Played both the FIFA 16 and PES 16 demo this morning and PES 16 was BY FAR the better game. 
 
PES 16 actually plays like a real game of football. FIFA 16 is just a back/forth end to end jolly with no real tactics / difference between players. PES 16 felt much more tactical. Winning the ball back was more enjoyable, defending actually felt like a decent challenge and it was pretty fun to try and win the ball. 
 
In the 2 matches I played I saw more different types of goals / shots than I have in FIFA in years. Also the keepers make interesting saves and the rebounds, etc. are always different.
 
I can totally overlook the official licenses / player names if the quality of the football is much better, and it is, by miles. It doesn't feel anywhere near as wooden / scripted and it had a really nice flow to it. 
 
I'm sold. FIFA 16 pre-order cancelled. PES 2016 ordered. Done.

It was just a totally different experience. I really hope more people **** FIFA off this year and give PES a go, they deserve it. EA have slept over the last 3-4 years IMO - making tiny changes to the game and charging people the same £40 for it. It's about time they learnt that you've actually got to keep moving forward with something otherwise people will eventually jump ship. 

 

The way that all of the players feel like individuals in PES - tall players win more headers, quick players outpace slower players on the wings, etc. I can actually see there will be some depth to making subs - for instance if you're getting totally panned by a winger you will actually be able to change shape and make a sub that will nullify that player and vice versa... If you spot a slow player on the other team, you can bring on a quick player to make the most of it. 

 

I've stuck by FIFA for a long time - this will be my first PES and I'm actually buzzing to get my hands on it on Friday. Great stuff.

I don't think it was? How can a game with fake names be the best game of all time? We are called East Midlands for Christ sake. About as real as Forests promotion chances. Fifa will always win for me hands down, purely for the realism.

 

How can a game where Jeff Schlupp, our players' player, is just about our worst ranked player...at 68!!! Worst game ever.

 

Pro evo 4/5/6 - gameplay perfection. Stuff ya licences, footy games have progressed so little the last decade.

too be fair Vardy was rated 61 on PES 15 our worst player.

turned up yesterday, bought it off amazon I'm not complaining

I pre-ordered mine off Amazon and it says it won't get to me until the 24th! How the hell did you get it early?!

Will be the match day update thing players get boosted or downgraded pending on performance it's been in the game for about 3 years now lol

I just play career mode and pro clubs I don't know if it ever applied to me
