FoxFromCoalville Posted 23 May 2015 Author Posted 23 May 2015 Was Conrad the player who went into nige's office in tears perhaps ??? We all assumed was knocky i did think that when typing the post. definitely more "emotionally attached" to the club than knocky
fleckneymike Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 He told a member at Birstall Golf Club he was on 8k when Sven was manager. He never signed a contract under Sven. He renewed under Worthington and Pearson only. He is a reserve, reserve goalie who played with the under 18s, why would a reserve, reserve keeper be able to command up to half a million pounds a season? Why would anyone play a reserve, reserve keeper half a million pounds?
The Guvnor Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 Some ridiculous comments, 14 years loyal service, show some respect and good luck Conrad wherever you go!!
Soar Fox Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 Some ridiculous comments, 14 years loyal service, show some respect and good luck Conrad wherever you go!! I'd be loyal if someone was paying me a few grand a week for doing fvck all. Shame he didn't show any ambition by dropping down a league or two and try to work his way back up the leagues being a number 1.

Why would anyone play a reserve, reserve keeper half a million pounds? Believe it or not he did tell a friend of mine who is a Birstall GC member he was on 8k when they played together and Sven was manager,I was never sure if that was per week or per month and a don't give a toss either way.

He'd be overpaid at 8k a year
Sir Fynwy Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 He'd be overpaid at 8k a year He was/is definitely overpaid, hence sitting on the bench here rather than going to play for a team in a lower division
weller54 Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 Was Conrad the player who went into nige's office in tears perhaps ??? We all assumed was knocky It WAS him.. He'd just been to the staff canteen and was told all the Pukka pies had been sold!!
Matt Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 He deserves praise for sticking around through thick and thin over the years. In this day and age 14 years at one club deserves applause. The epitome of a clubman. Hope his testimonial is a success! Or happy to sit on the bench and see the money roll in. Easy life. Not knocking him, i'd probably do the same!

Jimothy Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 Think some people underestimate the work he will have done in training with the first choice keepers he was understudy to, and also helping outfield players with drills. He might not have been a valuable member of the playing staff over the last 14 years, but I'm sure he was seen as a valid member of staff by many at the club, he wouldn't have been allowed to stay so long otherwise.
MikeyT Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 Conrad Logan @conradlogan 8h8 hours ago Last game as a @OfficialFOXES player tomorrow. It's been a pleasure to be part off for 14 seasons.Wish everyone the best for the future #lcfc
Soar Fox Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 Hope his testimonial is a success! He'd be on the bench for it.
jammie82uk Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 Would love to see him get 5 minutes at the end of the game tomorrow, just so he's got a PL cap. He's not registered is he?
Matt Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 He's not registered is he? If that's the case which I think it might be, it'd just be like us to field him to give him a PL appearance and a 'send off' then get fined/point deducted and be relegated! DON'T RISK IT!
fazzyfox Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 Should name one of the suites/stands after him, in his honour, or even give him a minute's applause on 25 minutes (his squad number). .....or perhaps a memorial plaque on the bench
EGBFitness Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 I wonder what he actually cost city per game? If you add his 14 years service into his 30 odd games would he be our highest earning player per game/by minutes? Fair play to him for sticking around though, bit of a Steve Harper but can't fault him really for when he has ever been asked to play for City
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 I think there's a degree of jealousy in some of the comments here. I suspect many of us would do what he's done, been consistent for many years and fulfilled a job that was required of someone. Good luck Conrad, and thanks for the service you've given our club.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 good luck safe hands as he is affectionately known among the blue army
fazzyfox Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 But who is going to wear the filbert fox costume on match days next season (The club had to get some work out of him somehow)?
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 It WAS him.. He'd just been to the staff canteen and was told all the Pukka pies had been sold!! ...turns out it's still not funny the 832nd time
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 ...turns out it's still not funny the 832nd time The old pie related jokes are running a bit thin aren't they (no pun intended). A bit of originality is needed.
