queensguardfox Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Great deal for 'Boro, truely missed, loyal servant and we wouldnt of been promot'ed without him
adam Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 He did a good job for us but at 4 million it's a no brainer .We need better players than Nugent now to progress.
cjslcfc Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 As many have said, a great deal for all parties. He deserves first team football and has never given less than 100% in a Leicester City shirt. Probably the most sad I've been about a player leaving (on a par with Knockaert) but we are moving forward as a club and he wouldn't really have had a look in this season. 'Boro have got themselves a cracking team player who isn't quite a top goalscorer but will give them 15-20 goals in the Championship as well as numerous assists. One thing that is certain to be missed is his personality around the club. Good luck Nuge!!
Max Power Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Top geezer, good player and part of a great Leicester season.
The Railway Man Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Sad to see him go, been a great player to watch.
indierich06 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Cheers Nuge, you'll always be a legend after that promotion season.
lgfualol Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 I want Middlesbrough to get promoted so I hope Nugent will play his part. I'm sad but will forgot about it in an hour. Wonder who'll come in, if we do get a replacement..?
steveherbe Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 3 pages of love for the guy, no negatives, Is this a record for FT? Best of luck Nuge and thanks for all you did for our club
Haydos Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Can't really argue with that, good deal for all parties. Good luck lad, been a credit to the club, good luck for the future!
Kitchandro Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Good move for all. He was a great signing on a free and we've made a profit. All hail Sven!Good luck to him.
shailen Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Probably the most consistent player we have had over the last four years. Scored some absolute outstanding goals, the ones against Derby and Boro have to be my favourites. All the best to him in the future, sad to see him go, but with the way we are progressing some players will have to be dropped.
ronnup Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Great move for everyone. And if 4 mill is correct even better. Wonder if we'll recruit another forward. Probably the most consistent player we have had over the last four years. Scored some absolute outstanding goals, the ones against Derby and Boro have to be my favourites. All the best to him in the future, sad to see him go, but with the way we are progressing some players will have to be dropped. QPR! Also, the squirrel. Memories ...
Monk Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Right move for him, but genuinely gutted, one of my favourite players in recent years. He'll be missed.
PhillippaT Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Kaizen - continuous improvement - is what's needed, since the moment you stand still, you start going backwards, and that means selling the worst to improve the best... since he was now the worst forward, it was time for him to go. We'll see if the PL can swap Sunderland for Middlesborough next season?
Foxes all the way Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Gutted about this. He has done a lot for us! But it's the right move for him, I'm sure he'll do great for 'boro.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Even with the consistent criticism from dimwits on here, his contribution over the 4 years has been fantastic. Wish him all the best.
ARTY_FOX Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Been an absolute pleasure to have him at leicester and hope he has a successful season with boro
LCCFox96 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Best of luck at Boro Nuge. Great player for the club and done his bit in helping us climb the footballing ladder. Good move for him personally and it sounds like we've recouped a good fee too. From the reported fees in the media our sales of Wood (£3mil) and Nugent (£4mil) have covered Okazaki's transfer, which based on last Saturday's showing looks a good bit of business.
SB87_LCFC Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Said on another thread, one of my favourite people connected to LCFC in a long time. was never too much trouble to stop and relate to the fans, endless charity involvement, as well as his impressive squirrel hunting techinques! 180 appearences, 59 goals, top scorer in his first three seasons, great servant to the club I would be tempted to have a bet on him first goalscorer for Boro tomorrow! Thanks for your efforts David, real gent and clearly a much loved character!
EnglishOxide Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 few more still to come in - 1x gk, 1x mf and 1x fwd. I actually forgot Wasyl on that list so its 25. I thought Hamer got recalled? I'd be suprised to see anyone going on loan. People need to remember we are playing one game a week. We are not playing in Europe. We don't need a massive squad. The young lads are meant to be on the fringes as secondary backup.
ScouseFox Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 great deal all round really. he gets a three year deal at a club that will be close to the top of the league if not promoted, great move at his age/stage of career. we get loads of money after buying him on a free. they get a good championship player to help them go up. well done everyone.
Bert Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Good luck Nuge. Not everyone appreciated just how good this bloke was for us. Always gave 100% and had such a positive impact on the team and the club as a whole. All the best at Middlesborough!
