Mahrez

Recommended Posts

Just watched the video.

I am aware that playing video games on you tube is a thing, and I know some people make a lot of money doing it. But it is really odd. Why do people want to watch someone else play computer games? I suppose it is like watching someone play football. I suppose.

Mahrez looks like he is his normal self, quiet and calm, plus he is playing a computer game. Probably hard for him to get excited about it when he is regularly playing live in front of 30,000+ fans.

In essence, few people do it in a professional way, appreciating the appearance of a (football) superstar whom they have the pleasure of meeting. There's just too many YouTubers that are so publicity-savvy that they drop all standards (if they ever had any). They're fanboys more than anything else and see such videos as a great way of promoting themselves and their antics. Sadly, they do have an audience.

as i said before

i have used only the front face

with bad resolution. just a simpel photo from googel image

to get more realistic 3d face , i need two face : side and front with HD resolution

this is an exempel between the 2d and 3d

using only a simpel front face

So with Vardy signing a new contract I don't think he ever really has huge ambitions to play for a "big Club" but It seems pretty obvious to me Mahrez is waiting to see how the rest of this season pans out he wants CL football and if we can offer it to him i think he will sign a new contract otherwise I will be sad to see him leave at any price

Who could Mahrez leave for that he'd probably get 6 starts in the Champions League that can offer better wages?

barca real bayern psg atletico man city arsenal spurs juve basically any team in the world

he would get in the barca team easy

The bench sure. But he wouldn't replace any of the front 3. Let's be honest, he isn't consistent enough yet. Maybe he'd get a few starts against the easier opponents. At best he gets 4 starts in the Champions League with Barca.

Spurs too I guess. But would he really be confident that he would be starting there? Plus he is surely smart enough not to go there, he'd just get injured.

Arsenal are tight Levy is a nightmare to deal with i bet he would love to play under Pep.

he gives the ball away - way too much to be a consistent starter with the big teams who play possession based football. His style is perfect for Leicester who depends more on 1 out of 4 crucial through ball, mazy run or direct long pass... We give possession away because we try so many of those killer balls.... not having the ball is great for our style.

But at a team like Arsenal i could see the fans get on his back quickly if he loses the ball trying a mazy run or trying something special and not coming off.... the fans there are very fickle especially if they pay big money for him.

You make the presumption he wouldn't adapt, or that he doesn't have the technical ability to adapt. Plus, he has some ridiculous quantity of take-ons (on phone so can't look up), so of course he's going to lose the ball if he tries to make moves.

He's not as bad as Knocky was losing to ball, for what it's worth.

he gives it away because ranieri, our team and our fans let him. our whole club's view on mahrez was summed up in that man city game. he had a 40% pass completion, didn't register a single defensive "action" and i think he touched the ball less than anyone else on the pitch. but he won us the game so do we give a shit? do we f uck. let him do his stuff, we know how special he is.

if he went to an arsenal, man u etc he'd be told he has to play simple sideways passes more often than not, and he'd complete them all. then his stats would say he was an incredible passer of the ball. but the stats would be bullshit.

players like him and drinkwater are managed superbly at our club. we'd much rather they miss place/mess up 9 attempted killer balls but nail the last one instead of complete 100/100 three yard backwards passes like most the "top" clubs midfielders.

I agree with this to a point.... Does anybody want slap fans who sit near you and whinge when something he tries to do doesn't come off? I hear it all too regularly I'm afraid, and it annoys the hell out of me...

Riyad Mahrez scored one of Leicester's goals in the 3-1 win at Manchester City last weekend

Football FocusThe full interview with Riyad Mahrez will be on Football Focus, Saturday 13 February at 12:10 GMT on BBC One and the BBC Sport website

Riyad Mahrez says last season's battle against relegation has helped Leicester in their challenge for the Premier League title this time round.

The Foxes were bottom with seven games to go last season but stayed up and now top the division by five points.

"When you go through a moment and you are down and losing your head, it gives you a lot of experience," said Mahrez.

"Now we get to test for first place. The mentality is not the same. Now we have nothing to lose."

The 24-year-old midfielder added: "Last season, it was very difficult with a lot of pressure. This year it is a positive pressure.

"If we finish first it is a bonus. If we finish three or four then it is OK. Last year, if we go down into the Championship we can't do this, this year."

'A dream is better than obligation'

Leicester have defied all expectations this season, losing only two league games (they lost 19 in 2014-15) to lead the division ahead of Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City with 13 games to go.

At the start of the campaign some bookmakers had the Foxes at 5,000-1 to win the title but they are now favourites.

"This is Leicester, it is not like Manchester City or Manchester United. They have an obligation to win things," said Algeria international Mahrez.

"We don't have an obligation, it is just a dream. A dream is better than obligation."

'There are no stars'

Between them, Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have scored 32 league goals this season

Mahrez, who joined Leicester from Le Havre in January 2014, has excelled this season, scoring 14 goals and providing assists for 10 more in the league.

He is one of two players in the City side, the other being striker Jamie Vardy (18), who are into double figures for goals in the campaign.

"There is not one star, two stars, three stars - we play and work for each other," continued Mahrez.

"Every team has to have two or three players who score and this year it is Jamie and me. People can say a lot about us but we are just the same, just two players from Leicester City."

'If I don't work, I don't play'

Claudio Ranieri was sacked as Greece boss before joining Leicester in the summer

In the summer, Leicester sacked Nigel Pearson, the manager who had overseen their impressive escape from relegation with seven wins from the last nine games of the season.

He was replaced by former Chelsea and Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri, who Mahrez says has brought a work-rate and tactical discipline to the side.

"We are together, very compact," he said. "We think a lot about tactics.

"We do a lot of work defensively. Me, for example, if I don't work, I don't play. Two times this year he put me on the bench because I didn't defend. I know if I don't work for the team he will drop me to the bench.

"Maybe I will start, but if I don't work, I will get taken off after 45 minutes."

'We don't have pressure'

Last Saturday, Leicester won 3-1 at one of their rivals for the title, Manchester City.

This Sunday, they face another as they travel to third-placed Arsenal, who are five points behind and whose boss says Leicester are favourites to win at Emirates Stadium.

"He is just saying that to take the pressure of his team," added Mahrez.

"Arsenal have to win the title because it is an obligation for them. For us it is a bonus, a dream. It will be a very difficult game. They are a big team who play in the Champions League every year.

"We don't have any pressure. We will just play how we do every game"
