srbfox Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 Might be a move backwards but we might be paying him a better wedge and we know what matters the most
Collymore Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 What's the connection between Cambiasso, Hartlepool Utd and Stoke City ....? I'll give you half an hour and give you the answer if no one's got it. The answer is Harry Worley. We played him in the Cambiasso role when we got relegated to L1 in that 0-0 V Stoke, he was a centre half. Probably the worst and most desperate time of our career. He now plays for Hartlepool.

He was basically rubbish. I do remember G Mac and Hume missing gilt edged chances.
Collymore Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 I was at that game and don't remember Harry Worley spraying the ball around or scoring any goals. errrrrm that's kind of my point and probably why we got relgated.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 The season needs to kick off again cos the forum's gone shite. First this. Possibly the most tenuous link ever, then fake stories about transfers popping up in the Premiership thread. What day is the opening day of the season? Cos it can't come quick enough.

Guest Kopfkino Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 Of course it's a backwards step. We were 6 points ahead of relegatiom at the end of the season, we were 13 points behind Stoke. Stoke were 12 points off 5th and 16 points off 4th. He isn't signing a new contract at Stoke cos he wantes European football, they are a million times closer to getting into Europe through the league than we are. Lets not pretend we're a much much bigger club than Stoke either, we're both smaller fish in a massive pond and we have no real big club draw apart from the fact we're a Premier League club. It'd be a great signing if we pull it off but it's highly unlikely to happen and a likely complete waste of time
Ric Flair Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 Forget him anyway and go for Capoue, how on earth are Watford getting him? Madness.

Why not log-off indefinitely and I'll let you know when the season starts. Honest.

4everfox Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 If he decides to decline a move to Leicester without even thinking about it, then I doubt he is good enough for any club playing European football with decision making like that. He'll be squandering possession and conceding penalties left, right and centre.
artursteppe Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 I agree, it would seem to be unlikely, however another way to look at the facts as we know them ................... He has said he wants to leave Stoke to play in the Champions League. Maybe N'Zonzi has 'clouds and cuckoos' floating over his head, ( one Spanish team in the CL have offered £3M?????, they must be serious then??? ). Maybe he has just said that to make it clear to Stoke that he just wants to leave. He may actually want to leave for different reasons, which are best known to himself. Is it likely that an English Premier League team in the Champions League will want him? Would he move to Bulgaria or Slovenia for CL football? Are his apparent dreams likely or unlikely to happen for him? If they don't happen, what would he do? We have Huth, maybe Cambiasso in a player and coaching role. N'Zonzi, if he came, would be with a progressive club who will be playing 'sexy football' ( ask Robbie Huth ), the French like 'le football sexy'. You just never know. At least it is true to say that our offer is the only one to date that could be viewed as serious. Most pundits have been saying that Stoke would want £8M to let him go - we ain't far off that. It still ( at this stage ), seems unlikely, maybe, who knows, do we dare to dream, can we live in hope?????????????

He said he wants champions league football and at worst just wants to leave stoke for a bigger club, why on earth would be join a team that is not yet on the level of his current one. Sorry I would love to see it but it isn't happening!
simon789us Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 Why not go for quality like nzonzi he can only say no if we don't bid for these type of players they ain't going to knocking the door saying please can I sign for you go for it nige
goose2010 Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 Interesting line on sky sports transfer news from the Telegraph still cant see it myself though. Stoke midfielder Steven Nzonzi will follow Robert Huth to Leicester in a £7m deal.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 This is purely to force Caen's hand. James McArthur mk2. Would seem quite likely in fairness
danfox76 Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 Kram, Cambi, Huth, when Pearsons says to him what he said to these guys he will sign ))
ousefox Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 Stoke on trent is a shight heap............how could he resist the rolling hills of braunstone compared with that? no brainer..Don't know he could even consider living in Seville either if you put it like that
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 This is purely to force Caen's hand. James McArthur mk2. Does that mean Pearson will throttle N'Zonzi at some point?
