Kinowe Soorie Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Offers very little at the moment. The closing down aspect of his game was excellent at the start of the season but has flattered to deceive since!
sdb Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Some rash statements in here tonight!! We looked worse without him yet he's now not good enough for this league?! Ha
johnny the fox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 The bloke needs to stay on his feet .Spends most of the game diving about looking for a foul. I think we have found our scapegoat... what a relief..
AS78UK Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Thought Krameric looked decent today, with some nice touches. Think it would be great to see him get a run of games, similar to what chance okazaki has been given. Ulloa is always there if we need to go more ariel.
Soar Fox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Not been good enough since the Sunderland game. Though today I thought he played quite well and I'd like to see it back as I thought he could have had a penalty. Ranieri fvcked up today, Albrighton was putting some great crosses in and we were crying out for Ulloa. He then takes our best crosser off when we bring on our only aerial threat up top.

Okasaki was absolutely excellent away at West Ham.
ozleicester Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Gotta say I didn't understand the sub. Ok take Okazaki off, I understood but for King? Now I like King, but I just didn't understand it, surely in that situation your bring Ulloa on. This. I must miss something, i thought Okazaki was pretty good again yesterday. works hard creates chances. dont get the dislike
maxwelld_ Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 After a fantastic first two games for us including the West Ham goal, he's been a passenger in most of the games. Would sooner see Ulloa starting, gives us something a bit different. Leo is far too lazy and doesn't press from the front which is our counter attacking style which has worked well every game apart from today. Arsenal were on fire today and would be beaten most teams in the league with that performance. Only change for me next week is Fushs for Schlup who look lazy and not interested in today's game.
maxwelld_ Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 This. I must miss something, i thought Okazaki was pretty good again yesterday. works hard creates chances. dont get the dislike It was attempt to Shaw the midfield up which arsenal were winning that battle. But it gave them more time to play from the back. First CR error but we will bounce back and you don't become a bad manager after 1 result.
kiki Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 At least It was 1-2 when Okazaki was on the pitch
Nalis Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Not writing him off by any means but he seems to be a bit of a nothingy player. Works hard but not much else Could have said the same about a certain England International not so long ago.
Guest Col city fan Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 After that opening game where he was sensational, I don't see what he gives us. It won't be many goals I don't think. And he's not exactly a target man. I appreciate his effort and work rate but don't really 'get' why we are playing him at present.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 No, I can't understand why we're playing a player who has consistently scored goals in the Bundesliga. He must be rubbish. By which I'm not saying that we shouldn't try other setups, but neither should anyone write him off.
Guest Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Agree to disagree then. I think Ulloa (who got 13 goals last season) was unfortunate to be dropped from the starting XI and think he's been good in the cup games. He deserves another run in the side. I think people underestimate how good it is to have somebody who can hold the ball up and bring others into play. This is an overused weak argument. How many did Mahrez and Vardy get last season? How many have they got in the first few games?
Guest Col city fan Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 I never get the comparisons between leagues. Scoring 13 goals in the Bundesliga is not the same as 13 goals in the Premiership. The two are miles apart give or take a few teams. If Shinji was looking like scoring often (Eg. Missing chances but having chances kinda thing) I'd feel more optimistic. But I can't recollect him recently looking like getting much at all. He looks ok. Industrious, a team player and all that. But I'm just not sure I get why he's currently in the first 11.
FireFox Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 No, I can't understand why we're playing a player who has consistently scored goals in the Bundesliga. He must be rubbish. By which I'm not saying that we shouldn't try other setups, but neither should anyone write him off. We shouldn't write him off, no. But Ulloa scored only one less in the Premier League (the league we are playing in) last season than Okazaki did in the Bundesliga. Ulloa also played less minutes and had less shots. He also helps so much with set pieces. Okazaki has been given a chance. The first two games he looked class, but since he hasn't, and we should try something else while maybe giving him more time to adjust. This is an overused weak argument. How many did Mahrez and Vardy get last season? How many have they got in the first few games? And what does Mahrez and Vardy scoring have to do with starting Okazaki, Ulloa, or Kramaric? Unless you are suggesting playing a 451 or 4231. Mahrez and Vardy have started the season and so far (for the most part) have continued to be "in form". Okazaki has not continued that. Ulloa has looked good and helped change the game every time he has come on (imo), and he apparently did well in the cup game.
Fox92 Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 This is an overused weak argument. How many did Mahrez and Vardy get last season? How many have they got in the first few games? On the other hand though, Vardy and Mahrez start every week where as Ulloa is getting 20/25/30 mins max at the minute.
Guest ttfn Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Okasaki was absolutely excellent away at West Ham. I can't believe 2 (good) posters both said he hasn't been good since the Sunderland game, he was brilliant at Upton Park.
Fox92 Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 He was excellent at West Ham, I agree. Sadly he got a knock though (didn't he go off at half time?). Played a big part in both goals. But I feel like he was closing down a lot more than he is now, and sadly he seemed to be deeper yesterday (I know we play a 4411 anyway).
foxfanazer Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Could have said the same about a certain England International not so long ago.Maybe, never really seen Vardy go missing in games though tbh. Like I say it would be stupid to write him off but I think Ulloa deserves his chance now
jasonspliff11 Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 I agree i dont understand why we keep playing vardy and shinji together as they are to similar in play for my liking. The difference being vardy is english so is used to being pushed about shinji seems to be pushed off the ball every time i see him.Am not writing him off i just think he should be switching with vardy not playing at the same time big man little man thing( i don't mean ulloa either ) I feel to be honest the only reason shinji keeps getting in the team is because of the pearson junior situation.
DEMANN Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 He's not sharp enough. Apart from the West Ham game, has he looked like scoring? Doesn't create much either. Not on the edge of my seat when he has the ball at his feet. Sloppy player, bad touch. I said this after the Sunderland game and got slated. It's early days yet though.
ronnup Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Am I be only person that disagrees? I think he's a vital part of creating chances and applying pressure from the front and he's far more than his goal tally. No coincidence that two of the Attacking players beside him are the top two premier league scorers.
wight88 Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Won't get dropped as he is our token oriental poster boy and claudio would fall out of favour with the owners.
