Guest Col city fan Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 If Middlesborough aren't top two at Christmas, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Karanka gone and Pearson take charge at the Riverside.
Kasey Keller Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 He still thinks he's in charge The blokes fecking gaga
NeilLCFC Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Love the guy and wish him all the best. We owe him a lot!
Wymsey Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 If Middlesborough aren't top two at Christmas, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Karanka gone and Pearson take charge at the Riverside. I wouldn't write off him going to Newcastle, if McClaren doesn't improve things there.
Carl the Llama Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Very disappointing thread, a lot of people on both sides making themselves look like ostriches. What little he said I thought was all very considered and honest in that typical Pearson manner. He has every right to take a slice of credit for our success so far given how much of it is down to his groundwork, yet the most he claims is a back-handed compliment and some people are getting worked up. He's not said anything inflammatory, he's praised our new manager, and he's declared himself open for business. All in all a very civil interview and it would be crass not to wish him the best going forwards given all we owe him, whatever you think of his foibles.
EnglishOxide Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Good to hear from Big Nige, pleased that he is getting over it and looking to the future. I'm disappointed in the people here slagging him off and calling him a nutter. Yes, he had the odd daft moment but so have Wenger, Pardew, Pellegrini, Mourinho, van Gaal, Hughes and Pulis in the past. It's the pressure of Premier League football. And, dare i say it, a trait of successful managers. The media turned on him because he refused to play up to their sensationalist bullshit, and some City fans have fallen for the media narrative instead of focusing on what he did for us - which was a whole lot of good. Shame on you.
MONreborn Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I concur. Our best maanager in our recent history Good to hear from Big Nige, pleased that he is getting over it and looking to the future. Dan Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 It's amazing how some of our fans still try and have a go at him. We've got a hell of a lot to thank him for.
KP Fox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 What a decent, principled and likeable man. A shame we can't say the same for his two-faced former employers. What's Hull got to do with this?
Soar Fox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 There's still question marks over whether Shakespeare and Walsh will move on when Pearson gets another club. I don't think they will, as they're the backbone of our success (being honest) and they'll themselves might be hesitant to leave a club that is really on the up. As soon as Pearson gets another job Shakespeare, Walsh, Philips and the rest of the back room staff he assembled will go wherever he goes. Someone who works closely at the club told me that. He still speaks to Shakespeare regularly.

Guest Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 yeah there'll be more to come I'd imagine, especially if he stays out of a job. that read like he had a lot more to say but wasn't sure how or when to say it. like i said is it henry winter that does all the great interviews with him? he'd be the one he'll go to when the time is right probably. Yeah. Henry Winter gets on well with him and wrote a lot of positive pieces about him last season along with a couple of proper interviews.

Fox92 Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 What he speaks is true (like usual). He turned this football club around, on and off the pitch, and if people seriously still criticise him then I'm sorry but you've got something personal against him. Which is sad. Pearson is a hero and he'll get another job sooner rather than later.
Babylon Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I agree with you, its not the best way to be sacked but, Pearsons sacking is justified all the sameNobody know the full story, no comment has ever been made and there is no quote in the story about it, other then it being difficult summer. If he defended his son on the point of racism he has every right to when it was only Hopper chucking out the insults and not the others.
adam95581 Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Am I the only one who kinda feels like they don't want to know what went on? The curious side of me wants to know the ins and outs (pardon the pun) but at the same time I can't help thinking it can only be negative for the club as a whole. Pearson will only give his version of events and they will be naturally biased leaving the owners with a decision to either keep stum and leave his version to become gospel or provide some sort of statement to contradict his version. I just can't see past it leaving a sour taste in the mouth and discrediting much of the good that has gone on here over the last few years.
