ok that makes it alright then.. I don't remember the trawler men  picketing the sound studio's when he was recording the utter shight he dished out...perhaps they should of done ...Ck_Wza5WsAAYshQ.jpg

That picture tells a thousand stories, a multi-millionaire and all his mates goading and taunting hard working fisherman concerned about their futures just so they can tell all their mates at the next Green/Labour party meeting they stuck it to Farage.

I can't wait until this is over. How sickening.

To be fair if you read on Twitter quite a lot of the "remain" campaigners walked off the boat in disgust as soon as they could, so we shouldn't tar the whole lot with this brush.

Wonder how many fisherman/women were on Bob's boat?

Well he's a self made man, I think many would respect that.

Does having money mean you can't voice an opinion? Does it make a point of you instantly invalid?

I think people would respect self made men, I don't think they respect swearing, goading and taunting the working class genuinely concerned about their futures just because he's got the money to do so.

I'm a "self made man" but I wouldn't dream of hiring a boat and screaming abuse at people who haven't been as fortunate as I have and are trying to save what they have got left of their industry...but that's just me though..

You  defend the man worth 100 million.. I will stay on the side of the trawler blokes who risk their lives to make a living.... why the fook we have to import fish while living on a island  baffles me...  as for "Saving the world" he ain't done too bad out of it ....

Well there is a questionable boat of the Leave side as well - don't think that one represented a working class fisherman

WTF that has do with anything is beyond me....just mud slinging.  did you realize a boat is an inanimate object?  so if the previous owner of your car had been done for fraud you would be responsible?  ridiculous...

I wouldn't try and defend this Osborne stunt - it was ill advised. The bigger question is now he's made his position untenable (either way to be honest), who's the next Chancellor!

If he really threatened an emergency budget then like I say I agree that's out of order. If he's just talking about what might happen down the line then it's fine imo.

EU referendum: Vote Leave sets out post-Brexit plans

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-36534802

This should be getting more attention. The problems start right at the beginning when they claim they can stop freedom of movement but keep free trade completely on their terms. If they can do that, well done, but nobody has ever done it before, and the EU is adamant that the UK won't be able to either, so it seems like pure fantasy to me.

If this is a serious "roadmap", and it starts as badly as that, it gives me no confidence at all that we'll be able to avoid a shambolic first few years with long lasting effects in the event of a leave vote. I can't see any winners, except the politicians on the leave side, and the lawyers who mop up the mess.

But if you're trying to make a point, wouldn't it have been better to have a less controversial boat as part of your floatilla? It's the association that is questionable - after all, the protest is supposed to be standing up for the average fisherman, but when you use a boat that's been involved in a UK based scandal afflicting those very same fisherman it doesn't feel quite right does it?

Now I've countered with this, in part because you've cast a similar case against Geldof. You've looked to tackle who we is, rather than what he was saying, so one thing you might wish to consider is trying to hit a bit of balance to your arguments.

Anyone who's read your posts will all get you're passionately pro-exit, but to position things as so Black and White is foolish. There are things to denounce on both sides of the campaign regardless of what side of the fence you are on and when you're trying to carry sway on an individual capacity sometimes a little humiltaly speaks volumes to others. The other option is to praise absolutely everything your side does and look like a fanatic.

Now one thing that Geldof did at least bring to the campaign today, whether intended or not, was a bit of much needed humour. Having watched some of the clips, I think it's one of the highlights of the campaign for the stupidity of it all - politics on boats!

Had it just been Farage and his boats, it would have been quite a dull and rather one sided PR stunt... I bet Nigel couldn't have imagined he'd come up against a rival 'IN' boat, led by Captain Bob, complete with the speakers from the ministry of sound (the travel of sound was quite impressive, all the way to Parliment Square it seemed).

Nevertheless, Geldof's intervention has done Nigel some favours - it's ensured he'll feature in slot one on the news today and that was the point was it not?

Grown men floating about on boats shouting at one another. Mmm, sums up politics in this country entirely tbh. What an embarrassment - the rest of the EU (and the world) is probably looking on thinking 'England, LOL'.

The men we have in charge of this country haven't got the slightest ****ing idea of what to do to make it any better - that ain't gonna change whether we're in OR out.

The day that 'governement' is run by doctors, economists and scientists is the day that progress will be made. Until then we have a bunch of man-child buffoons who wouldn't know how to run to the end of their ****ing street, let alone run a country.

It was packaged and announced as an emergency budget that would be called immediately after a Brexit... and it's massively back fired for him. John McDonald pointed out that the things proposed would go against conventional economic thinking in the situation presented and labour wouldn't support it.

Ed Vasey had a hell of time with Andrew Neill on the Daily Politics with it - so much so, John Mann just sat there for about 5-7 minutes not being asked a question and for a man who seems to like the sound of his own voice, he was more than happy to keep quiet as Vasey dug deeper.

So whatever happens, we know there will be a reshuffle - and George will do well to survive on either result now.

Women folk kept at the back of a ramain speech in manchester....I may be a "little Englander" but it makes me uncomfortable...sorry

you are judged by the company you keep...

Who says they were 'kept' at the back?

Looking at those Geldof pictures really does hit it home just much of an elitist/liberal London/establishment v the people this election is for some. I don't think I could ever behave like that towards hard working people no matter how much money I had.

Extremely unedifying, as someone mentioned though some remain supporters have apologised, what a massive PR own goal for the rags tomorrow though.

no you are right its just a coincidence... fook me...

It may well be that they chose to be at the back.

Frankly, your thinly-veiled racism and bigotry is becoming tiresome. You appear to be incapable of having a civilized and reasoned discussion about this or anything else.

It's interesting that you describe yourself as a 'self-made man' - your parents must be relieved to be absolved of any responsibility.

I've studied the picture closely now, and I've realised the floating head is actually Guy Faulkes. More evidence of sadiq Kahn sharing the stage with a terrorist. These remainers can't be trusted :D

I'm beginning to think the old Guy had the right idea.
