look really bad if he had to play left back. Or as a centre forward with his back to goal.

Danno Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Fans?As good as if not better than ours. Don't think fans would come into a player's decision to sign for a club anyway.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 I'd like - Daniel Wass, Robert Huth, John Flanagan, Abdoulaye Doucoure / Morgan Sanson (if we stay up). Would love to see us have a cheeky go for Deulofeu or someone like that on loan, maybe Gnabry who'll have something to prove after a horrid season with injuries - Huth aside we've barely touched loanees this year (Powell was a disaster and is the only other one I can think of). --------- If we go down then the usual mix of obscure foreign gems and youth cast offs from bigger clubs.
funguseater Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 John Carver may be looking for a job opportunity in the Summer...
themistocles Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 I think some of you need to wake up ! After just scrapping relegation ( probably) players like fekir, thauvin, Samson will not be joining you, what reason would they pick you when the top 10 would jump at the chance of signing them . Your chances of signing Huth are diminishing by the match , stoke will want him back next season

Not saying they are realistic targets either though.

Jesé is better than Deulofeu. Not that it's in any way likely he'd ever join Leicester on loan. (The eternal fight between good and evil from Futhead continues and spreads over to FT) Left-back: Ben Davies on loan (?), Jon Flanagan or Bryan Oviedo Centre-back: Robert Huth, Micah Richards, Steven Caulker or Kurt Zouma on loan Attacking midfielder: Little choice in the Premier League... If he wasn't so injury-prone, I'd go with Yoann Gourcuff - or Benjamin Courgnet or Ludovic Obraniak. Maybe we also want to re-ignite that Davy Klaassen rumour? Also, Marko Marin and Mohamed Salah are realistic shouts (sorry for bringing the latter one back up again)
themistocles Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 You might find that Huth will have some say in this...He's entering the last year of his contract at Stoke, therefore in a decent position to push for what HE wants.. If he decides he'd prefer to 'want away' then a couple of mill or so could seal the deal! You're correct , however, with Stokes woes defensively this season the big German is exactly what they need. An offer to reestablish himself at the back with a team pushing for top 10 again next season will be hard refuse

We're receiving praise for our style, players can be sold the club's vision and of course they actually want to play football hence Krameric joining us over Chelsea
