Number 6 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Sad that see these people leave our club but they've all had good times here and generally have left on a high. Sure the fans and Nuge himself will look back on his spell with us fondly. Better than him disappearing a la Knocky.
Richmondfox Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Good luck and good on him, he hasn't made an issue publicly and got on with his career positively. He has more to offer them than us, he'll get to play every week and make a difference. Nuge has more than earned his wages for us. The transfer fee is good for the club as it will offset any signing and promotion bonus he has earned, which don't go towards FFP, but his sale will.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 If we sold him for the reported 2-4mill, then it would be a great bit of business for us And it's the best thing for nugent himself, he'll get regular football now, as he would've been lucky to get on our bench this season
Nick Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Did great for us - always left everything on the field and I wish him all the best in his career.
Babylon Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Good luck Nuge! He's been such an important player for us over the last few years and a great influence off the pitch. Really sad to see him go.
fox_favourite Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Good luck to our Nugent! Fantastic player for the club and a fantastic lad! I also thought it was a nice statement that the club released about his departure.
RedSoxUK Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Sad to see him leave.. ..but for £4,000,000 we would be mad to turn it down. Pints on Top tonight.
Guest Col city fan Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Great move for both parties but I'm a bit sad about this to be honest. Possibly Sven's best City signing, he's given us an awful lot. Good luck to the bloke.
Babylon Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Sad to see him leave.. ..but for £4,000,000 we would be mad not to turn it down. Pints on Top tonight. I'm guessing the £4m depends on promotion.... in that case... COME ON BORO!!!
Beliall Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 3 down Has to happen though if we want to progress, still sad to see favourite players move on. All the best Nuge marty mcfly better hurry up get his mum and dad to bang before anymore people fade out of the photo
Guest Col city fan Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Did great for us - always left everything on the field and I wish him all the best in his career. This..
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 only 12 left from promotion squad
Bryn Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Will be missed. Good player and gave his all. All the best to him. Think Boro have overpaid but he's still a good signing.
RedSoxUK Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 I'm guessing the £4m depends on promotion.... in that case... COME ON BORO!!! Yeah I imagine it's £2-3m upfront

Wilson_6 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Does this mean we are signing Austin? Ranieri said we don't need any more strikers.
benpicko Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Genuinely gutted. Good luck Nuge, hopefully does well there
rico Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Good luck Nuge, scored some important goals and was instrumental in getting us promoted
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 It's the best move, for his career, at his age
Wilson_6 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Gutted. He always looked like he loved it at Leicester. Always played with a smile on his face. few more still to come in - 1x gk, 1x mf and 1x fwd. Ranieri said no more forwards yesterday.
MC Prussian Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Does this mean we are signing Austin? We've got healthy competition in the forward positions now. There was always one too many in my eyes. It's somewhat sad to see Nugent getting dropped, but he was the oldest of them all and probably the least heavy "burden" in terms of wages, so an easier option to let go. I'd like to thank David for his contributions over the years and the great memories that he's created in some magical moments for us. Four years is a long period for a player to stay at one club, and in many ways, his influence on the club reminds me of Steve Howard's. He may not go down as a "club legend", but he ought to be cherished as a wonderfully dedicated player and a real role model for all youngsters to aspire to, both on and off the pitch. For that I salute you, Nuge.
tylesta Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 On his day he was unstoppable like his derby performance, a good servant and character will be misses but we are moving forward looked weird seeing him in a boro top, wish him all the best up there with our best free transfers ever
