Why not go for quality like nzonzi he can only say no if we don't bid for these type of players they ain't going to knocking the door saying please can I sign for you go for it nige

THIS

People are seriously underestimating our own club. You have to go out and get these sort of players and compete with the so called 'bigger' clubs if you want to improve otherwise it will be another relegation scrap. C'mon nige get him in and/or Kante.

Wasnt underestimating our great club think we should go for quality like nzonzi would rather spend 8 mill on him than spend 8 mil on a player that may turn out good nzonzi is proven same goes for Charlie Austin just because other so called bigger teams are interested don't mean we carnt compete

The bid has already increased by a million in the space of a few posts, apparently - come on Rudkin get this done before the price skyrockets !

Wasn't having a go at you I was agreeing with you that we should go for quality players to get better and that others on here underestimate our club.

Too many people on here saying he would never come here let's face it this time last year did any of us really think Esteban the legend cambiasso would be gracing the king power

Miss read your comment totally agree with you we should go for who ever nige thinks is worth it and not think oh I won't come here get the bids in and see what happens

i just feel this is similar to Villa wanting 15 million Vardy or arsenal wanting 5 million pound Schlupp!

Maybe but you don't get good players unless you bid for them

That's fine I thought so. Anyway also agree with your other post about cambi coming here lots of people said he would never come. In nige we trust.

I agree N'Zonzi is unlikely and that this perceived bid is probably to hurry Caen into a decision but does anybody think that with 2 quality and well regarded CM's available in N'Zonzi and Kante that the club might take the opportunity to really strengthen the CM position?

Along with our defensive frailties - which Huth and Fuchs have gone some way towards addressing - our inability to physically control a game from midfield was a big weakness of our last season. If we can tempt N'Zonzi and Kante in for £17-20mil there is a possibility Pearson might go for it and potentially save spending money there next season. We do have James out till at least Christmas and Cambiasso and Hammond out of contract too. We could yet potentially start the season with 2 CM's on our book. Signing both, however unlikely it is that we could attract N'Zonzi, might not be completely out of the question.

lol, using this logic you could probably link astrophysics with Conrad Logan's scrotum.

Great - cheers for that - I now have a rather unwanted image in my head that I just know is gonna come bouncing back all day!!  :D

Bang on we do need to strengthen the midfield why some people think nzonzi is out of the question is beyond me yes we are a up and coming team but we need to start somewhere get the bid accepted then try to tempt him you never know

This is very true if we sign all 3 of N'Zonzi, Csmbiasso & Kante, then it will leave us with a very crammed midfield department. However I would imagine it would take 6-12 months for Kante to settle into the pace of the English leagues. So by the time he has settled Cambiasso will most likely be coming to the end of his final year, which then leaves us in a better position unlike this year!

Here's a question for you all, if you had a choice what would you rather have.

A) N'Zonzi & Kante but no Cambiasso.

B) Kante & Cambiasso but no N'Zonzi.

A.  Kante and N'zonzi have years left of their careers and we need to be looking to the future rather than having Cambiasso for another year.

if there is no C then it has to be B - oh the poetry!...... he he

I didn't put C on purpose to see if people would rather have Cambiasso or N'Zonzi really. Obviously we would love to get them all & I hope the target is 3 centre mids. But then I can see that being goodbye to Drinkwater & Hammond.

It's not even debatable.

I'd love to see Nzonzi and Kante bossing the midfield and protecting our three centre halves.

Give a license to Schlupp and Allbrighton to get forward to support our three attacking players.

It won't happen but I can dream for a couple of days.  :)
