Pearson speaks.

Too far up north for him I reckon.

He'll wanna stay local, so a Yorkshire/Midlands club I reckon he'll wait for.

I just hope he doesn't end up at Villa!

Maybe maybe not but I think it'll be down to which one comes up when the big man is ready ...... He won't want to sit on his arse too long

And his son needs a job too !

The expression is beggars cant be choosers. Hes been sacked, and hes out of a job. He wont be able to spend an infinite amount of time waiting for "the right club", which he could fail at anyway.

Pearson managed Carlisle before and you can't really get more north than that in England can you?

And Southampton. So the boy travels

I am SO tempted to have a sizeable bet on Nigel Pearson being Middlesborough's next full time manager. Especially if they don't look like romping the league at Christmas. Watch this space.

Would be quite a shift from Karanka though?

Do not think for a second that he'd consider Forest, despite being from there.

It would take someone literally desperate, or a maybe even a Forest icon, to manage Forest.

And the Forest icon route didnt go too well either.

Unless you class Freedman as a Forest icon.

Me old mate donut has already covered this .... Beggars and choosers ..

This is the scenario. He needs to get back into management, and rather quickly really.

The opportunity for the "ideal club" might not come along.

He will almost certainly be taking over a club with significant problems to be getting the job in the first place.

And don't forget junior needs some cash to feed his whore habit

What a decent, principled and likeable man. A shame we can't say the same for his two-faced former employers.

I am not going to slag off Pearson, I recognise the things he achieved as a manager even though tactically I thought at times he was naive.

I didn't know him personally and I do not know the owners personally. So I can't really say if he is principled or that his former employers were two faced.

You must clearly be one of these famous ITK people though to be able to make such a judgment.

Gibson is known for being incredibly patient with his managers, you only have to look at how long he supported Southgate, Strachan and Mowbray to see he doesn't like a revolving door there. Plus Boro are currently third with by far the best defence in the league and plenty of quality in attack, particularly Downing. I really can't see Pearson being there any time soon.

Sheffield Wednesday would be my bet.

I wonder if he would seriously consider moving abroad to manage?

Depending on the league he went to, it would require an almost fundamental shift in his footballing outlook.

After seeing Walsh and Ranieri embrace at the end of the Villa game, I would be very surprised to see Steve Walsh Snr move on, however I do think Shakespere, Phillips and Stowell will move to be with Pearson.it has been stated that the back room staff replacements have already been employed, however there doesn't appear to be a ready made replacement for Walsh and he and Ranieri have worked together previously.

I think Matt Reeves would stay. He followed Pearson to Hull early in his career, but over the international break he tweeted:

Comfortable win for @england u20s. Players trained v well all week & pleased for captain Chilwell, future @LCFC no.3!

Obviously this doesn't mean a whole lot (and Chilwell might move clubs), but he's under no obligation to tweet something like this.

We should pay Walsh £100 billion to stay with us. Nobody should be allowed to leave.

He lives in Rothley I think, seem to remember someone saying that, unlike Pearson who never moved. Might have put down roots.

Lot of assumptions from so many apparently ITK on here. Most of the backroom staff seem settled here and if and when Nigel Pearson takes on another job there will be few out there that have the financial clout we possess at the moment. There is a pretty big backroom team here and that doesn't come cheap. Raneiri is very impressed by the clubs infrastructure and that says something and the owners have ploughed serious cash into this and showed a lot of faith In Nigel Pearson not all clubs are the same and personally would be surprised if a top 10 PL club comes in for Pearson and that is what we aim to be.
