Babylon Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 And so the ranieri overhaul begins! It's been on the cards for a while really, Pearson clearly was pushing him down the pecking order with Kramaric and Okazaki coming in.
The Doctor Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 1 in 3 record over four years is pretty impressive, even more so when you consider he was only an out and out striker for half of it; probably not good enough for where we want to go, so good luck to him. First signing we've made a profit on since conolly?
LCCFox96 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 First signing we've made a profit on since conolly? Chris Wood was sold for a profit I think. Possibly also Ben Marshall?
The Doctor Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 I actually forgot Wasyl on that list so its 25. I thought Hamer got recalled? No, the forest deal fell through and he went to brizzle.
filbertway Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Will always have a lot of respect for Nuge. He was a good player for us and have it his all, also had the best smile going till Cambi popped up. Best move for both parties though, we are looking to improve our squad and Boro are getting a top quality championship striker. Good luck Nugey, see you next season!
The Doctor Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Chris Wood was sold for a profit I think. Possibly also Ben Marshall? I completely forgot we sold wood, but yes he would have been. Sure Marshall came and went for 1m.
EnglishOxide Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 No, the forest deal fell through and he went to brizzle. Ah fair enough. Has he got a recall clause if Kasper or Schwarzer get injured?
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Best of luck Nuge, gutted he's gone. One of the few successful signings Sven made! Always given 100% and a good scoring record. Will always be remembered fondly here as a huge part of our promotion season. Boro have got themselves a cracking lad on and off the pitch. Cheers David
lifted*fox Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Good luck to him. He's always played his best for us and been a good influence around the club - always with a smile on his face. Even when he went through some dry spells he fought his way back into the team. A great partnership with Vardy which was a joy to watch. Has had some unfair criticism at times from our fans but I hope he goes on to play well for Middlesborough and continues to enjoy his football. All the best Nuge!
DennisNedry Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Certainly a player I'll applaud when he plays against us. Reckon he'll bag about 12 goals for Boro this season.
Guest ttfn Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Good player and a good deal for all parties. It's a shame that he never really cut it at Premier League level because he was a very good player for us in the Championship. Best display from him was the Derby 4-1 game in the promotion season when he was magnificent, scoring 2 and setting up another. Way cleverer (in a strictly footballing sense!) than most other players at that level and I think with that in mind there's no reason why he can't be an effective championship player for another 4 or 5 years. Thanks and good luck.
AyewJoking Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 what the fúck Dave?!? We wont have any strikers left at this rate :nuge:
Guest bennytwohats Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Great player, will be missed. Shame he got injured in the run-in to last season really as the couple of games before that he was one of our strongest performers.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Best of luck to Nuge at Middlesbrough. He has scored many goals for us over the seasons here and always tried his best for the club whenever he played.
foxfanazer Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Thank you Nuge and all the best for the future! Been a brilliant signing for us.
Danizen Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 The best team in the Championship just got a whole lot better. He's guaranteed a great reaction if he ever comes back.
Danizen Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 This is one of the downsides of moving the club to the next level. Popular players that have really helped us become surplus to requirements. It happened with Knocky, now Nugent and possibly Was and as good as he is, I can see the day when the same happens with Vardy.
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Best striker we've had in the last 15 years. Good luck to him.
EnglishOxide Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Good player and a good deal for all parties. It's a shame that he never really cut it at Premier League level because he was a very good player for us in the Championship. Depends what you mean by not really cutting it. I would still prefer him over Ings, Austin or any other striker whose team got relegated last season. He is a victim of our ambition. He's not leaving because he's not good enough for the Prem.
UPinCarolina Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Balotelli Dear God, what a trainwreck that would be.
foxoffderby Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 My sons fav player. Nice chap too and easy going. Good luck mate
Larry_LCFC Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Look forward to seeing him again at the KP sometime in the future. Not a fan of chanting ex-players names, but I think I'd make an exception for Nuge.
