Where does everyone drink for this?

I'm planning to get over Birmingham earlyish and drink around there first but then move onto The Hawthorns/West Brom for a couple of hours before kick off.

Last year I went with that plan and was gonna go to somewhere called The Vine but took the wrong turn out of the train station got lost and it seemed to be miles away (It was gonna take sometime stupid like 30 - 40 odd minutes to walk to according to the map app on my phone) so just went straight to the ground but it took forever to get served.

So either gonna stay in Birmingham till as late as I dare or try and not make the same mistake as last year.

Hopefully the games as good as last year, that was amazing!

The vine will have a few in

We tend to just end up in the city centre as you can walk between new St and snow hill and take in a few pubs along the way.

Briar rose was good a few years back before a game at Birmingham. 2 mins from new St. There's another pub 2 doors down as well.

Yeah went Briar Rose when we played Birmingham a few years ago, was quite good.

I love the Post Office Vaults (Recommended by Unabomber) for their huge selection of beers but no-one (Football crowd wise) really goes in there and it lacks football atmosphere - but I wouldn't expect it any other way.

BARS FOR BRUM CENTRAL:

Briar Rose (Wetherspoon) on Bennetts Hill is cheap and good for football fans but the recently opened Cosy Club which is further up the hill on the corner http://www.cosyclub.co.uk/birmingham is more upmarket and directly opposite is Lost and Found which is also upmarket with secret hidden bookcase bar http://the-lostandfound.co.uk/

Also worth checking out is the Old Joint Stock which is also in the same area (right turn past Cosy and left opposite Cathedral) http://www.oldjointstock.co.uk/ which has in my opinion the best beer!

Bacchus bar is directly opposite New Street Station downstairs in Burlington Arcade and is quite quirky http://www.nicholsonspubs.co.uk/restaurants/eastandwestmidlands/bacchusbarbirmingham

See Birmingham play Wolves again this Saturday same as when we played WBA last season, although this season Birmingham kick-off at 12.30. Should be fun.

I know, I can't believe it's happened again.

Hope it's as good as last year. Easily my favourite away of last season for obvious reasons.
