stripeyfox Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 I'm with Mike. If I tell myself all week we will lose 3-0. Anything better is a bonus. Yeah, I've been pretty much doing this for the last 25 years...
David Hankey Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 The fact of the matter is that the permutations are still to great to know exactly what will happen. Leicester City do not need to worry or concern themselves about what the other teams do but just carry on doing what we have been so successful at in the last month. It is in OUR hands, not Hull, Sunderland, Newcastle or anyone elses.
MC Prussian Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 If we get at least a point at Sunderland and Hull lose, we're safe. #ITK #Statingtheobvious
weller54 Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 If we get at least a point at Sunderland and Hull lose, we're safe. #ITK #Statingtheobvious Such a shame Totteringham are total shite!!!
Gerard Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Dont forget its not only Hull that need to catch us its Newcastle and Sunderland aswel. I cant see all 3 of them teams making 38 points. (With our goal difference i would say all 3 would need 38 points for us to go down.) Not only would it take us losing both games (i can easily see a draw from at least 1 of them games) it would take the 3 below us to go on a good run. Granted 1 win can change it but will all 3 win. I dont think so. We avoid defeat at Sunderland its job done imo. I think next week Spurs will beat Hull and we will draw 1-1 with Sunderland. The champagne will be flowing and the QPR home game will be 1 massive party with us saying cheerio to QPR all game Sunderland beat us at the weekend? Newcastle show some fight against a QPR squad in disarray and win? Hull beat an uninterested Spurs? And we start the last week of the season in the relegation zone. The above events are hardly impossible. With so few games left no one is safe until they are mathematically safe. If we were 20 points ahead a couple of teams with 7 to play then yes it takes an astronomical sequence of results to get us relegated but with a couple of games left and three points above the relegation zone absolutely not. It's more than a 50% chance that we'll go into the QPR match with a chance of being relegated. Edit: In fact we have a 50.1% chance of going into the last day of the season with a chance of relegation according to the betting markets. A good guess by me. We have a 33.8% of beating Sunderland We have a 16.1% chance of drawing with Sunderland and Tottenham beating Hull which = 49.9% These are the only two things that can happen to ensure our safety this weekend
MC Prussian Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Such a shame Totteringham are total shite!!! They have Wonderkid Kane©, though - so he shall end his season of a lifetime in style. Preferably with a hat-trick.
Nalis Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Difficult to predict other teams results at this stage of the season though. 4pts guarantee safety. 1pt will 'probably' be enough. 0pts might even be enough...
daddylonglegs Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 I've just got this feeling that... If we win both of our next two games, I reckon we'd stay up.
cc_star Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 As far as Hull are concerned - Spurs are on the beach, and you don't know what team you're getting when Utd turn up, they could be unplayable or dire. Hull catching us is far from over Newcastle had a good spell against us and had a good game Vs West Brom, they're not as awful as it looks. They're away at QPR and then they play West Ham, who've been on the beach since about Feb Sunderland could do us and we could need something from the QPR game, which isn't guaranteed, no matter how unprofessional they were Vs Man City yesterday It takes quite a return of results for us to be in trouble, but those results aren't that unlikely
Claridge Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 I've just got this feeling that... If we win both of our next two games, I reckon we'd stay up. If we win our next 35 prem games were in the champions league

Guest bss9401 Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Why are Spurs on the beach? Can they not win European football if they win their game?
FrankieADZ Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Why are Spurs on the beach? Can they not win European football if they win their game? i think theyve just about got it now anyway tbh..i think Southampton can get a europa league spot if Arsenal win the FA Cup.
Gary Eatfood Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 i think theyve just about got it now anyway tbh..i think Southampton can get a europa league spot if Arsenal win the FA Cup. 6th place will get a Europa League berth if Arsenhole win the FA Cup....I think? Even if Spurs don't want the Europa League I just can't see Hull scoring there let alone winning.
Sickfox Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 It's not over until the fat lady sings, and my missus has a sore throat.
GloverFox Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 ... Well I'm now 53 years of age ... have supported LCFC since I can even bear to remember and I wished I'd been shitting a brick every time I've had to think, talk or just plain watch the City as by now I'd be living in a friggin' mansion the size of De Mont Hall ... with a bloody big extension bolted on the back!!! ... so really just chill out .... support the team and remember that as Leicester City we have never ... EVER ... done things the easy way ... cos that's the way 'ah ah .. ah ah' we like it 'ah ah .. ah ah' Okay ... I'll get my coat! ....... Where the hells my blood pressure meds?!
bovril Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 I'm with Mike. If I tell myself all week we will lose 3-0. Anything better is a bonus. I'm still telling myself how awful playing at Rotherham is going to be next season. I'll refuse to believe we're staying up until someone tells me we're safe.
stockyfox Posted 12 May 2015 Author Posted 12 May 2015 Re Sat v Sunderland, I will be interested to note how much one Daniel Defoe contributes to the proceedings. He is a class player, capable of turning a game in the twinkling of an eye. I trust NP will have delegated someone to 'look after' him!!!!

Doesn't matter who looks after him He can create a goal on the edge of the box out of nothing, or be in the right place at the right time in 6yrd box and it goes in off his arse

I think it will be the same intensity vs Tottenham away where we to put it lightly, ****ed them up early on. Will expect whoever is CM (probably Drinkwater) to give him a kick early in the game, and Wasilewski to go in 200% hard on a 50/50 - let them know who they're dealing with.

stockyfox Posted 12 May 2015 Author Posted 12 May 2015 Whoooooooooooo?Ha! What a clanger! On second thoughts, Daniel Defoe won't be a problem - (apparently, he was booked last Friday by R.Crusoe - or was it the other way round............but it might be another story with Jermain.
