And on another point, what SERIOUSLY was anyones basis, fans OR pundits, for thinking we would struggle so badly this season?

I couldnt work it out at the time when I was getting dogs abuse, and I certainly cant now.

We have upgraded the manager to a better manager.

We have upgraded the squad to a better squad.

We are a season older and wiser.

The backroom team are in place.

The owners continue to give fantastic backing.

And yet pundits and fans thought we would be slugging it out like a team of hackers. WHY?

why.. because most of the pundits and reporters don't bother to do any research or home work, in any other occupation most of the clowns would get sacked out of it.

I know lol but if you want to read something even more pathetic, try the match thread whenever we haven't been winning this season. The amount of abuse Ranieri has got on here for the crime of not leading the team to resounding victories secured in the opening minutes of every game, that is pathetic.

The match threads are embaressing. How anyone who writes some of the highly critical stuff they do, can then write in the post match thread with any sort of straight face, amazes me.

It's like the world has literally ended, then restarted in the space of 90 minutes. Sometimes even less.

Only concern/moan is right back position.

Benaluoae (sp) doesn't appear to be the solution, and Simpson is still here.

Have no complaints yet, just go with the flow.

I thought De Laet was pretty solid today.

Niall Quinn could not be more positive or praising of our club in his post-match summary. Generally find he gives a very honest appraisal of what he sees or believes to be happening. But like him even more after today.

I'd had a drink but i was getting quite emotional hearing his praise of us yesterday - seems to really love what he sees here.

I thought he was far from solid, him and Schlupp had a poor first half (as did the rest of the team) luckily for De Laet he has enough pace to get him out of a few troubles, it should definitely be the main area to strengthen in Jan if he doesn't improve, but still at 26 he has plenty of time left.

Really was wonderful to hear!

Nah I think yesterday was as close to losing as we're going to see this season and we still won

That's confidence for you! lol

..........

People are getting far to use to this winning malarkey, this place will be in meltdown if we dare lose a couple.

It goes into meltdown when we concede first

I ****ing hate all the negative pish so called fans spout out in that match thread, I winds me up something crazy, do they know how retarded they sound, especially the ones that are still in love with pearson, Raneri can play 442 451 4231 if he wants he doesn't have to play 352 because has forgot more about football than any of you know.

Do people actually care what pundits say about us?

Worth bearing in mind that this time last year we were looking good and had just produced the mother of all comebacks vs. United before going on to win one game in the next 6 months!

Plenty to do yet.

Well obviously they do, this must be the only forum in the world that has a Do they mean us thread.

Didnt see this post earlier...

But must say, it sums up a typical foxes forum dilemma, posters clashing, others throwing out negative opinions just to troll,

knee jurk reactions, within single moments in individual games, crapping off individual players.

The above post is how I also see it, well said donnut...even the hole in the ring has substance.

It's only 5 games in. We weren't far off 11 points after 5 games last season. The first 5 results this time round (and league position) are hardly anything to go by in the same way that Chelsea wont finish 17th

Feet on the ground people.

29 points to go.

One thing I ask all fans/posters....I was a Pearson backer, but hes gone..

Stop comparing the 2, history will show Pearson took us out of the doldrums, and found an end formular that kept us in the premier league.Whether by default or not he layed out a platform, for Claudio, but even now with Claudio admitting he loves what he has inherited, he has tweeked it, hes using his old and new given players, in his interpretation of spirit, that magic pace, and shear doggedness, not lacking either in some damn good skills.

He Claudio is already creating his own era, hes adding his own interpretation, while still learning, and discovering his top 15, because 15 is the least amount of players

one needs for the BB of a PL group of players.

They are 2 different managers, when you compare the 2 too much, you miss out and dont see, the past successes, nor the small changes that make the difference, as the team grows and developes further.

I am sure in 2-3 seasons time, we will be sitting smugly , looking back over the then past 7-10 years, that then maybe the time to compare, the 2 eras, now too early.Another thing dont look always at the negatives you believe you have found,

run with the positives, dont be misseryguts every week.Stay miles away from being the hero in one foot in the grave,

'DO BELIEVE IT' we are going places, it will have its ups and downs but dont dampen other peoples pleasure.

Banter, opinions.. all great but now is the time to support our new Italian, he can create the biggest crest of the wave we are riding.

We're found our style that works in this league now though, that's key. Along with having a much stronger squad. It took us 19 games to get more than 10 points last season.

Surely its about time the "chief football writer" on the daily mirror john cross made a public apology, I remember this clown scribbling us down as rock bottom on the back of a fag packet at the start of the season... the idiot is stealing a living...

After a few good years on this otherwise excellent forum, the crap spouted from some when we appointed Ranieri left me speechless hence I've opted away from here.

Hope some of them now feel utterly embarrassed and they too should follow suit and quit out of shame
