Pearson speaks.

'The Pearson family strongly deny any suggestion of racist comments being made by James, 22.'

Probably because hopper was the one making racist remarks, smith and pearson jr were just involved in the orgy.

All he basically says is: "I've had a break, ready for new job, see Leicester current form? That's my cv. Hire me plz."

Anyone expecting gossip obviously learnt **** all about nigel over the last few years.

He still thinks he's in charge

The blokes fecking gaga

He probably wakes up every morning still thinking he's in charge. He talks game tactics with his dog and goes to the park to scream instructions at no-one.

sheff weds will be looking for a manager soon

Reunion with Mandy, promotion to the Premier League within two years - stuff dreams are made of.

(Wouldn't mind Wednesday back in the top flight)

Donny job would suit him!

bit of a demotion though.. agree that it suits in many ways.. club with potential.. local to where he lives.

Imagine he'll get a Hudds/Sheff Weds type job though. Unless Sunderland sack little Dick soon - that could happen as they've shown they dont mind working with outspoken people.

He may get a firefighting job at a prem club, but more likely would be a championship team with promotion ambitions - Blackburn, Sheff Wed the obvious one. I'd expect it would have to be a team with resourcces as well, so no Bolton or mickey mouse teams like Rotherham (Fat Evans may be off to Posh).

As soon as Pearson gets another job Shakespeare, Walsh, Philips and the rest of the back room staff he assembled will go wherever he goes. Someone who works closely at the club told me that.

He still speaks to Shakespeare regularly.

He mentioned going abroad - that may be our only chance of keeping them if they don't fancy that.

I really hope it doesn't all come tumbling down when they leave.

Hmph. Money talks, if LCFC valued Walsh etc they could offer them more money any team could offer, and I don't see Pearson going to a club with better resources than us. Can you imagine them wanting to travel much further to Sheffield or Blackburn for less money at a less prestigous club in a lower division?

They let Pearson give the go ahead on signings and footballing operations long after the end of the season and Rimgate right up to preseason, going on to relieve him of his duties by a phone call. In my eyes a gross act of cowardice.

You don't know if any of that is actually true. You're choosing to believe it for your own reasons.

Very disappointing thread, a lot of people on both sides making themselves look like ostriches.

What little he said I thought was all very considered and honest in that typical Pearson manner. He has every right to take a slice of credit for our success so far given how much of it is down to his groundwork, yet the most he claims is a back-handed compliment and some people are getting worked up.

He's not said anything inflammatory, he's praised our new manager, and he's declared himself open for business. All in all a very civil interview and it would be crass not to wish him the best going forwards given all we owe him, whatever you think of his foibles.

As backdrop to hopefully save me from being called a moron, i agree with all of this, but....

This gives me real hope that we are moving

In the right direction and are on our way to getting to "the next level"

I do not for one minute believe we have arrived yet, but i personally have seen enough to believe it was the right move.

And Riyad also appears to agree with what the majority of us have said.

But he has come to know and like Claudio Ranieri, too, and attributes his spectacular start to the season, in which he has scored four goals, to the Italian. “He helps us a lot tactically so I’m getting better tactically. We needed that. And he has given me a lot of responsibility and confidence. He gives me the key of the game. He said: ‘Riyad, do your job offensively and defensively’ because he wants me to be a complete player. He helped me a lot in training and speaks to me.” The Italian’s defensive instructions are helpful, the offensive one simple: “He says: ‘Just go create things. I would never change your game. I like how you play.’”

The only interesting point is the one about the Pearson family denying james' racism, but that isn't a quote from Pearson, so it could be made up. If Pearson had actually said that, then we could move towards the conclusion that the sacking was the result of Pearson sticking up for James, but he didn't say that, so we're none the wiser.

All in all its just Pearson throwing his name in the hat for available jobs. Not surprised to see he's open to rebuilding his career abroad as per Moyes and McLaren, away from the glare of the British media. I'd be surprised if he ended up back in the prem, except maybe for a team rooted to the bottom come Christmas.

To be honest, there was one derogative racial term in the video we saw and that was from Hopper, so really the other two weren't racist from what we saw. I'm not removing any blame, all three are imbecilic w@nkers of the highest order.

If he has defended James from racism, he's correct, but he can't defend him from being a bellend.

I thought he was brilliant and was gutted when he left ..... What his son did (being involved and letting the world see it) must have played a big part in his going so I blamed him for everything .... HOWEVER, now the Tinkerman is here and d'you know what .. I think he is brilliant and we may just be moving to the next level ... So well done Pearson Jnr !!

The back room staff leaving May be another bridge to cross in the future .... Something will have to happen as the Tinkermans boys are also in place and they are all desk sharing at the mo ... Coffe cups keep getting knocked over ... But I'm so positive now that whatever happens will not hold us back I'm sure .... We are going places !!!

But he was signing players and running football operations long after the season was finished, and according to numerous reputable journalists he was sacked over the phone. I'm not sure why you'd even bother refuting that unless you're still clinging on to this 'Cambiasso did it' bollocks.

True, but it was reported in this article by the independent I've linked to below which is a damn site more evidence than you've got to some of the rubbish you've been spouting, including but not limited to that the reins of the football operations at the club was taken from Nige and handed to some secret syndicate behind the scenes.
