Suffolk exile Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Have to agree with the OP. Definitely time to 'shuffle' the pack. It is a bit of a problem deciding who would come in. I want to say Ulloa (as he has looked good when he has come on) but maybe it is Kram's chance to impress(?)
kingfox Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 What 'hate'? Get a grip lad Negative comments then, no need for them.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Negative comments then, no need for them. Can't have a football forum to have differing opinion on football can we lads.
JPM1983 Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 No, I can't understand why we're playing a player who has consistently scored goals in the Bundesliga. He must be rubbish. By which I'm not saying that we shouldn't try other setups, but neither should anyone write him off. Call me Sheldon, but sarcasm isn't my strong point. "consistently scored goals in the Bundesliga" is sarcastic though isn't it?
dayday Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 As mentioned, Okazaki never looks like scoring, I would be interested to see how many chances he has actually had this season.
Stadt Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 I'd have a go but I think he'd be more likely to knock me out
Jimmy Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 it's been a few games where he hasn't really contributed time to give someone else a chance with Vardy
Countryfox Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Have to agree with the OP. Definitely time to 'shuffle' the pack. It is a bit of a problem deciding who would come in. I want to say Ulloa (as he has looked good when he has come on) but maybe it is Kram's chance to impress(?) Agree it's time to shuffle the pack ... Not that Shinji is not good enough but his goal tally isn't brilliant (I know he has other attributes) and imo he is similar to Vardy (cept for the goals) and would be good to bring on when Jamie's duracells need recharging.. But we need a plan C and that involves looking for someone else ... Austin Rhodes or whoever .... Couldn't help feeling as I watched Boro Leeds earlier that we should have kept Nuge till plan C had been sorted .... And also but not relevant to this thread I thought Sol The Wall Bamba had a few bricks missing today
Jimmy Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Nuge wouldn't have been plan C he was a lesser Okazaki in how he played, dropping off and playing behind Vardy
Countryfox Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Nuge wouldn't have been plan C he was a lesser Okazaki in how he played, dropping off and playing behind Vardy Agreed. Plan C was new blood as Kram isn't good enough and we need more than Leo as an alternative as it's along season
Jimmy Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Agreed. Plan C was new blood as Kram isn't good enough and we need more than Leo as an alternative as it's along season how can you say someone isn't good enough without them ever getting a run in the side, Pearson wouldn't play Albrighton for most of last season would he, so that's hardly the greatest indicator
Countryfox Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Nuge wouldn't have been plan C he was a lesser Okazaki in how he played, dropping off and playing behind Vardy And don't type so fast I can't keep up on this frigging iPad

I'm sorry I just don't think he's good enough and should go out on loan ..... Tbh this has been covered to death in the Kramaric thread and people are pretty split on it
Unabomber Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Negative comments then, no need for them. If you want to see rainbows, you've got to put up with the rain. And do you know which "philosopher" said that?
AyewJoking Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 and people say she was just a big pair of ...........
HitchinFox Posted 28 September 2015 Posted 28 September 2015 While Okazaki has been pretty much invisible in the past three games, I'd still pair him up with Vardy against Norwich - especially at their place. We need energy upfront to prevent them from getting free transition from defence to midfield, which is the way they like to play at home - building up, occasionally using the flanks. Ulloa doesn't offer that and it would all be down to Vardy to run around being a menace. Shinji would disrupt their build up and the longer balls they inevitably would have to launch would play into our hands with Wes and Huth. Schlupp and De Laet should be capable enough to deal with the pace on the wings - Norwich's alternative method of going forward. They've scored 11 goals in the Prem this season – only 1 which has been from a striker. So they will come at us as a team. If we can disrupt that and try and isolate their connected parts, it'll work in our favour. For that we need lots of energy, putting the pressure on. Also, Okazaki only needs to get them into making one mistake and we're in - and his confidence will return.
Babylon Posted 28 September 2015 Posted 28 September 2015 Difficult one. When you put Vardy with Ulloa, he'll be the one dropping deeper, doing a load of donkey work. Which means you might lose the extra threat we have with him being a bit more further forward and a bit more central. Leo without a doubt deserves to start ahead of Shinji on merit, but it's the knock on effect to Vardy that I worry about.

shen Posted 28 September 2015 Posted 28 September 2015 I have no like or dislike of you. You don't even beep on my radar so get over yourself. It must be that you happen to post badly often. You've clearly got a bag on about Okazaki, I don't believe it's racist but I know some on here have said that. Ulloa is too much of a donkey for our fast style of play. He's good when teams are sitting back with a lead and we're attacking but he can't chase down the ball and when teams have possession - as every team seems to have against us - he is pretty useless. It's horses for courses. He's not quick, but he does work hard and keeps the shape of the team nicely when we're not in possession. I disagree that he's not good enough for our style of play. He scored a handful of goals as a result of a counter attack last season. Admittedly it might require us to go back to a 3-5-2 to keep the midfield solid-ish. Time was a few games ago but the problem is no alternative winger as we could then move Mahrez into that position, which would benefit De Laet too. Hopefully Dyer is back next week. Or we could've switched to a 3-5-2. The personnel was on the field.
themightyfin Posted 28 September 2015 Posted 28 September 2015 Thought he had a good 45 on Saturday. Our problem does not seem to be scoring goals so why change it at the min? Unless someone is outstanding in training every week enough to make it impossible to leave them out,I don't think there is a valid argument to change things. We certainly look more dangerous and are creating more chances with him on the pitch than when he's not.
MPH Posted 28 September 2015 Posted 28 September 2015 For me its not about how Shinji is suddenly rubbish..... I just think that Ulloa has earned the right to start a game... Plus he'd really help us defensively from set peices.... He'd also help us on the break ( maybe!) Bomb the ball out to Vardy who'll charge down the wing, he passes it on to Mahrex or Albrighton to pump to the peno spot. Ulloa, arriving late into the box gets it on his noggin and scores with a power header. Its the stuff of dreams, lads!
themightyfin Posted 28 September 2015 Posted 28 September 2015 Deffo think we are missing Nuge's cheeky grin every week.
Swiper Posted 28 September 2015 Posted 28 September 2015 As mentioned, Okazaki never looks like scoring, I would be interested to see how many chances he has actually had this season. Though I do think it may be time to give Ulloa a start, in Shinji's defense it has to be stated how many times over the first 7 games that he's been in a good position while Mahrez is dribbling all over the place with his head down. As much as I love Mahrez, he's missed open players (Shinji more often than not) while trying to get himself a shot multiple times in every game. Shinji hasn't done much lately and a lot of that on him, but a fair amount of it is out of his control when you've got guys who won't give up the ball.
Jam Posted 28 September 2015 Posted 28 September 2015 Deffo think we are missing Nuge's cheeky grin every week. I was watching the Leeds game yesterday and i kept getting pains of sadness. Leeds' defending helped cure this somewhat but... Can we put in a loan bid in January?
Guest Posted 28 September 2015 Posted 28 September 2015 It's the defence which needs help/change not the attack.
